As usual, Chicagoland Remodeling did very good work. This large project was completed in stages over several months. There were unavoidable delays as we waited 3 months for a new main garage door from a separate contractor, but we are very happy with the final outcome. The individuals who worked on our garage were thorough, neat and friendly. There were the inevitable minor glitches, but owner Wally Szymanski did an outstanding job of seeing to it that they were addressed promptly. We were able to continue using the garage throughout the project.

I would love to have reviewed this business, however, after coming to look over project for an estimate, no one ever got back to me.

I had several contractors come for an estimate- I needed help with design too because I had no idea where to start. No one would help me do the extra step besides Izabela from Chicagoland Remodeling. After we signed the contract she was willing to go out of her way to shop with me, order samples and answer any questions /concerns I had. I also changed my mind several times on the supplies and she graciously allowed me to do so without feeling pressure. The crew was EXCELLENT!! They respected my home and made sure everything was cleaned up after they left each day. I'm extremely satisfied with the work performed and would love to continue using this company.

There was no work performed, only an estimate.

I have used them once before it was good but this time it was a poor job. The work was not done cleanly. They just applied it and did not smooth it not and there are gaps in between so I am getting water inside the house.

Izabela worked very h****** our behalf to find materials that we liked. She has very good taste and found beautiful tiles and accent tiles. Unfortunately, we don't have the money to finish the bathroom right now.

It went VERY well. Stripped the bathroom down to the studs, except left the bathtub. They arrived promptly every day (which was important when you have to take a toddler to school) and cleaned up each night. Tried to make it as easy for us as possible as it was the only bathroom in the house so they put back the toilet every night :) EVERYONE who has seen the finished bathroom has asked for their info. I have already contracted with them to put a family room in my basement! And, whenever I emailed, texted or called, I got a timely response. That alone is unu

They did an excellent job. He works with you on scheduling.The crew completed the work in about 3 days. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. They are very trustworthy. I love Chicagoland Remodeling. I plan on using them for remodeling my kitchen.

Wally's team did a good job with our bathroom. They provided the labor and materials and we bought our own tiles and bathroom fixtures. The first day we came in to sign the contract, Izabella gave us the details and options for the bathroom. The expenses are clearly communicated. Overall, we are satisfied with the service. We are likely to use them again.

Overall, great experience with Chicagoland Remodelers. The Demolition (wall and time) was very clean, project was completed in a timely manor and workmanship was excellent and at a reasonable price. This team really cares about customer satisfaction and the quality of their work. I would recommend service for any and all remodeling projects.

ChicagoLand Remodeling did a wonderful job remodeling our condo in East Lakeview. We loved working with them and they were very responsive, on-time, on budget and eager to please. If we had a question, they had a solution. Their recommendations helped save us money and they organized the schedule and timelines with all the other sub-contractors. As a first time home buyer and going through our first home remodel they made the experience as low stress as possible. I relied heavily on Izabela and was in constant contact with her daily. She was patient and answered all of my questions and went above and beyond to find solutions for us or the right material we were looking for. I would highly recommend ChicagoLand Remodeling and be using them again for all our future construction needs.

I did research and interview a number of good Angie's List candidates before choosing Chicagoland Remodeling Inc.to do my bathroom remodeling, wallpaper installation and new roof installation. I tried to choose one good company who can perform all the work, I tried to avoid multiply Contractor?s working in my house (from the experience I know that always in the middle of the project there will be an issue). In the end I had 3 great candidates to choose from. Wally (Owner) came to my house and took all measurements as well as make a suggestions where I can purchase material for my remodeling (bathroom, wallpaper). After receiving my quote ( I need to mentioned that- was very detailed, they pointed out all work that they were going to do, as well as price range if some of the extra work needs to be done during construction) they quickly set up a date to start which was about a month away and it was perfect. Izabela (Office Manager) emailed me some web pages and brochure with places to shop. I got a great discount on their recommendation from the tile store and they arranged delivery to my house (and took back the overage, which will be refunded to me....really nice). I also purchased some of the material from Chicagoland Remodeling directly like: faucets, bathroom accessories, some of the tiles, wallpaper, vanity & quartz-they really gave me a good deal what let me to save money. Izabela was my primary contact throughout the 3 week process and was very consistent in emailing me and keeping me up to date and/or just there to answer questions, etc. She was always professional and very available. Jack was my carpenter/plumber and electrician all in one! From day one we hit it off perfectly. He and crew was always there on time, worked many long days. Every single day he would put down rug coverings and by the time he left you would never guess there was any construction going on at the house! On days they may have been running late Izabela or Wally always let me know. Wally and Izabela made GREAT design suggestions for laying out the tile and best use of the space...many things I would never have thought of and I was extremely grateful that they took the time to walk me through everything. My bathroom look awesome. Wallpaper we chose was beautiful so I wanted to be sure that it will be install in the right way. Voytek did an excellent job, wallpaper looks like one big pc without visible seams. I already recommend CR to few of my friends who also wants to install wallpaper. I need to mentioned that the same wallpaper at the Merchandise Mart was 40% more expensive than what I paid ordering thru CR. That?s a lot of savings. I will not tell a lot about roofing project (roof is roof ;-), so far so good no leaks), all workers are very hard working to make my house looks good. Roofers cleaned up all debris as well as removed nails form our yard. They did our roof with total tear off and installation in 1 day-amazing. I would use them anytime. Right now I am planning my next project to hire them?.

