Knowledgeable and professional are simply too modest for Dave's amazing work- It is nice to have someone who can do the work but enjoys teaching and sharing with those of us who are really eager to learn about the basics. We will definitly call on Mr Newman for future repairs and advice. Dave was prompt and diligent in his services. Thank you Dave for giving us a bathroom we don't cringe and hang our head in despair!

Our closets look fantastic and are way more functional than any other closets we have ever had. A big thanks to Dave Newman, he did a fantastic job, they look great, work great, and are super sturdy. Dave responded immediately after I put in my request from Angie's List. This was a Sunday night! He came the next morning before my husband had to leave for work and took care of the problem. The only problem is the finish is now scratched off in a 2 inch line.

Intervention was very effective. We thought there was an electrical connection problem with the hood above our stove top, but it turned out that both bulbs had actually burned out. We had switched bulbs and thought we had determined it was not the bulbs. It turned out the good bulb burned out just after we switched it, leading us to believe the connection was bad. We didn't test with a bulb we were certain was good. David was very gracious.

The hinges on a heavy cabinet door have been an ongoing problem for several years. One recently became completely detached and the weight of the door was bending the hinge above it. Dave repaired & resecured both hinges and adjusted another door that had been improperly reattached by someone else. He had told me in advance that he had another appointment & he was a bit rushed so he didn't have time to work on the front door, which was sticking. However, he did make it better! I appreciated the fact that he managed to fit my small job into his schedule so quickly and am very pleased to finally have this problem solved. Will definitely be calling him again.

The shed was not the easiest thing to do, but we got it up and I'm very happy with it! I would call him again to help with any project.

I purchased an Angie's List deal and then needed several more hours for all the work to be completed. Dave responded very quickly to the Angie's List deal and set up a convenient time for the repairs. He was very thorough in his work and I was impressed with his solutions to some of my repairs that needed to be done. He was not looking for a quick fix but rather a fix that was durable and long lasting. I will keep his contact info for future reference and will not hesitate to hire him again.

Dave was prompt and efficient. He solved all of the problems with the plunger in the toilet, the door that sticks and the closet door that kept fall off the top rail. Unfortunately the bulb needed to be special ordered. Dave showed me how to change the bulb as it was in a difficult spot.

Realiable and good service very nice to work with he did make a mistake that could not be corrected but was very appologetic about it.

David Newman stayed for two hours and performed a variety of tasks, some of which I could never have done myself, and others I am no longer able to do. A ceiling fan that I thought I might be able to fix myself wound up being a fatally disabled fan that had to come down. He swapped out this fan for one from another room. Lamps were rewired or put together. Ceiling bulbs were replaced. After he left he bought a part to repair another of my lamps and I have a few things I can pick up myself before his next visit. I am working on the next "to do" list. This is someone you can trust. I was lucky to find him and thank Angie's List for bringing him to my attention.

I called Dave and received a call back within the hour, very pleased with that. Scheduled a visit for today (Friday 10/04/2013) between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Dave called me two days ago because he couldn't remember if or when we had an appointment (seemed a little confused). We re-confirmed today's appointment and I reminded him that since I was working, to call my wife to confirm. At 3:30 p.m., Dave finally calls my wife to say he couldn't make it until 5 p.m. today. She told him that this was not possible. He said to have me call him to reschedule, not even an apology for this missed appointment. I would not recommend nor will I call to reschedule.

David accomplished more projects in the time he was here than I would have thought was possible. He did a great job.

Dave was amazing. In two hours, he got through my entire list of small projects and did not leave until every screw was tightened and every squeak was oiled. Some of his time was spent fixing my past "handiwork" and he taught me what I had done wrong rather than making me feel like an idiot for doing such a poor job. He had the proper tools for each project and knew how to use them. I appreciated that he phoned well in advance when he knew an emergency would put him behind schedule. He was conscientious about cleaning up afterwards. I will definitely hire Dave again, as well as recommend him to neighbors and co-workers.

Dave is great. Prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. He explains what he thinks the best way to do something is and I find his reasoning sound. He is friendly and has a wide range of skills. Next time I need something done, I am going to call Dave.

Before purchasing the Big Deal I called to confirm that David would travel to my suburb. He said he would. I purchased the Big Deal and David called within a day to schedule the work. On the day of the appointment David was on-time and he completed all of the tasks within the two-hour time frame. His work was very neat. We asked him to give us an estimate to replace two light fixtures and scheduled a time for him to come back and replace the light fixtures. Again, his work was excellent. The Big Deal was a very good deal and Dave was able to complete the work within a week of purchasing the Big Deal.
