Jeremy came out to look at the work and give an estimate. He quickly responded to my follow-up questions. The work was scheduled and began on-time. The vinyl tiles were quickly and enthusiastically removed in half a day's work. All debris was cleaned up and taken away. Painting the kitchen cabinets took a week; the work included removing all the drawers and doors, sanding them down, refilling holes from previous handles, painting them, as well as sanding and painting the "box" in the kitchen. Lazaro did a detailed job, and it all looks great. I definitely appreciated how he covered my kitchen doors with plastic (with zippers!) so that the sanding dust would not escape into other parts of the house. Lazaro uncovered my kitchen sink and stove and tidily put his supplies to one side every night so that I could still use my kitchen, which was a plus.

We couldn't be happier with the work provided by Andrew's crew. They showed up with matching Kerr's Home Services t-shirts, which seems insignificant, but it was only just the first sign of their top-notch professionalism. They did the work, they worked quickly, they were kind and warm and great communicators--NO SMALL FEAT in a world when lots of contractors and handymen have been blowing us off... We couldn't be more pleased with the service and highly recommend them to anyone looking for renovation/handyman/woman work.

Everything went very well. Kerr handyman was timely, friendly and knew what he was doing. He was also very willing to take a look at other possible projects and we would definitely call Kerr again.

I'm pleased to be able to write this follow up. Initially, they lost track of me, which I had interpreted as not wanting to a job I had reduced. However, after the review, Andrew Kerr called and apologized. He didn't try to persuade me to use him - he just sincerely apologized for my experience and he took the blame for not following up. Two days later, I decided to give them another try. I worked with Matt. One word - outstanding. He gave me some good advice on a couple of things and did half a day's work with odds and ends. After a discussion with Matt, I have decided to install a new back door to my house, and I can't wait to have him back to install it. I'm sure I'll find plenty of other small jobs along the way as well.I'm very pleased with the service, and I'm pleased with Angie's List for providing a feedback area and for following up with their listed providers. I would recommend highly.

Andrew Kerr's staff is excellent. We've had his company stain our backyard fence. Now we had him power wash our brick wall leading down the driveway. We liked the work SO much we had his guys come back to do the same for our brick patio. Excellent work.

I thought that the price was very fair. They were on time and kept still at things what they had estimated on cost. They did quality work. I couldn’t knowledgeably do things and they came in and took it over.

After Andrew Kerr came over for an initial consultation and to collect information for an estimate, he sent over crew (Matt) to measure the space. Both visits went smoothly. Andrew and Matt are very pleasant and polite. Two weeks after measuring, they returned to install the countertops (exactly as expected). They efficiently installed the countertops, which fit perfectly in my very old (built 1888) and crooked kitchen. I really enjoy the character and feel of this handcrafted product.

KERR HOME SERVICES I thought Kerr Home Services, was very good, was prompt, came when he said he would, and gave me a fair estimate. We just haven't decided if we are going to do anything yet. I thought they were honest and I have no problem with them at all.

I was looking for a highly-rated local company to do the work and turned to Angie's List. Jeremy from Kerr was prompt in coming for the initial meeting to quote the work. He was thorough in thinking through the job and the number of hours which would need to be performed for the estimate. I had created a spreadsheet with the tasks listed out which helped. Kerr was prompt in returning an estimate which was the least expensive and most comprehensive quote we received. It took a few months for us do all of the shopping to get all of the materials. Kerr helped point us to some different kitchen and bath supply stores and answered questions along the way. As we got close to getting all of the materials, Kerr slotted us into their schedule. The bathrooms took just over a week to complete. There were a few minor issues here and there which Kerr promptly fixed. We had Kerr do a few things which were not on the original price quote. Jeremy was up-front with any extra costs before doing the work, and we verbally agreed as needed to get them done. Pepe and Fili did most of the work and did an outstanding job! They were always prompt, courteous, and did a good job prepping and cleaning every day. While we were hoping to get both the bath and kitchen done at the same time, the granite subcontractor took a bit longer to manufacture the kitchen counter. The kitchen took a few days to complete and it looks great as well! Overall, we are very happy with the experience and will definitely use Kerr Home Services again!

Overall, working with Kerr was a good experience. They were punctual and responsive and provided a fairly accurate estimate of the cost, though it turned out to be slightly lower than the actual bill. When is it not? The work was done well, and 8 months later, the paint job still looks great.. The painters left some streaks on the top of the wall when they were done, but when we told Andrew about this, he sent them back right away to clean up the streaks. This is a very professional handyman service. It's nice to know that they can do not only the basic fix-it and painting, but also electrical work.

We contacted Kerr Home Services based on reviews on Angie's List. Andrew responded right away and we were scheduled within a few days for an estimate. The estimate was fair and about what we expected to pay for the service. They began work within a few weeks. Because this was an insurance job, we weren't paying them directly. We had many issues getting checks issued by our bank, but they continued working and never threatened to stop working while we waited on the bank. The work was excellent and we were very impressed. We found Jeremy to be very easy to work and communicate with. We highly recommend them for any work and would use them again on any future projects.

