TERRIBLE! They came up to do the job and the gentleman that showed up hit a wall that didn't need to be painted. They said they would fix that issue and NEVER did. So not only did that create more issues, they made the current issue even more horrible. The paint job was an ABOMINATION! I would not use them again and have someone else out now fixing the job.

I bought a deal through Angie?s List to have two rooms painted. After the purchase, the owner, Mr. Ayala, told me that there was a room size limit of 12? x 13? per room, which was not included in the fine print of the deal. One of the rooms I asked to be painted exceeded that size limit. He gave me a quote of $270 to have the extra area painted. That?s close to half of the $629 I paid for the deal. In addition, the combined area of two 12" x 13" rooms was exactly the same as the combined area of my two rooms, so I found the high extra cost frustrating. (In full disclosure, the fine print of the deal did include a ceiling height limit of 8?. My ceilings are 8?6? and I was prepared to pay extra for the additional 6?. That shouldn?t have cost $270 though.) Of course, Angie?s List refunded my money without any hassle, which I appreciated.

Alexie is a great person and easy to work with. Prompt responses and service. Their quote was less than other providers and quality of paint job was professional quality. Very responsive and would use again. If I had to do it over, I would have bought the paint myself but that's nitpicking. Highly recommend for an affordable painter that really cares about his work.

We found Alexie on Angie's List and decided to give him a call since there were enough great reviews. We asked for an estimate for 2 bedrooms, living room and 2 small halls. He responded that day and we made an appointment. We were impressed with his professionalism, friendliness and confidence to do a good job for our project and decided to choose him over others. We were having windows installed the week prior and he said it would not be a problem to work with our schedule. Alexie was good to follow up with a phone call the day before to confirm that everything had gone well on our end. When painting day came, the crew arrived on time and was ready to go to work. Alexie was aware there were a couple of minor drywall spots that needed repair but I showed him an area that I was not aware of that was hiding behind a bed where the wall was pretty bad. It was above a vent and below a window and the insulation had not been adequate. Despite the wall being a mess, Alexie stated it would not be a problem and that he had the skills and products that would restore the wall properly. Alexie and his partner worked diligently and quickly, but it was obvious they did not cut corners. Everything progressed smoothly and my wife was so thrilled with the job, she went and bought lunch for the two of them. (And that says a lot, since she has high expectations!) When it came towards the end, I inspected the damaged wall and couldn't believe the incredible job they had done to restore it. The rooms looked completely like new and we couldn't have been happier. Alexie and his partner did an outstanding job cleaning up and respecting our home. We will be hiring Chicago Painting Specialist for all future jobs. We were truly able to count on them for quality work.

Their work was fantastic. Alexis met with me in advance to quote all of the work. He stayed on point with the cost, used premium supplies, worked with my schedule and made it all happen in one weekend. Awesome work. We will hire them again.

I had the owner walk thou the job a week before the schedule job date to make sure we both was on the same page. He explain to me that I would have move all the furniture to the middle of each room and remove everything from walls and windows. We highlighted cracks,holes, and other areas that needed repairs prior to painting. We discuss what brand of paint, finish of paint, and how much paint would be needed. I had to buy the paint & dry wall compound. In the two days they patched cracks and holes in ceilings and walls, painted walls, trim and ceilings in four rooms using multiple colors in each room for walls, trim and ceilings. These were the room sizes; Living Room - 21x20 Dining Room - 16x12 Bed Room - 14x14 Bed Room - 12x10 They were very professional and prop, they started at nine am took 30 minute for lunch and stopped work cleaned up at five pm. The quality of work was very good.

There were several cracks in the walls, as well as dust from the fireplace, and now the walls look amazing. You cannot tell where he patched, it's just flawless. Alexie and Lorenzo are very professional. Lorenzo is a very hard worker, I cannot believe how fast he got the jobs done! Alexie is very personable and I am looking forward to having him get a few more things done in my house. Speaking as a single woman, I have been ripped off in the past, and I am wary in these situations. But I feel Alexie is very honest. I would definately recommend him.

