It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was absolutely excellent. He has been out twice already and he's coming out for the third time to do some more work for me. He was here the first time for 3 hours and then the next time for a couple of hours. For the initial visit, I ended up paying $50. He charges $50 an hour. He was here for 2 1/2- 3 hours so it was $150 and he took off $100 for the 2 hours.

Dave is very professional and mounted/installed everything perfectly. For a detail-oriented person like me, making sure that things hung on the wall are straight and centered is a big deal, and Dave got everything just right. Also, when a piece of hardware that came with the baby gate wasn't working as intended, Dave fashioned his own "stopper" so that the gate swings only one direction, as I requested. I plan to use him for future work on our quirky old house.

The front door handle/deadlock was loose and jiggled around whenever we used it. We bought a new lock and handle to be installed. Dave said it only needed to be tightened and the original was a very good lock. So he fixed it for a lot less. He also replaced 3 light fixtures, one that he had to make work because from move to move it was missing a few parts. It looks great. I am using him again for several more jobs. Also he worked the whole time. I feel like he really got a lot done in a few hours. Very pleased.

It turned out well. They came out within a week of me purchasing the deal and I paid the price for the deal and then I had him do more for his normal rate. He was very personable and he wanted to make sure I was happy with the job and I plan on using him as my regular handyman.

They did a fine job. They were very prompt and communicated well.

Dave responded immediately to my call and promptly scheduled the work. He arrived on time and completed the job efficiently and professionally. Both repairs were performed well. He's a pleasure to work with.

He performed this job in one hour and on a Sunday morning when everyone else that I called shied away from those hours. He was pleasant to work with and gave advice in what to do with the old faucet. Clean and professional through and through.

Because the hole created by the old molly bolt was so large, David had to plaster up the hole before installing a new molly bolt a few inches away from the original spot. He told us to wait a day or two for the plaster to dry so we could paint the area and then install the hanger. We did that, but my husband had difficulty with the screw going in and we thought we had a faulty bolt. We called David back, and even with his busy schedule, he fit us in and came back to see what the problem was. It was not a faulty bolt, apparently my husband needed to use a little more force with it. David finished the job of hanging the device on the wall. The kitchen faucet was a bit of a challenge, but he and my husband worked together and got it done beautifully. I will definitely be calling David again. David is very accommodating, will work with you on time and date. He is fast and efficient and very courteous.

Very nice man; did an "Okay " job, not outstanding, on the tile removal. Did a very nice job shortening a screw and screwing it in the window mechanism during a 2 hour apppointment. Price was fabulous.

I purchased a Big Deal for Newman Household Repair. Dave is a great guy and works with you and is very interactive. He will tell you what needs to be done to get the work done correctly. He is a very honest person. He came to the house this time to install a couple new cabinet doors. He also trimmed 2 doors down and put new backing on one other door.

Dave is terrific to work with, listened to what I had to say, worked with me to achieve best results possible.

Our experience with David was great from start to finish. We purchased the Big Deal for two hours of handyman services and within 30 minutes we had an email from David asking what services we would like performed. Within the hour we had the services scheduled for two days later and that night David called to confirm the timing for his calendar. The day of services David was on time and got right to work. He installed the garbage disposal quickly. The job involved moving some pipes slightly, and David did this without a single complaint. He had a little time left on the two hour deal we purchased so he was able to fix one of our toilets as a bonus. We had a great experience with David and his standard rates are very reasonable as well. We will definitely use him again when we need things around the house repaired.

It went as expected. Dave put up the shelves and did the work in a timely manner. He was prompt and courteous.

We had many odds & ends accompished -- pictures hung, hooks installed, an antique dining room piece repaired. All were accomplished quickly and perfectly. Dave Newman also made helpful suggestions. An A+ !

He was right on time, very polite, and very conscientious of his job. I would recommend him anytime.

He did such a nice job, cleaned all his messes, and put up with my barking dog the whole time he was here. Not only did he do what I asked, but suggested better ways and found and fixed other issues. He did such a great job, I've had him back to do some more work and he's going to enlarge my kitchen doorway.

Everything was done efficiently and it was a pleasure to have him working in the house. He is so kind and friendly. He came up with solutions to the repairs and was so helpful.

Dave was excellent. I actually called him before I purchased the Angie's deal to make sure he could do the work and within the time frame I needed. He seemed pleased that I was asking before hand. We talked and scheduled the appointment, and he let me know that he calls 30 minutes before hand to let you know he is coming. On the day of the appointment, he did indeed call before he arrived. Everything went well. He asked good questions and made sure I was okay with what he proposed to do to solve my problem(s) before actually carrying out the task. I felt like he was very thoughtful and careful to make sure I was happy. He made some very good suggestions and I was quite pleased with the work.

I hired David because we live out of town and have water damage due to flooding. He took care of everything we could not since we are out of state- cleanup- purchased and replace our carpet tiles, purchased and replaced our backup sump pump. He really saved us as he was timely, responsible and did a great job. He was very responsive, updated me on the progress and communicated well with our renters. I would definitely recommend and use again!

Overall it was good. He was professional and cleaned up well. I would recommend him.
