Needed work done by a deadline and they finished it earlier. Very professional and hard working and all did an outstanding job.

I highly recommend Mihai and his crew. This project involved it all: demo, construction, drywall, flooring, tile, electric, plumbing and painting. They were on time, on budget and always easy to communicate with. When a few problems occurred with building rules they were able to come up quick solutions. The finished product was just what I had wanted. I could not be happier.

As with every rehab, there were a few unexpected hiccups, like finding out how uneven our bathroom floor was, and worrying about the weight of the new tub in the existing space. Mihai responded very quickly to each issue and came up with great solutions. His team was very responsive to any concerns we had, and they worked with us to finish the bathroom to our specifications.

Amazing! From first visit to final completion, Mihai was always looking for ways to make the new bathroom work for us--making sure we were not surprised, had excellent referrals for tile and plumbing (Sarah at Crawford Supply), had skilled painters, plumbers, electricians, and carpenters, kept us up to date--texting photos and questions, clarifying details that mattered. He and the team did additional work to "tune up" our condo--e.g., additional outlets, replacing light fixtures, painting--so our home looks like new. The questions Mihai asked made sure we understood choices. He worked to be sure we met the requirements of the building. His professionalism impressed the building management and engineer as well as us. We love the new bath. The quality of work is impressive. We would use NorPro and Mihai again!

Excellent, far beyond our expectations. MIhai's crew, the carpenter, plumber, electrician, tile setter and wallboard installers all did excellent work. The quality of their work is exceptional. His original written estimate was honored and any additional cost were clearly and precisely explained. What impressed us the most was Mihai's integrity and honesty. Often times he'd have answers to questions we were just about to ask and he and his crew always were extremely cordial and well aware that this construction project was being done in a house that we were living in. They made every effort to keep the work area clean and safe. Mihai utilizes skilled craftsmen to perform the tasks needed who hold the same high standards as he does. We've had numerous projects done to our house over the past 22 years, but never have we been so completely satisfied as we are with the professional work of Mihai Ghiurcuta and NorPro Services. We're so satisfied with their work that we've decided to have them do an upgrade of our kitchen.

The project went wonderfully and the client couldn't be happier! NorPro was so accommodating to all of the needs that we had during the project, even the few that were not in the initial bid. Other than a vendor of mine that held up the project, they finished in a timely fashion. The project required taking the bathroom down to the studs in the bathtub area, removing the tub and relocating the shower in its place. They also built a stub wall between the shower with a bench and the two sink vanity. The floor in the entire bathroom was replaced along with all of the baseboard and shoe. The lighting was also repositioned and replaced. Then the entire bathroom was painted to perfection, trim, doors, ceiling and walls. The space looks entirely different and NorPro deserves a lot of the credit for that transformation!

Mihai and his entire team were fantastic! I have worked with contractors professionally for over 20 years and found Mihai to be one of the best out there. It really was a pleasure to work with someone so committed to quality work and customer satisfaction. Norpro renovated our bathroom and provided a number of plumbing related improvements throughout our home. At all times during the project Mihai and his entire team were on time, responsive to every issue or question, easy to work with and very fair when extra items came up. The workmanship was also excellent with everyone paying a lot of attention to the details. I highly recommend Norpro and plan to work with them again on future projects. They really go above and beyond to do things right and make sure their customers are satisfied.

We had a kitchen with a peninsula, black granite tops and backsplashes and, worst of all, a powder room in the middle of the kitchen that ate up way too much space. ?We hired an architect (Carlo Ruth...also highly recommended) and got the plans to move forward. ?NorPro does not provide drawings....you are expected to take care of this. ?Also NorPro expects the customer to purchase all materials for the project. ?While some may find this a chore it really allowed us to choose the finishes, tops, lighting etc. ?It takes time but allows you to truly customize the project (a couple of tips....SignatureHardware is a great resource for fixtures. Floor and Decor in Skokie is a great flooring resource while Lightology had a great selection of lighting and wonderful customer service) I can't say enough positive things about this company. ?They are not the cheapest but if you are after a quality end result you can not go wrong with NorPro. ?They are responsive. ?They focus on detail and endeavor to make things right. ?Mihai doesn't just hire any subs...most of the people on the job work for him on a regular basis. ?That makes a huge difference in terms of quality control. ?And when I had questions or concerns they were examined professionally and courteously. I am very happy with the result, and am grateful to Norpro for their promptness and efficiency. Tearing out the bathroom of a one bathroom condo is very stressful, but they kept on schedule and got us back in faster than I thought possible. The quality of the workmanship is evident. Mihai and his team were excellent! We had some unexpected issues arise and Mihai and his team were great at addressing our needs and addressing the issues.

