MINASIAN RUG CARE SERVICE

I needed a new binding for one side of a sisal rug. Minasian found a near-perfect color match, so that it wasn't necessary to replace the binding on the other three sides, thus saving me a bundle of money. They also cleaned the rug and treated it with a stain guard. The whole project took almost 8 weeks---longer than I thought it should. But Minasian kept me informed through the process, and "comped" the materials charge (for the binding) for the delay. The pick-up and delivery occurred exactly at the appointed times.

Had a relatively small area rug and took in into their shop for cleaning. Was given a discount for having brought it in myself. Was cleaned and returned within the quoted timeframe.

They picked up and dropped off on time, were neat and professional, and my carpets look great! The one carpet (runner) in particular looked almost brand new.

They did a great job. Sent two men to pick them up. The cleaning was done very well and the rugs were delivered back - if I remember correctly - as promised. I would definitely use them again.

Went the extra mile. Because the rugs were very dirty, they washed them twice at no additional cost. Beautiful job and wonderful service. Visiting the store and talking about fine rugs was an enjoyable experience.

The staff seems very knowledgeable and made recommendations as to which rug was worth repairing. I have no idea what this sort of service should cost, but feel they did a good job. I'm happy with the results

They returned my call immediately, picked up the rugs the same day, delivered them back to my home the day they had promised, and set them up for me. The price was even lower than I had expected. Excellent.

Excellent. They came and picked up the rugs at our old house as arranged. They contacted me promptly to discuss the services needed and arrange for me to meet with them to look at the rugs and decide on a strategy. They cleaned the rugs well and without incident. When I visited to discuss repairs, we looked at the rugs, they described the damage caused by a cat that is no longer with us and what they would do to repair it, they taught me about my rugs and helped me to have a much better understanding of these beautiful and valuable assets. Then they cleaned the rugs and stored them for 6 months, when they called to find out what i wanted to do. I was ready to pick them up so we arranged a time and the rugs were ready when I arrived. They look beautiful - clean and well-repaired and well cared for in during storage. The cost was less than what I expected. A very good experience. We're delighted.

They did great. Their service, clean up and professionalism stood out to us. We felt that they took very good care of the rugs. They cleaned them very thoroughly without damaging them. It was reasonable.

I inherited this rug from a deceased elderly cousin. It had an added fringe on it. Minisian identified the type of rug and said it was worth repairing. They took off the added fringe and made a small fringe from the rug itself. They also professionally cleaned the rug making it much brighter. I thought it was very expensive, at the time, but I am glad I had it fixed by an expert.The rug is beautiful and I have enjoyed it very much.

My very old dog left me a not so nice surprise one day which I tried to scrub out using Woolite. Wrong thing to do on a wool rug. The stain came out but the spot was bleached in the process. Minasian not only clean the rug, but blended the bleach area into the rest of the rug making it almost unnoticeable. I am very happy with their results and will use them again when my Chinese rug needs cleaning.

Everything went smoothly. The person on the phone who took the order understood what was needed, and my needing the rug picked up at one place and delivered at another was no problem. They were flexible about the timing of the pickup and delivery, and they were prompt. When the cleaned rug was delivered, the staff took the time to place the rug exactly as I wanted it. Very professional and pleasant to deal with.

I can't recommend these guys enough. After calling them first to discuss a rug cleaning, I brought my rug to their showroom in Evanston. They came to my car, removed the rug, unrolled it on their showroom floor. This took real guts, as the rug was not in the greatest shape. They first educated me, explaining what the rug was, approximately how old it was, and then they evaluated the condition (it was falling apart). They then discussed with me the cost of cleaning and repairs. They explained that the cleaning this rug needed may destroy it - they were definitely not trying to oversell me on something I didn't need. They did not charge for the evaluation or the appraisal. It turned out the rug was not worth it; it would cost more than its value to clean and fix. They were very good natured about the whole thing and even folded and rolled the rug before they gave it back to me. I've now started a rug fund so I can buy one of their lovely hand-knotted rugs one day....

They arrived when they promised and returned the rugs when promised. The rugs were very clean and their delivery crew was very professional and helpful,. including dealing with a piano on one of the rugs. Have used them before and would do so again.

I have called twice in the last 36 hours to get an estimate to clean 6 rugs - spoke to the same man both times (who didn't remember me the second time) - gave them my full name and phone number and was told that the person who could give me the information was with a customer. You guessed it - still haven't gotten a call back. I will not be calling again.N

They were very helpful and due to the condition of the rug, suggested alternative cheaper method of repair instead of doing more extensive and more expensive repair on a rug that was not worth it.

The estimate provided was specific and detailed, and the bill was exactly as quoted. Every person I dealt with over the phone was professional and friendly. The personnel who picked up and delivered the rugs were very professional, were on time and helpful in moving heavy items out of the way. I am very happy with the cleaning and repair work and will absolutely use them again.

Wonderful, they arrived on time and called, they even waited for me to get home because I was stuck in traffic on the Ike. They told me the repairs would take about 2 weeks and they were done within that time frame.

The rug did stink from dog accidents and they cleaned it perfectly. I am using them again.

I had been looking for a specialist like this for along time. I had gotten quotes to clean my wall to wall carpets and each time I asked, I was told that the carpet cleaning company could also steam clean my Karastan area rugs. I am orginally from the South and lived very close to the Karastan factory and was taught that you have these rugs cleaned the right way because of the fringe and quality of the rugs. In the South, we always sent them to the factory/dealer to be cleaned and I had not had any luck in finding someone in this area. I was so happy to find Minasian. I called to explain that I had knock off orientals, and the owner asked if they were Karastan. They sent their crew to pick up the rugs-9x12,3x13,3x5,2x4. They were professional, explained how they cleaned them and took them all away. When they were returned, the crew put them all down and even fussed to make sure all the fringe was laying correctly and asked several times if I was happy with the placement of the rugs. Minasian has a terrific crew that I felt comfortable having in my home and my rugs look fabulous--just couldn't have done a better job!!! All I can say is if you have nice area rugs, get them cleaned the proper way! And Minasian does that-