Kerr Home Services did a great job helping me choose new windows for my living room/dining room area and replacing them in the winter this year. Then, in the midst of that epic blizzard in February, they repainted the two rooms. Seriously, they came to work on the day the entire city was shut down, but couldn't get down my street due to other cars being stranded. The work is impeccable, holding up very nicely, new windows are a joy. Even more exciting, their carpenter Jeremy built us a really cool media unit that affixed to my wall, saved space, and holds all of our media stuff with ease. We get lots of compliments on the unit and get to tell people it's an original to us!

The house looks great, they did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Totally reliable and easy to work with. They actually made one small error in the accent color, but it was small and I decided not to mention it since the work was already done. However, 24 hours later, they had fixed the error on their own. No fuss, no difficulty, just an ethic of double-checking their work and making sure it is right with no hassle to the homeowner. And their price was lower than other estimates I got!

Andy's electrician did a great job to run electrical and install two ceiling fans in hard-to-access bedroom ceilings where there was no attic access. A bunch of holes had to be made in the walls, but Andy's painter came by the next week to patch them up. Both fans work great and I'm happy with the drywall repair.

We are trying to sell our place and so needed a serious leak problem fixed before we could put it on the market. Andy was extremely responsive, altering his schedule to provide an estimate and then ensuring that the work was scheduled quickly and finished promptly. We weren't entirely certain what he'd find when he opened a portion of one wall and so his estimate was necessarily iffy. When it was finally done, it became apparent that the entire wall had to be taken down and rebuilt. Old, wet drywall had to be removed, new concrete backer board put in and, hardest of all, the tile matched so that no one would see what we had done. (Nothing looks worse than a tiled shower/bath with one wall of tile not matching the others.) They were able to match the tile almost perfectly. I was a little disappointed that a loose shower head wasn't secured automatically; it would seem simple common sense to me to secure it before installing a new backer board over it. It was shaky, and not a complicated thing to secure it tightly. Still, it wasn't done at first. To his credit, after I asked Andy to have it fixed, it was done the next day. The work took a little longer than I had hoped, but then the work turned out to involve more than we expected, so I have no criticism at all on that score. They cleaned up after themselves (though the last day wasn't as thorough as the first few days). The finished work is beautiful and it's almost impossible to tell that anything was done. We are very pleased and when we move to the new place, I imagine we'll be calling Kerr again for a number of projects.

I contacted Andrew about having someone work on a few old windows, and said I might have some other miscellaneous projects too once I had someone handy around. He sent Matt out within two days, and was able to adjust schedules at the last minute so that Matt could spend the whole day on projects around my house. The windows turned out to be a bigger project than originally anticipated, so I really appreciated the fact that Matt could stay the full day, rather than having to come back another time. They were responsive, flexible, skilled, tidy and efficient. Matt was a great problem solver, and was willing to entertain my curiosity about some things he was doing without seeming rushed. or annoyed He ended up spending a LONG day at my house (after 5 on a Friday!) so he could help me get everything checked off my list. Working with them was very straight-forward, and Matt was willing to do whatever odd job stuff I needed done. Kerr Home Services seems like a great resource for smaller, need-to-get-it-done-but-I-can't-do-it-myself projects, and I am sure they are great for larger projects as well.

I was very satisfied with Kerr Home Services. They sent someone the next day after I called. The handyman who came (Jeremy) was very skilled and courteous. I called them for plumbing services but Jeremy helped with other things as well, such as replacing the fan remote control, removing a broken window and even taking the window to a shop where it could be fixed quickly. I even got a discount at that shop because Jeremy is a valued customer there! Since the services are charged by the hour ($50/hour), the overall price was very reasonable. I will definitely use their services again!

Sent email to Andrew Kerr to request estimate. Response received within 36 hours. There was a minor lapse in communication during the estimate scheduling, but no serious issues. Jeremy came to my home to give the estimate. He was professional and communicated easily. I called Andrew to schedule the work. Response received within 24 hours. At my request, Jeremy was scheduled to come to my home the next week to make the needed repairs. Jeremy arrived on time, disassembled the items needing repair, left to purchase supplies needed to complete the repairs, and then returned to make the repairs. All work was completed to my satisfaction. Jeremy was skilled and efficient such that the repairs did not take as long as estimated. He left no mess anywhere in the house. Bill sent by mail was as expected.

Start to finish, very good. They had to wait for the good weather, but were prompt with two coats. They actually had to return to finish the fence after my wife decided another section she'd declined at first to restain, was in need. They blended everything perfectly.

They did attic stairs and couple of minor fix up. They did one other work for me last year and did a good job. That is the reason I called them back and I am going to call them again for some project.

They were great and got back to us pretty quickly within a couple days. The person who did the estimate was really nice and easy to work with. He also ended up doing the handyman work. He seemed to know what he was doing and was professional.

Arrived on time with a two man crew and Andrew Kerr. Assessed material needs, purchased items and got to work. Crew was very efficient and neat and clean. Pleasant and completely professional. Worked a full day and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was finished. Very pleased with the process and the outcome
