Dave did a great job. He was thorough but efficient and even gave me some helpful tips if things break in the future. While he was in our house, one of our smoke detectors started chirping, and he helped me replace a battery. We also didn't have the proper lightbulbs for the light he changed, and he found the nearest hardware store, went a got them to finish the job. We'll definitely be calling him again!

He did a good job figuring out what needed to be done to deal with two finicky situations.

It went great! I happened to call him when he had just finished up a morning job and had time before his afternoon one, so he came over within 15 minutes of my call! He fixed the plumbing carefully, left no mess, and all around was a pleasant and easygoing person. His charge was extremely reasonable.

Dave took care of weatherstripping issues with the front entry door and the garage door to the house. He also adjusted the strike plates so the doors would close properly and to make a better air seal.

Dave was wonderful. From the moment he answered his phone, to his quick estimate, to his responsiveness by email follow-ups-he was great. I purchased the materials before hand, to help cut down on costs. He also allowed me to "help" his, so I could learn how to do it and also help reduce the cost. He is a former school teacher and was very patient and explained as he went. It was a great experience and I had a great time. We also have a great fence now!

Dave was very punctual. He always brings a thorough array of tools, which are precisely organized. Because he is very intellectual, he skillfully installed my sliding shower doors even though he had never done one before. He often has suggestions for a better solution, or has a part in his truck that might work better than my store-bought parts. He cleans up the work site and works efficiently. I was impressed that he offered to take the old shower door system to a place that collects home improvement "discards" for use by others. Dave is a far cry from other handymen I have hired who don't carry any additional tools and invariably have to spend a hour running to Home Depot for the necessary items. Or worse yet, they don't know what they're doing. He has also showed me how to accomplish some projects on my own that I have struggled with. I highly recommend Dave.

This was an example of Angie's list at its best. Dave was a knowledgeable, conscientious worker. He worked through my "honey do" list quickly and expertly within 3 hours. Though I had purchased all the supplies I believed we needed for the tasks, he did have parts available on his truck for all these common jobs, so a trip to the hardware store mid-visit was unnecessary - even for the cabinet hinge I didn't know needed replacing. Dave does like you to call him to discuss a job before you purchase your coupon on Angie's list so he can determine whether the job you have in mind is within the services he provides. He does not do drywall or paint.

Dave Newman is a great handyman. He is an excellent communicator and fixed everything quickly and well.

I have used David several times in the past and always with great results. I am somewhat of a do it yourselfer myself on the side but by no means a professional. I was trying to replace a clogged sink drain and having issues. I could not get the drain itself out (the drain was at least 50 years old and was really stuck in there). I had worked all weekend on this project and pretty much given up and decided to call David over. When I called he carefully listened to the problem and offered to walk me through it over the phone. He gave me a few suggestions for the removal and sure enough I was able to get past that issue and complete the project. I HIGHLY recommend David. He is very knowledgeable, reasonable rates and he really does like solving problems. I really appreciate him taking 5 min on phone to help me through the issue whereas most would not have done that. I always think of him first when I have household issues.

David was so easy to schedule a service time with. He was on time and performed all the work in a timely manner. He had parts available and even came back to adjust something without any charge. He was polite and trusted him in my home. I would definitely recommend him and use his services again.
