No work was done because after our initial conversation the representative never called back.

The two genlemen that did the work in my bathroom were excellent. The painter did the drywall repair that I asked for and fixed a few minor drywall holes that I never mentioned. The painting was amazing and done quickly. The handyman that did the installation of everything was great as well. He picked everything up at Home Depot, installed and cleaned up after himself. Home Depot damaged the vanity so they had to order a replacement part. Yuri was going to have to come back to install that anyway so he said he'd fix my baseboards at that time because they had some water damage and needed to be painted white (he made the suggestion, I thought it was a good idea). I had a great experience with both guys. Andy is a little slow to respond to emails and questions and my original estimate was much lower than what the cost ended up being. Part of it couldn't be helped since Yuri had to come back to finish the project (no fault of anyone's Home Depot screwed up). I would certainly use them again for future projects.

When plumber came to fix the toilet, he determined that that shut-off valve was not working. To repair the valve, the water would need to be shut off. As I live in a condo building, I would need to give my neighbors in my line advance notice. This required a return trip, which he was very gracious about. Scheduling, both times, was very efficient. The work was done quickly and expertly.

Excellent experience. Called Andrew and had the job completed within 2 weeks. Jeremy came to estimate the job promptly, Tom came to do the carpentry, which was excellent, and the next day a painter finished it off. All positive, prompt, good communication and great service. Tom is a highly skilled carpenter. The bill came pretty close to estimate, but was nice to see a bit lower in the end. Will recommend Kerr Home Services and use them again.

Tom showed up promptly and was excellent in the repair. He was professional and courteous. No complaints on the repair job.

Our house is 140 years old with plaster walls and ceilings. Water leaked into the living room ceiling and caused significant damage. Andrew and his team came out and identified the problem as a misaligned gutter, fixed the problem, repaired the living room ceiling, installed a ceiling fan. We were pleased that they were able to figure out the source of the leak, which was not obvious, and do a great job repairing the ceiling and integrating the repair with the undamaged plasterwork. We have used Andrew in the past and have always been happy with his work. Because he is busy, it sometime is hard to schedule him, but it is worth the wait.

As with most renovation projects in vintage building there are unexpected turns and pivots. The first one on this job was when the storm damaged oak flooring was removed. It had been installed directly on a concrete floor, with the sleepers recessed in the concrete. So chopping out those old timbers was the first change of plan as they were hardened from age and difficult to remove. Some of the concrete needed to be replaced in areas - turn #2. the new floor was installed in the customary way today. A plastic vapor barrier was laid down, new sleepers of engineered wood were placed on top of the concrete. The new flooring was brought in and left to acclimatize. After the oak flooring was down the new trim was installed, holes filled, painted, etc. The vinyl floor in the kitchen went pretty much the same way except for different materials. Last minutes details included having to cut down all the doors as the new floor is higher. The new floor feels and looks great. It will be drier and warmer to walk on with the vapor barrier and air cushion. The workers remembered to re-attach the phone jacks, and all the other things that had to be moved out of the way.

Unfortunately we never had the work done! Called to make an appointment waited a week and when they were supposed to arrive they called and cancelled! It was Friday and they wanted to try and make an appointment for the following week I really felt this was a red flag and couldn't take the chance they would cancel again! I will never use them!

He was a terrific guy and did a very good job. He was an excellent representative of Kerr Home Services. I plan on using them again in the future.

With the kitchen cabinets they were able to do some replacing of the tier after finding us a cost effective set of drawers. They were super creative and helpful. Everything they did was beautiful, and they very professional. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

This is my second time using Kerr home Services, and like the first time, I was completely satisfied with all aspects of the experience.... the worker arrived on time, was quick, courteous, skilled, polite, meticulous, cleaned up afterwards, and the price is most reasonable. I give my highest recommendation, will definitely use this service provider again as the need arises!

They were very friendly, responsive and professional. They are good people to work with and they will work with you. There were a couple of rough spots and they sent people back out to fix it, even after they had been paid.

It went well, which is why I keep on using them for different things. There are no special dos or don'ts just tell them your problem and then listen to their suggestions. If it is a new or unusual issue don't be afraid to talk it out with them. They will do research and are good listeners.

Matt came over and did several small jobs as listed: removed 2 AC units from the windows, installed a new toiled flush, removed a toiled seat lid which was stuck because the screws were rusty and installed a storm door stopper. He was punctual, professional and knowledgeable. The work went smoothly.

Kerr just installed two more Marvin windows for me and are doing remodel of a home office. In the past, they have painted my exterior and interior, and built a wall-mounted media unit. For the home office, Jeremy created a wall-mounted easel that is flush to the wall when not in use. They also provide all my handyman services. Matt does a great job solving the odd little problems that arise in my very old house. I don't even bother to bid other contractors for work I know Kerr can do. Why bother shopping around when I know Kerr will always be timely, fairly priced, high-quality, and easy to communicate with.

