 + -1 moreI was very pleased with Dennis' work. He was punctual and polite and my shower looks like it did when we first built it. Grout in a glass block wall and grout around ceramic tile are subject to wear-and-tear, especially since we have well water. Dennis at Grout Doctor did a superb job of cleaning and replacing grout and caulking in our shower.
Description of Work: The Grout Doctor cleaned and replaced both grout and caulking in and around the shower in our master bath. The walk-in shower has a great deal of ceramic tile and a wall of glass block. The Grout Doctor was able to get both the glass block and the ceramic tile look like new!

 + -1 moreHe was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and recommended solutions that were reasonable when he could have told us we needed to remove all the grout; instead he fixed what could be repaired and removed and re-grouted only what really needed it. Leak was gone and we have been happy with his work more than a year later!
Description of Work: Our shower tile was installed poorly as part of a whole-house renovation, and we called in the grout doctor to remove what couldn't be fixed, re-grout and then seal the grout.

 + -1 moreThe whole job went fantastic. Slight delay due to trading voice messages but overall good communication through out. Jim came and explained everything in detail, we agreed on the price and he went right to work. Jim finished the initail steps of removing and replacing bad grout areas, he cleaned up the area very well and then we agreed on when he would come back to finish staining. Staining took only a short time and after inspection the work I gladly wrote the check.A few days later we saw one small spot (about one inch of grout) that didn't take the stain well and called Jim for advice. He returned the next day and re-worked the spot by grinding and re-grouting etc. The floor turned out great!
Description of Work: Repairs and staining of grout in powder room. Grind out bad grout areas agreed on, clean all grout lines, apply new grout, return to stain all grout. Returned for one small spot that didn't take stain well. Re-ground area, applied new grout and applied stain when completely dried at no extra charge.

 + 0 moreSaturday appointment for estimate, punctual and super nice. Made appointment for the next Tuesday, punctual and quick, cleaned up well. Second appointment following Tuesday (split them up so would have one working shower at a time), punctual. Everything went very smoothly. Have already recommended to neighbor, who had work done on Friday.
Description of Work: Removed caulk and grout marble tile in master shower, re-grout, re-caulk, clean and seal. Re-caulk granite vanity. Clean and seal marble tile floor. Re-caulk marble tile tub and shower in guest bath. Clean and seal marble tile floor.

 + 0 moreGrout on part of the tile in bathtub area was loose, moldy and missing. He recommended only doing part of it being the rest was in good shape. It turned out good, but the color didn't match. He said it would over time, which it has improved (3 months), but still can tell where new grout is. Caulk around tub seems too thick and a little uneven. I probably should have had him regrout everything. Could have cleaned up better when finished. Overall I am fairly satisfied with the results, for the price. Very responsive and on time.
Description of Work: Regrouted and caulked a portion of tile in bathtub and corners from top to bottom and around tub.
