I worked with Mike to review and select window treatment options shortly after I replaced several large windows in my condo. Mike brought several options and we selected Hunter Douglas duette cellular shades that would help with room darkening and privacy. He was happy to coordinate with me and come over for measurements the same day the new windows were being installed. (Mike was flexible with his time that day when window installation took longer than expected.). He got measurements and took the extra step of putting up temporary shades so that the window installers didn't have to reinstall the old blinds. My new shade order arrived quickly and Mike installed in about an hour. I love the new shades, and Mike was great. Will work with him in the future.

Mike took care of all of the details and was very good, very professional. He came over with swatch books, took measurements and then mailed over swatches of our top three choices. Once we chose our favorite, we set up an appointment, which they did while we were at work. They left no mess and the shades look beautiful, they're a really nice update to our condo. At no time did he put pressure on us, his sales approach is friendly and professional.

Mike was very easy to work with and provided a lot of detail and options. Sized out our large windows and did install etc. Will use again when need more treatments in the house!

OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE! I'm an interior designer, and have a high-end client who wanted a variety of shutters installed in some unusually-shaped windows. Since I wasn't familiar with any shutter companies in Chicago, I turned to Angie's List. I'm glad I called Shutterworks after reading the good reviews on them! I can't speak highly-enough about Mike Iverson, the owner. He immediately set up a meeting to measure the windows, and was very creative when it came to suggesting what types of shutters to install (we ended making one pair of them motorized). He was able to perfectly match the stain and paint color of the shutters to my client's dark wood floors and painted moldings. He didn't even blink when my client required him to come back again on short notice to measure a window she'd forgotten about. He was extremely punctual, professional and easy to work with, and his prices were very good. He immediately emailed me quotes within hours of measuring. My client wanted the shutters in place asap, so Mike gave us the option of expedited shipping - this cut the time from placing the order to installation by almost 2/3rds!! As soon as the shutters were ready, he came and installed everything himself. At the same time, he brought numerous books of grasscloth shade samples because my client decided she wanted to put high-quality grass cloth shades in several windows. He had many beautiful options, and we easily found exactly the ones we were looking for. To sum it up, you won't go wrong by choosing Mike and Shutterworks for any of your window-covering needs. He aims to please, and is the ultimate professional at a terrific price.

We've had a number of service providers out to our house to do many different things -- plumbers, electricians, etc. -- but there's no question that Mike is one of the best we've had, period. His attention to detail is fantastic. Always on time, Mike has been to our western suburbs house several times, even though he's coming from the north suburbs. He's very knowledgeable, and offered up a lot of advice and guidance on our choices for window treatments. He was extremely patient with us as we took our time in deciding on a final purchase, changing our minds a few times along the way. We're very happy with the final result and would very strongly recommend him to anyone looking for window treatments! It's worth noting that while many service providers will ask for Angie's List reviews, Mike did not. I suspect that if he did with most cilents, he would get a ton of glowing reviews.

We knew we wanted shutters for our home, but what we didn't know is how many versions and types there are to choose from and how quickly the cost can add up on these types of window treatments. After entertaining countless quotes from other outfits we were so pleased to have found Chicago Shutterworks. Not only did Mike from Chicago Shutterworks beat everyones price (by nearly 50% folks!) he performed incredible work and he's just a darn good guy. Its folks like Mike that truly make you want to continue supporting the local/small business community. We are so pleased with our decision to work with Chicago Shutterworks, and you will be too!