We hired Chicagoland remodeling for a complete renovation of our master bathroom. Izabela was our primary contact person for this project. The office is very organized. Izabela kept us informed about all the updates and the necessary forms that needed to be completed at each stage of the project especially in regards to our village inspection. She also shared her ideas and thoughts with us and met with us several times throughout the project to help select various materials and also checked different vendors to ensure that we get the best price without compromising quality. Since both of us worked full-time, having this attention to detail and consistent updates really helped us keep track of the project without taking too much personal time off. Overall, we are happy with the finished project and will hire them again for any future projects that we may have.

Chicagoland Remodeling Inc (CR) completed the remodel within a reasonable budget. Communication was maintained throughout, with everyone responsive to phone calls/text/emails/requests. Their list of distributors was helpful in the purchase of all items. Most of the material I purchased, I purchased thru CR. It was evident they have a successful and respectful relationship with the Suppliers, which was great because is saved approximate $ 4500.00, based on my quote that I received from Suppliers working on my own. Wally was on time, professional and easy to talk with at the initial visit and at the meeting with the team assigned to the project. He listened to the goals I had in mind for the rooms and followed up with a detailed proposal and information packet. Izabela, took care of all paperwork with the Village, scheduled inspections and coordinated orders and the delivery of all materials. She was on-site in response to all phone calls and emails, listened to my concerns and followed through in getting things done. Jack, Mike, Damian and Conrad, who did the work were exceptional-- efficient, hard working and knowledgeable about how things work and how things should be done. They fixed and re-did a few things I pointed out, or that they noticed. Jack answered questions, explained things and a few times offered experienced advice. Watching and asking questions during the actual work was not a problem. I felt comfortable speaking up about something that was not acceptable and the CR team followed through on their mission of customer satisfaction. And when the bathroom tiles were not what I had ordered, they worked on other things and were patient while I re-searched and reordered new tiles. Izabela & Wally listened to my goals/needs for the kitchen and was most helpful designing various layouts. The final plan maximized the use of space resulting in lots of storage and countertop work areas. From our meetings she got a sense of the style I was looking for and gave valuable advice on choices for cabinets while answering all my questions. Wojtek who did wallpaper installation was great, he prepared walls before he install wallpaper, so they were smooth and you barely see any seams. I need to mention that our wallpaper was not easy to install. Last but not least Roofing and siding team (Ted, Greg & Derek) also did an amazing job installing new roof and siding on our house, house looks like brand new, we chose to install vinyl D4 siding and looks stunning with the rest of the house made from bricks with different color trims around windows and doors. Though there were a few issues and glitches however over all the project was a success. Already a year has passed and everything is fine. Because of CR?s team approach and their stance on developing company/client relations, I have recommended them and would hire them again for future projects.

It was a 2nd time I hired Chicagoland Remodeling to do the work for us within a month. They did an amazing job first time as well as 2nd. I've no experience with damask wallpaper, so I asked Izabela if she will be able to help me to make my selection. She told me that they have a few wallpaper books as well as samples in the office and I am more than welcome to come and se if I like something what they offer. Well... when I come to the office they do not have a few of books, they have a quite wallpaper kingdom over there :-), the wallpaper she help me to choose is perfect, how surprise I was when Izabela told me the cost of it ...she gave me 50% discount...wow....The cost of the paper is pretty steep at over $300 a single roll. But it was worth every penny. They were awesome!!! They got back to me right away and gave me an estimate very quickly for labor and material cost (and I might add, the final cost matched the estimate) Not only did they install when promised but they did an awesome job. Damask wallpaper is so difficult, because the seams will show - but I am having trouble finding the seams! I just can't thank them enough for helping me with this project! The next time I need painting or wallpaper done, I'll be reaching out to them FIRST!!!.