I bought a Big Deal for 200 sq ft of deck refinishing. I knew both that my deck was larger than 200 sq ft (the 2nd floor alone is nearly that much) and that my deck had been neglected over the last eight years and would likely need extra attention. After purchasing the deal Alexie was quick to reach out and schedule a date and time to come out and evaluate the job. The first date wound up getting rained out (we both got water in our buildings) so we re-scheduled and Alexie was very prompt. He was able to evaluate the state of the deck/porch (it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be). He was very upfront and said that the work needed was beyond the scope of the deal. We discussed what might be needed and agreed that his crew would pressure wash the deck first and decide where to go from there. After the pressure washing the 2nd floor came clean pretty well, but the 1st floor needed to be sanded, as did the ramp we have. We removed the previous deck/porch in the Spring of 2007 and built the new one to last for years. It was stained in the Fall of 2007. We hadn't done anything to it since. The 2nd floor is especially exposed to the elements. The wood was very thirsty for stain. In the end it turned out all of the horizontal surfaces required two coats of stain. If we had kept up the finish of the deck/porch the cost would have likely been far less, but it is what it is. The work that Alexie and Lorenzo did was nothing short of fantastic. They made sure we were totally satisfied with the work. When issues cropped up, as it was inevitable they would given how long it had been since we'd had finish work done, they were ready with solutions that wouldn't cost us an arm and a leg. Our deck and porch now look as good as they did when we had them installed eight years ago. We are very pleased with the work that was done. I will have Alexie and his crew back in future years to keep up the appearance of our deck and porch.?

Alexie and his crew were responsive, timely and professional. And given our wet weather conditions he had to be somewhat clairvoyant to pinpoint an opportunity to get the job done between storms. Great service and a great job

Alexie and his crew did an excellent job on concealing a bad stain on the bathroom ceiling, and preparing and painting several surface areas within the house without generating dust. Very professional job.

Alexie and his team were punctual, professional, and hard working. We are so pleased with how well everything turned out. We have a beautiful tile kitchen backsplash and the painting was done perfectly with no error. Highly recommend!

Alexie coordinated with my complicated schedule and my building managment (I live in a 6 story apartment building in River North) and worked upwards of 20 hours on my place in order to get the job done right. I was able to lend my keys to the painters to paint my whole place while I was out for the day. They did not disturb any of my neighbors and were quiet as they worked. I came home once unannounced and they were working so hard they were sweating. Not a drop of paint touched anything it was not supposed to. Everything looks amazing and my place looks brand new. I am so excited about the work that was done. I would highly recommend these guys to paint your place. I will be using their services again in the near future.,

I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List for 40 hours of interior house painting. Alexie of Chicago Painting Specialists responded nearly immediately. We made arrangements to paint my house two weeks from the date of my purchase, and Alexie kept in touch via phone and email in the interim, confirming my paint choices, and answering my questions. Alexie arrived with his employee exactly on time every day of the job. They worked diligently, covering a great deal in the 40 hours, taking only a short lunch breaks. The quality of the work was excellent; it is obvious that Alexie and his team are skilled and careful painters. My house looks terrific. They left the place immaculate--probably cleaner than it was before they started. Additionally, I asked Alexie to wash, repair and stain my deck, and he did an excellent job with that as well. I am very pleased with service I received from Chicago Painting Specialists, and I intend to have them back to do further work on my house.

Alexie was incredibly professional throughout our project. Always ontime, flexible in scheduling and straighforward on pricing and the potential for any snags along the way. The finished product is great and we will undoubtedly use Alexie and his company again for any painting needs.

The project went extremely well. He even provided advice as to how I should proceed on a Diy project. Alexie was prompt, friendly, yet professional, and worked diligently until all tasks were completed.

Alexie stepped in when our contractor's carpenter deserted him. He swept into our house, full of good cheer, assessed the situation, suggested a new approach that I hadn't thought of, declared that the whole space involved should be left open for the installation of the new oven with the reconstruction performed after the installation, and proceeded to do the tear out right then and there. The appliance store installed the new oven the next day and Alexie was back that evening with the materials required. He performed the surgery necessary on the fancy trim and had it and the microwave back in place in less than two hours. What a guy! We will call on him in the future for all the different tasks he can perform.

Alexie did a superb job on all work he peformed for us. The tilng and plaster repair is such perfection, we gave him the nickname the "Plaster Whisperer". He is a true master craftsman and does absolutely extraordinarily beautiful work. Alexie jumped on a vexing water leak issue and proved his problem solving skills - after many months of hassle with "help", Alexie had it figured out and fixed in just a few hours. Additionally, he is a lovely person, easy to have around, punctual and reliable. Alexie is AWESOME, I wouldn't hesitate to refer him for any project.

Alexie was excellent--always on time, always professional and helpful, always VERY detail oriented. The painting job was difficult because it required him to take tile off of a wall and to spend hours sanding down and smoothing out the very rough, gluey wall that was left behind. There was also a lot of scraping of old paint that was a part of this job. Alexie was meticulous with every detail and really made a bathroom that was old and pretty beaten up look new again. His prices were very reasonable, and the job was first-rate. I will be working with him again on other jobs.