Really could not have gone better - Professional, high quality service from start to finish. The new bathroom looks terrific. Mihai really has the entire skill set you would want to see from a bathroom contractor. Good communication skills, asks the right questions, makes helpful suggestions, highly responsive, has a really solid crew of workmen for each phase, is a real perfectionist, and makes sure you're completely satisfied throughout. This is a high quality operation. Each of the workers who came through (Mihai, demo guy, drywall guy, electrician, tile guy, etc.) were very professional and polite, often working while my small children were at home. The finished product looks amazing and we're very satisfied and would use Mihai again without hesitation.

Because we always needed to have a working bath the project was in two phases. First they did the master and the upstairs bathroom. When they were complete they did our downstairs guest bathroom. Mihai managed the project very well. He is an excellent communicator and kept us informed of project schedules. Even though we used a designer, there were still many on site decisions for us to make and he was very patient explaining what was going on. You never know what you will find when the walls get opened up. The project went very well. Mihai's guys were all very professional and pleasant to be around, My wife and I are retired so we were around when they were working. They all did their best to minimize the impact on us. Mihai kept the project moving along as well as can be expected. We've done other large remodeling projects, so we know what is possible and what to expect. Mihai always met or exceeded our expectations. As with any project of this scope there were problems that had to be addressed. In particular, there was a problem with the heated floor in the master bath and a wall hung toilet downstairs. Mihai was very responsive to our concerns and did not stop working on the two issues until we were completely satisfied. He took care of everything in a timely manner and at no expense to us. Well done! This was a big project, all in it cost over $80,000. Norpro's bid was right on and all inclusive. There were no surprise up charges. When we made significant changes to what he had bid on he was quick to point out their significance and suggest less expensive solutions, which we appreciated. We are very happy with our new bathrooms. Mihai and his guys did an excellent job. We have no complaints and would definitely call Norpro Services for our next remodeling job.

We had to redo 90% of our master bathroom because there had been so much damage from leakage in our shower. The only things staying the same were the sink and toilet. The original developer installed the shower floor very badly ? cheap materials, no pitch on the threshold, and a bad seal around our shower drain. We had to replace much of the flooring underneath the shower and some of the ceiling in the room below. The tile was so damaged from constant leakage that we opted to retile the entire shower and bathroom floor. We found NorPro online and they came to the rescue. With Mihai as our GC we had, quite simply, a perfect experience with NorPro: zero negatives and many positives. Mihai couldn?t have been easier to work with. He communicates extremely clearly, which matters a lot, especially when, as in our case, there are some complicated details involved. But communicating clearly is one thing; being responsive is another, and Mihai did both. He was quick to answer email as well as text messages whenever we had questions or concerns. We had a quote within 24 hours of our first meeting with Mihai, and when we needed to make some changes, he followed up with a revised quote, again within 24 hours. Also, after construction began, when some major noise issues arose because of our bathroom location very close to our neighbors? bedroom, Mihai was very responsive to our request to give us advance notice for the noisier parts of the project so that we could in turn give our neighbors a heads up the day before (Mihai?s subcontractors were also very respectful about starting any such jobs during regular business hours). We were beyond impressed with everyone Mihai hired: a tile installer, a plumber, a carpenter, a glass door specialist, and a painter, along with their assistants. The subcontractors were uniformly polite and friendly, happy to answer questions if they came up and quick to consult where decisions were required. We also felt completely comfortable with any of them in our house while we were there and while we were away. In fact, we ended up needing to have about half the work done while we were abroad for a week, and we were proven right in our complete trust of Mihai and all of his crew. I do want to give an extra shout-out to Mihai?s tile installer, Marian. We are so happy with the results of his work! We opted for porcelain tiles to replace the slate originally installed by the developer, partly for looks but mostly because it promises to be less prone to leakage and less susceptible to erosion. Marian did a truly beautiful job with the materials and the challenging designs we asked him to work with. Finally, NorPro was 100% on time at every stage of the project, which is rare, as I?m sure most readers of this website know. There were also no surprise charges at the end of the project. We paid exactly what we were quoted. With these two achievements, combined with their brilliant repair and installation work overall, NorPro hit the trifecta for us. We will certainly hire them again the next time we have a project in their bailiwick.