They provided wonderful service with excellent results. We sought three estimates from top-rated remodelers on Angie's List. Wally, the owner, provided the estimate for Chicagoland Remodeling and all details over the course of a couple of visits, He is ably assisted by Isabela, who has extensive experience herself in remodeling, and provides prompt communication via email, text and phone, as well as up-to-date accounting. The estimate came via email in the form of a detailed multi-page contract, which we appreciate much more than getting just a few lines with a total. Do not be afraid of a long contract; a lot of the language is there to protect either contractor or homeowner, and it assures you that the contractor places promises in writing and has experience with the different issues that can come up as well. We discussed or made changes to the contract in areas we thought did not apply or that we were not comfortable with. We went with Chicagoland Remodeling for the best value. There was some delay in getting work started, I think due to unavoidables on both our parts, such as booked schedules, summer vacations, and illness, but once they started they worked hard. They have different crews of workers and worked very steadily with full attention to our project, despite a few slowdowns caused by a wait for building inspectors. All work met with code. All little issues that cropped up along the way were resolved to our satisfaction, and they made an effort to alert me when questions came up. They seemed to always have our best interest in mind, and pride in their work. All their workers came across as experienced and professional. Everyone laid down floor protectors and took care not to damage anything. Since our bathroom had already been gutted before they began, they did not place dust barriers. Some of the plumbing trim made in Europe came with instructions that seemed hard to understand, they first installed it a bit off, nothing serious, and came back right away to fix it. As for the most important thing, the room looks fabulous! We ended up wanting more work than specified in the contract, especially electrical work, but they provided us with a clear idea of the extra cost in an email. The electrician helped us pick great lighting fixtures and installed separate timers on lights, heat, fan, and towel warmer, as well as dimmers for the sconces and over sink lighting. The details was worth it. We are so happy with our new bathroom: it is all-at-once a spa retreat, everyday bathroom, and powder room for guests that works like it is supposed to and is a beautiful improvement to our home

Chicagoland remodeled two of our bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, built a closet in a bedroom, installed 6 new windows. We had a lot of tiles installed in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, and the person who installed was Jack and he did an excellent job. The entire work was done good by the crews and we are very happy with the details of work. Also they have very good electrician, Tom.

Despite some glitches right in the beginning with communication about how the process would work (I am a newbie to remodeling, and it wasn't clear how to go about finding the right fixtures), once we got underway the work was very professionally done. We had a big problem with relocating some drainage pipes due to the original toilet not being properly situated in the old bathroom, which added both time and costs, but Jack, the main contractor on this job, knew how to solve myriad dilemmas and was very detail-oriented and creative in his thinking, as well as patient, and after this "detour," all proceeded normally. And after each day of work, they cleaned up the workplace well. The end result is fabulous. I really love it. Really professional and beautiful work done by Jack along with his assistants. The Highland Park inspectors are strict but even they were impressed with quality of work. This bathroom looks even better than I expected it to look -- just wonderful!

As much as I'd like to give a glowing report on Chicagoland, I can't. I've used them in the past with excellent results, but this time was different. I called them during the busy time of the year, I know, but it took a month between signing the contract and them starting the work. I'd tried to be understanding. Izabela does the best she can in the front office, but I think what is happening is they are taking on more than they can handle. They should hire someone who can work strictly as an estimator and a liaison to Izabela, instead of relying on Wally. Someone fluent in Polish, English and Spanish most likely would be the best candidate (although I bet that would be hard to find.) The person that worked on my job I think was in too much of a rush to get things done and didn't focus like he should and certainly did not communicate with me when he had problems. I had to point out some of his errors. He was the only one working on the projects - it would have been nice if a foreman or more experienced worker would have come in to check his work. I can say that they will come back and fix any problems without complaint, but doing it right the first time would be best. When it means you have to take time off from work, this is especially true. Some of the errors were a result of poor quality of materials used. Another error involved poor judgement in placing a wall mount sink and applying way to much caulk in an attempt to hold it up on the wall. Really bad idea. I believe the guy who was working on my project was mostly inexperienced. I know some of the other workers would have been more diligent. I won't list the other problems. They weren't terrible mistakes, but collectively it means I can't use them again. I don't trust they'd get things done right the first time. It's too bad. I hope they take the advice concerning an estimator, and also make sure they have more experienced workers and better oversight, even on the smallest projects. If you are on the fence about this company I wouldn't say dismiss them completely. Get a bid and make sure you know what to ask for. I'd say someone who has had experience dealing with contractors would be best, and not someone who is hiring for a home project the first time out.

It went well. Wally was very professional. Izabella was prompt to return calls and answered all questions and got information to Wally very timely. I felt throughout the process that my business was important to them. The two of them were so responsive and patient at a time that I was on medication that would cause me to forget everything!!. After the fighting with my insurance company had went so long, I was so happy to be working with Wally. I felt that he was a Godsend. I was a bit disappointed in the fact that the drywall repair was not as excellent as I'd hope. The sanding is obviously not smooth in a few places and the pulling away of the tape left a couple of bad spots. Otherwise I'd say good interior work. To be perfectly fair with Wally and Izabella I have never told them that the sanding was not smooth. I know they would have taken care of it if I had. But I had taken all the time I could afford off work so I chose to live with it because it is not so bad

They came out on July 2nd, the president of the company inspected the 2 condo units so he would have an estimate for me on Monday. I told him the work needed to be done starting in the next few weeks. It is now Tuesday and his office told me that he would not be able to start until November becasue his schedule was filled. I am very unhappy that I took the time off work and now we will have to find someone else.
