+ -1 moreWe woke up during the night covered in sweat and knew our AC was out. It was 3 a.m. We called Certified Heating and Cooling and spoke to Don. He said they had been working all night and would catch a couple hours sleep and be over around 10:00.The service performed was excellent. They called around 9:00 to confirm and came right on time. They did a thorough cleaning, fixed a problem caused by a power surge. They were professional, full of good advice and we highly recommend them. We also had them service our furnace in the winter of 2011. We called at 1 a.m. and they were out by 3 a.m. and fixed the problem promptly and we had heat within the hour. This company offers great service and pricing.
Description of Work: The unit was dirty and damaged by a power surge. Parts were replaced and the unit was cleaned. Don recommended two filters be installed because the fan might stop running and the condenser would burn out. For some reason, when our unit was installed it was installed without the filters.This job has to be performed in cooler weather and takes some time. They recommended we do this in the fall or spring. The unit is good to use in the meantime, but we have to keep an eye on it in case the fan shuts down and the unit continues to run. There would be a humming noise and we would notice warm air instead of cool air being blown.

+ -1 moreCalled Certified to get a quote for a new a/c unit as a previous vendor stated during a maintenance visit it needed full replacement. After inspection the pleasant surprise was the unit did not need to be replaced only certain parts maintained. Services mentioned above were performed. Unit is now in fine working condition.
Description of Work: Certified cleaned a/c compressor and blower. Replaced in-line compressor filters and valves.
