He was very professional and responsive to my request for a certain type of molly. He went to the store to get them. He consulted me on the location I desired then marked the wall and checked with me again before drilling. We are very satisfied.

Everything went well. Very professional and efficient. Cost was very fair.

Only negative in the entire experience was that Yuri showed up late. I received a call about 15 minutes after he was supposed to arrive saying he had overslept and would be there in 30 minutes. Fortunately I was planning on working from home that day so it wasn't a problem. Once he arrived he was great. Quality of the work was excellent and he made a couple of suggestions to things that I had asked for that were nice improvements (I almost had towel rings hung at different heights until he pointed it out). He was friendly, efficient and did great work. Will definitely use again.

The work completed was done professionally and thoroughly. Yuri arrived on-time (a little early in fact) and he assessed the project and retrieved proper tools and equipment from his truck to complete the job. In addition to the microwave install, the cabinet that was over the range above the hood had to be adjusted and reattached to the wall to incorporate a new outlet for the microwave hood. Yuri was able to complete all the work in a few hours and the space he worked in was cleaned up before he left. I also should highlight that I called Kerr Home Services the week prior and explained the work I needed., they were prepared to have someone come out to do the work that week. I found this incredibly helpful that they were prepared to complete the work so quickly if needed. Also Mr. Kerr promptly returned my phone call and provided a bill after the service was completed.

They were efficient and they got everything done in the time they said they would do it. I would rate them the highest rating because they were very good. The person who came was respectful and gave us tips for the future. He helps us navigate problems beyond what we beyond what we hired him to do and made it easy. He was very pleasant and was not condescending and he could not have been more pleasant and respectful.

They were great, they were very professional, very good and I was very happy with them. I would use them again.

It went very well. Outstanding service. I was very impressed. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

All went perfectly and I'm confident that the job was done correctly this time (the last person that did the drywall cut some corners I think). I can't remember his name, but he was prompt, professional, and worked quickly without jeopardizing quality. I've used Kerr in the past for other small jobs and I'll continue to use them in the future. It's great to know that no job is too small and I would certainly consider if I ever have a "big" job.

Over-promised, under-delivered ? RUN while you can! We selected Kerr Home Services to completely renovate our master bathroom because of a personal recommendation. We took two months after completion of the project to reflect on this review and to make it as un-emotional and fair as possible. Although the renovation started off OK, the issues started mounting quickly. Here are just a few that we encountered: Plumbing: ? Plumbing was not installed properly causing leaky connections ? Plumber installed floating toilet even though he knew that the tile job behind it was not right. What?s worse, he simply tried to cover up the defect with some caulking. ? When we encountered a snag with the toilet installation we had to come up with a solution versus them providing reasonable options for us to consider Flooring: ? Damaged our in-ground heating system twice and didn't test it prior to declaring it ?fixed?. We had to get the heating system company come out to truly fix the issues. ? Floor tile was not level ? Used grout instead of caulk at the base of the shower pan ? Damaged carpet and did not fix it although they claim to be a full-service company. I find it hard to believe that they could not find anyone to make the 2? of carpet they had to pull up look professional again. ? Poor communication on what bathroom transitions options we had (i.e. carpet-to-tile) until it was too late for us to get what we really wanted. Timing & Pricing: ? It took Kerr three (3) months to complete our master bathroom which is only 14? x 6?. ? Kerr is significantly overpriced for what they deliver. I had a different company do exactly the same work, on our similar-sized guest bathroom, using the exact same materials in our guest bath in 2 weeks and we?re highly satisfied. Plus, we only paid 1/3 of the cost we paid for Kerr. We did find one mistake with the installation of the in-ground heating system which that company took care of within 24 hours ? Kerr?s definition of when a project is ?complete? seems to be when they painted the bathroom versus mine which is when I cut the last check and I don?t have contractors coming into my house anymore. Attention to detail: ? Paint job was horrible (smudges, paint streaks, bumps and divots) ? Kerr agreed to using an electrician I was comfortable with versus the one they usually use but they then tried to blame him for damage that occurred during days when he was not even working on the project. ? Not very clean (i.e. smudges all over master bedroom, carpet stains, etc.). They did touch up the walls but, again, only with a grudge and not until I brought it to their attention. In summary, Kerr Home Services does not properly audit their own work, offers insufficient project management, and only reluctantly takes responsibility for their mistakes. Therefore Kerr Home Services was not worth the money we spent. I would not be surprised if additional issues were to come up in the next few months that?s how little confidence I have in their ability. For suffering through this nightmare renovation, we got a 0.03% discount on the total bill. Do yourself a favor and don?t deal with Kerr Home Services ? there are simply too many better options.

It went well. The project took much longer than expected due to some unexpected issues that we found, but the contractors were reliable and professional overall.

