I had a problem with the fire alarm connection as it continued to beep, so the work I needed was very minimal. I received a call from the company right away which was great and I asked if there was a fee for them to come out. I was told no, that I could decide if I wanted the work done once the representative would arrive. Once he was here, I was told that there would be a $200 charge for him to assess what needed to be done. Since I knew what my problem was, I refused. A deal was worked out in the end and my fire alarm is now working (a 2 min. job). I would not recommend this company for minor jobs. I am sure that they are fine for a bigger project but I found them to be overpriced.

I literally had a phone call from Mr. Knapp within one minute of submitting my request on Home Advisor. Their representative arrived on time, provided an estimate, and their technician arrived the same day to perform the work. He had a few challenges due to my needing a pool table light fixture hung over a pool table due to my having a drop ceiling and a furnace vent right at the center point where the light fixture needed to be hung. Plus he needed to build a bridge over the pool table since one cannot stand on it without damaging it. The work was done professionally and quickly, and the finished result is beautiful. I would highly recommend Mr. Electric, and will be using them in the future for additional work.

They sent a guy to survey the problem and he seemed like he did a good job, but had to wait for boss to give me estimate on getting it fixed. Don't like the fact that you can't get an estimate without paying $200. Although $200 is waived if you hire you really can't afford to get estimates at that price. In addition, I felt that the cost was high but definitely needed to have the work done. There is just no way to verify costs in this area.

Mr. Electric responded to my HomeAdvisor search within seconds. I'm so glad that they did! Skilled and knowledgeable, and very professional in their workmanship. Three previous electricians prior to could not fix my electrical wiring issues with a three way switch and an open ground. Mr. Electrician quickly diagnosed the problem, proposed a solution and provided a written estimate, and repaired the electrical switches and outlets to working order. I would highly recommend them and will definitely be calling Mr. Electric from now on.