They have been responsive, professional and very helpful. The installations seemed to take a bit longer than I expected but it may be because they were a bit more complicated than we thought. I will try them again; hopefully they will be more efficient next time.

Andrew took notice of the neglect and poor work done by the rehabber who sold us our condo and described in detail how he could match the present wallboard in a clean line to new baseboards. He suggested the moulding and baseboard that would best fit in our 100-yr old building apt. We asked him to paint the walls, and new woodwork, to smooth the cracked window sill paint for a new coat, to install the baseboards for a tight meet at the floor in spite of the thick carpet which made it more difficult. We asked for a ceiling fan/light install, which we changed later to a light only. Andrew adjusts easily and makes you feel at ease with changes. Andrew mixed a paint for contrast to the walls and when it failed to make the difference in tone, he made up a new batch and it was perfect. He is the interpreter/grantor of wishes and Raul was his primary (excellent) worker on this job with the aid of Cosme. They transformed the room. It has changed from the one we kept the door closed on to a most pleasing room with an open-door policy. Kerr Home Services inspires our complete confidence and we feel fortunate to have had their service.

Some things went well and others didn't. The caulking job did not fix the leak in the shower stall. The repairs to the heating register and the fence went well. The broken window was replaced, but the broken glass was left on the floor. When I called recently to ask about a warranty on the caulking job, I was told that there is no warranty and that the shower stall itself probably needs to be replaced.

This is the latest of many jobs we've had Andrew and his crew do. We've got an old house that was not well taken-care of by the prior owners, and Kerr has done almost all of the work during the 2.5 yrs we've lived here, from ripping out and totally redoing a kitchen and bathroom to miscellaneous handyman jobs, like adding a new outlet and fixing broken windows. They're responsive, great communicators, and they do very nice work. I know Andrew works on some very fancy houses?ours is not in that category, but he's got the right attitude about the place: embrace its charms/funkiness, get rid of the dangerous and hideous-looking things, and do new work that is clean and fits in with the rest of the house. Andrew has delegated a lot of the work on our place to Jeremy, who's great: also very thorough, professional, and a good communicator. We've had other contractors give us bids on a few of the jobs and they're sometimes a little cheaper, but not always, and never substantially so. Now we're at the point where we just go with Kerr?we know we'll be happy with the results.

Could not have asked for a better experience. It was obvious that customer service is important to Kerr. Jeremy had a good idea of what needed to be done and the estimates were pretty close (within $100-$200). The house is old and quirky so estimating wouldn't be exact. Yuri (the person who did the work) was very professional and completed tasks in a timely manner. The quality of his work was exceptional with an attention to detail and completeness. Communicating with Andrew, Jeremy and Yuri was clear and there were no surprises. Any unexpected issues regarding scheduling and the work were brought up immediately. Also Yuri promptly addressed any issues after the work was done.

The laundry project was pretty uneventful, although there were a few surprises (the final measurements including the hose in back meant we had to make a hole in the back wall, which you can't see). The bathroom and master bedroom closet projects went very smoothly. The most major project (the nursery re-do) took quite awhile to complete, but there were not many issues. This was the only one where we weren't totally satisfied. There were a few mismeasurements, which meant that the trim at the top doesn't line up the way I think it should, and the built-ins don't go all the way to the window, although it looks fine that way. We also wished they had advised us on the design of the window seat a bit better since, there is a ledge that sticks out and isn't comfortable to rest against. For all the projects Andrew was good about listening to what we wanted to do. We were very clear already when we met with him about what we wanted though. We picked our own sink, for example. He was good about recommending local products (he uses Evanston Lumber, I believe) for the closet doors and built ins. He even had someone pick up the slatwall piece we wanted for our closet from the Menards out in Niles, which was really nice. I haven't used Kerr for much in terms of design--we always knew pretty much what we were looking for already so I can't comment on the design aspects of projects like this.

As always Kerr was responsive and prompt. crew was very professional and always on time. Neat and cleaned up each night. A very good experience and job well done.

We are extremely satisfied with the work of Kerr Home Services! Raul did a fantastic job making our ceiling look brand-new again. Jeremy's initial analysis of the job and estimate were spot-on. Raul was on time, finished the job as expected and we were charged exactly what we were quoted. Clean up after the job was also excellent. Family members have had similar positive experiences with Jeremy and Kerr Home Services. Work has included painting, fixing doors, hanging fixtures. Jeremy will be the first person I call when something needs to be fixed in our home. He is extremely knowledgeable and honest in his estimations.

It went well. Was a reference and lived here in town. Scheduling was mildly challenging, but worked out better than most. Work was done with no issues.