Although Kerr's is in Evanston, he came to Hyde Park on the south side of Chicago because I said I was responding to the excellent reviews I'd read and hoped he'd consent to travel here. The owner came after a short wait; he arrived on time to look at the bedroom which appeared like ruins and quickly assessed the work to be done. After a few days a bid arrived by email. He proposed replacing walls in part with wallboard and plastering as needed. He chose good baseboard and door framing, mixed paint for colors we wanted, replaced one for the woodwork and shared the replacement cost 50/50. He had 2 young men working with skill and efficiency, very responsive to our requests. They came from another country, but one spoke English very well and interpreted easily for the other. It felt like we could speak directly to either when both were present. They cleaned up each day and it never seemed like we were in each other's way though we have a small apt and narrow hallways. As promised, they protected the carpeting, pulling it up to put baseboards in to meet the floor and returned it perfectly to its previous placement. All work was done in the time promised.

I contacted Kerr Home Services by email, and Andrew gave a prompt response with some questions about the job. I answered the questions and Andrew was able to tell me he was the wrong person for the job, but he recommended someone who might be able to help. I am very impressed by the responsiveness and honesty I received from Andrew.

I have used them many many times and they are outstanding. I have reccommended them in the past and i reccommend them now.

Andrew was punctual and professional. He provided a detailed and clear estimate via email and was very friendly. Ultimately, I chose another local contractor with similar experience and reputation but who had earlier availability at a lower price. Nonetheless, I will definitely consider using Kerr Home Services for other jobs in the future. This is the kind of responsive and professional service for which I was looking.

The best part about Kerr was their responsiveness and reliability. The value was excellent and the quality of workmanship was very good. The "punch list" was quite short and all minor in nature. This was a challenging job as it required selective demolition and replacement of rotted and otherwise deteriorated structure and finishes. We felt they did a great job of not removing more than necessary and helping us keep the costs in check.

First off I think they contract out the two jobs that we had done. I think Andrew comes out and gives estimates, but he has other companies actually do the work in our case. So lesson learned, if you need specific things then look that up, not a general handyman. The first job with the garage went well we thought. The work was completed and looked good, they came out and finished on time and cleaned up. However less than a year after the original work we had the exact same problem occur. The garage rail completely ripped out of the wall again. I immediately called Andrew on his cell phone and explained the situation to him. I even sent him a picture on his cell phone. He suggested I call a garage door specialist as thats what he would have to do anyways. I did that and they came out and took care of the problem. The garage door specialist indicated that the piece of wood was not secured adequately to the wall and definitely did a much more involved and secure job. I subsequently sent the pictures to Andrew as well as left him a message to tell him what happened and how much it cost me. I subsequently left a couple of follow up messages after that. Never heard anything back from him ever again. Not even a follow up phone call or message. The second job occurred in between the above garage door issue. We wanted a new mailbox build out of brick with an associated light on top. We got an estimate which we agreed with and then wanted to schedule the work. It ultimately took about 12 weeks to get the work done, and it was after multiple follow up phone calls to get it done.

In the end, I was not very happy. I used them before and I had a much better experience but this time, I felt like I was charged a lot more money than I thought I'd be charged. If you use them, it's important that you get things in writing in terms of their cost 'cause I didn't do that and it ended up being a lot more than I thought it was gonna cost.

I have quite a bit of remodeling experience myself, and with that in mind I can say that the entire job went great. On time, on budget, great suggestions, attention to detail. All of their employees were professional, courteous, and skilled. I had some specific unique design ideas that Kerr not only accommodated, but also had suggestions that made the final product even better. On a job like this, it is easy for the remodeler to buy the cheapest materials and fasteners. Kerr used appropriate materials and fasteners throughout the job. I will be using them to remodel my front porch in the Spring.

It went well. We met to discuss the project and the next time they came the project was done in one day to my specifications.

I called and he came in a timely manner to give me an estimate. He gave me a ball park figure and said he would send a written estimate. The written estimate was less and I hired him to do the job. He did an excellent job from start to finish. He was on time, did the work over two days, and cleaned up after himself. I would definitely use Kerr Handyman services again.

I received a call back within a reasonable time frame. Yuri was sent and he was punctual, dressed in clean clothes that Identified his company. He worked quickly with little direction. He was prepared with appropriate tools. He accomplished more in the time he spent here that we were truly amazed! He is scheduled to return.

The job was primarily completed in one 8-hour day by Raul. The work was all completed while we were at work (a friend was home to let the gentleman in and to be present while the work was completed). The house was left clean and the work was beautiful after day 1. We had originally planned to touch up painting ourselves, and could have done so; everything was left ready (he didn't paint on day 1 because he needed to wait while the plaster dried). We ended up asking him to come back and take care of the painting as well. This was finished in about 2 hours and was also beautifully finished. We were very pleased.
