They were extremely professional. The price was the best amongst 10 estimates. They were very detail oriented and the quality of work was superb.

The job was completed in about six weeks and cleanup was good. They did a great job. Everything went very well.

The job took them about a month from start to finish. The delay was only due to the delivery of the tile as it was damaged by UPS Freight. They were very attentive to our input. They were easy to deal with and always available. They did a great job! It all worked wonderfully.

Just about the way he handled the proposal, he's very prompt and he knows what he's doing. He knows his stuff. No price gouging, he's really concerned about the cost.

They were closely supervised and coordinated by Mihai who was always very responsive and communicated regularly. No job was too complex for his team and he always figured out how to get us the end product we were looking for.

This is the second time we used Norpro and, once again, they were excellent, finishing the job on-time. These guys are thoroughly professional and, the owner, Mihai is a perfectionist. About a year earlier Norpro remodeled a bathroom for us, which included extensive ceramic work, and they also replaced a wood floor in our den. Both jobs were done beautifully -- which is why we hired them again!

We contacted Mihai for doing some reforms in our apartment. He came for an assessment. He seemed very professional and knowledgeable. He was very straightforward and told us that he was bidding for a different project which would keep him busy for the next few months. He would let us know in 24 hours whether he would be available. Indeed, he came back to us in 12 hours and unfortunately he was not able to take our project. We appreciated very much his responsiveness.

This was amazingly straightforward and stress free. Mihai was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the process, including helping us figure out some areas where we weren't sure what we wanted. The work was done on time and on budget and it looks fantastic. We're hoping to redo our kitchen next year and will definitely call Norpro again.

I emailed a detailed request to the owner asking for an appointment for an estimate on some projects, which included: 1. Updating 2 bathrooms (tile, paint, fans) 2. Tile floors in the basement 3. Replace/repair drywall 4. Update/repair front stairs and door I give the owner credit for responding in the same day. However, he emailed me a one liner, "We don't do outside work." Thank you for informing me that you don't do outside work and I can respect that. My disappointment and dismay came from his lack of response to the other indoor projects that I listed. If these were not the kind of projects he was interested in doing, then I would have appreciated him stating so. A one liner kind of response suggests a lack of professionalism for me.

They squeezed us in their schedule. Did a great job at a great price. Patient with our questions and schedule.

My condo was flooded by a sewer backup. I contacted a couple of contractors and NorPro provided the most timely and processional services. They are very responsive and patient with all my questions and requests. Highly recommended!

The craftsmanship was very good. They came back several times to get the seals right in the frameless showers. They were very accommodating with that. They didn't charge us anything additional. It was a good experience. It wasn't absolutely perfect, because it would have been great if it was right the first time. We were pleased with the result. They were helpful. They suggested some places to purchase materials and things of that nature. That worked out fine. It was pretty good.

Mihai and his team are great. They are quick, efficient and provide a high quality of work. Mihai always keeps in contact with you and keeps you posted on the status of the job and any bumps along the way. Would definitely hire again!

Mihai and his crew overall did a very nice job on both kithen and (a year earlier) bathroom. Work included: framing, wallboard, soffit construction, travertine install, plumbing, electrical, cabinet install, plaster/taping, paint. overall I was very pleased with all the results. Mihai was always responsive and very accomodating, even when I sometimes needed more time to acquire items, etc. Mihai's tile guy, Marion, went the extra mile, acutally driving out to the western suburbs to meet me and receive more travertine when I ran our of tile. When I had to put in a few change orders here and there as I got a few new ideas during the process, Mihai never overcharged, but always had very moderate prices. I highly recommend Mihai and his crew.

We were in a time crunch for rental property and Norpro wasn't available.

My husband and I moved to Chicago a few months ago from out of state. Very shortly after moving into our townhouse, we learned that the place needed a fair amount of work. When it was time to tackle the master bathroom, I made calls to a few different contractors to obtain estimates for a complete renovation. My plan was to obtain 3 estimates and then select a contractor to do the work. However, each contractor would either not show up at all at our scheduled date/time or would come by and after spending a fair amount of time with me discussing the project, would not actually follow-up by sending an estimate. It was the strangest thing, not to mention incredibly frustrating? 6 contractors and not one estimate... My husband and I were at Home Carpet One purchasing flooring for our family room and I casually asked one of the employees if they could refer me to someone who can help with my bathroom project. They referred me to Mihai at Norpro. I called Mihai and he came over the next day to measure and discuss the scope of the project. I immediately felt comfortable with him ? he was punctual, polite and professional. I am experienced with house renovations as I renovated my kitchen and bathrooms in my previous home and I knew immediately that Mihai was competent. He has positive ratings on both Yelp as well as Angie?s List and when I received his detailed estimate just two days later, I proceeded to hire him for our project. The work was to begin in 5 weeks but first I would have to choose and purchase all of the materials. I wanted to be sure to order the right amount of tile, the right sized sinks, cabinets, vent fan, etc. and found myself calling or texting Mihai almost daily for guidance. He was responsive each time, either answering the phone immediately or getting back to me within the same day, even on a Sunday. This was a huge help because I did not want the project to be delayed due to my ordering the wrong materials. When the demolition was underway, we found a few ?surprises? (in my experience, there are ALWAYS hidden surprises with these types of large jobs, you just pray the surprises can be addressed easily and at a low cost?) And while it is never fun to learn about a ?surprise,? (we had 2 of them ? one had to do with plumbing and heating ducts underneath the floor where we wanted to expand our shower and the other had to do with not enough floor joists to support the floor itself), I not only appreciated that Mihai brought them to my attention (some contractors would have just proceeded with the work without fixing the problems), but that he presented solutions to address them. Mihai?s team worked together cohesively. Each team member was polite, professional, interactive and respectful of our house. Every morning when they arrived, they laid down dropcloths to protect the floors and at the end of each day, they cleaned up after themselves leaving the house in good condition. I had the benefit of being home with the crew every day, and I was able to see first-hand their attention to detail and the quality of their work. Mihai was a great project manager and was either at our house every day or was in constant communication with me and with his crew. Everyone was on the same page and it clearly showed. The bathroom came out exactly the way I had hoped ? it is absolutely beautiful! I was so happy with the outcome of this project that I also hired Mihai?s partner, Mitch, to install new hardwood flooring in our master bedroom. That project will wrap up on Saturday and so far, it looks great! Any time a major renovation takes place, it is disruptive and inconvenient, however, I believe that if the end result outweighs the inconvenience, it was worth it. This bathroom project (and bedroom flooring project) was definitely worth it! I am now happy that none of those other contractors sent estimates because we were meant to work with Norpro. And while I can honestly say I am very excited for the contractors to leave so that life can get back to normal, Mihai and his team have become like family and it has been a pleasure working with them. I do not have one negative thing to say about this company and would not hesitate to work with them again next spring when we tackle the kitchen?

Mihai was wonderful to work with. He was careful to explain all of the work to be done, made helpful suggestions, and stopped by regularly to check on the progress of the work. His workers were all highly professional and competent. They arrived when scheduled, performed the work in a timely fashion, and were careful to clean up when they left even to the point of vacuuming carpets! All work was performed to the highest standards and the price was very reasonable. We are very satisfied with the work done and we highly recommend NorPro Services We will certainly call Mihai again for any work we need done in the future.
