Everything went just fine with Don Woods. There prices were very reasonable. The crew was very friendly and professional. After they were finished they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend this company to anyone.

The work went very well. They get in and out in no time. They got the whole project done in two days. There was also some water damage which they repaired and put prime and painted it. I think the quality of their work is good. They are efficient and attractively priced.

Project went better than expected. A tremendous amount of work effort was completed in five work days! Crew was very efficient. Results were outstanding --- the basement is truly transformed.

Working with Don was wonderful. He is a true gentleman, old school style. He is professional and knows his business inside and out. He advised me on paint colors and I always ended up preferring what he recommended over my own initial ideas. He is prompt, pleasant, and soft-spoken-- but still assertive, businesslike, and knowledgeable. His team, who do the actual painting, are courteous and prompt. Their attention to detail is amazing and everyone who sees our paint job marvels at the corners and trim work as well as the overall quality of the job. Don himself is a grandfather and great-grandfather many times over and I always feel very comfortable with him and his team around my family. On the job site you will never hear Don's team swearing or doing/saying anything rough/vulgar/etc. None of his workers smoke anywhere near the job site and they eat in their van even though I invited them to eat inside our home when it was chilly. They also do such an amazing clean-up job, it's like you never had any workers there. I have an old house that requires lots of various kinds of maintenance work, and Don's guys are the most thorough and professional of anyone I have ever hired and they do the finest clean-up job of anyone, too. In terms of price, Don always comes in on the high side, but the quality is worth it.

What?s unique about them is they get everything done in a very timely manner. They clean up well and are very courteous. I really can?t say enough nice things. He?s our go to guy and we?ve used them for 25 years!

It was the end of the season and we wanted the porch floor and stairs repainted before listing our house in late winter/early spring. They squeezed us in, but the paint on the porch floor didn't last more than a few weeks before it was peeling off and by now, it looks as bad as before they did the painting. I called to ask them to come by and see the problem but they never came or at least never contacted me if they did.

A wonderful experience!! Don Woods was able to transform our tired looking brick bungalow into a neighborhood gem. Previous owners had painted anything and everything on our house completely white. In addition, there were at least 10 broken or cracked storm windows throughout the house, the front fascia board was rotten and completely scaled and the bead board on the back of our house looked well past its useful life. I received several quotes and they were thousands of dollars more for just simply powerwashing and painting the existing house as is. What drew me to Don, besides his REASONABLE price, was the pride he takes in his work. You could immediately tell Don was interested in the details and he was not afraid to take on various projects. His ultimate goal was the same as mine - to make the exterior of our house look as much like it was back in 1924. Don is efficient. He has several crews working for him and every person knows from the start was his expected task is. Don visits the job site at least 3 times a day to supervise what work is being done and what needs to be done before the end of the day. Don and his crew was a pleasure to work with. As for as North Shore companies they are such a bargain and the quality of work is amazing. You really are getting an amazing deal with this top notch, professional family business - thank you!

They were fabulous. I will probably use him again in probably February. I was really happy with the results. The price was reasonable in my opinion. The original quote was $1800 but ended up being $4800 because they had to put drywall up since the wallpaper glue would not come off. I looks really nice.

We have used Woods Decorating multiple times in the past. They are extremely professional painters who painted our entire interior as well as the wood trim on the outside of our house, and were able to get it done in very little time, because Don always sends 3-4 men to complete jobs. He also has a talented carpenter on his staff whose talents are endless--he previously hung drywall in our basement, replaced and/or fixed rotted wood on our front porch, tiled our mudroom, did all the floor boards in our remodeled basement, etc. For this particular job, Don was extremely responsive when I first called, stopping by the night I called to see the work that needed to be done and to give us an estimate. He was able to start work immediately, and sent several men over to do the work. His workers always arrive punctually at 8 and work straight through until 4 p.m. The work steadily, and have great attention to detail. They take care of things we would never even think about, such as painting a support column in our basement or putting in a door stop to keep a basement door from slamming into the duct overhead. They are also flexible and handle the unexpected tasks that arise during the course of a job. They have a wide array of expertise in painting, plastering and carpentry work, and I would recommend them for any of these jobs, without hesitation.
