Terminix - Elmhurst -Termite & Pest Control

.They used special stuff because I have asthma.

Everything has been just fine with this company. I like how they accept payments online. If I ever had a problem with anything they are very quick to respond and they taking care of the issues. I will continue to use this company.

What's really nice about Terminix is that if you do have a problem you can call them and they will come right out to address it. So, you don't have to wait for your regularly scheduled service. Overall, I've been pleased.

I spent $50 on that service. They are very thorough and professional. They will also come back if I have a problem in-between. I think that they are normally priced.

What I like about them is that, you sign up and then they send you a reminder and they come. They always come and it is the same guy who has been there with the company for over 20 years. He is very reliable and very conscientious and keeps you up-to-date on everything. It works and we don't have any bugs. They are really cheap. It is really the reminders that I like. They don't use anything that is harmful to the pets and the environment.

I have been using them for probably seven years. They charge $400 for the whole year. They immediately come out when I call. They come out within a day or two and provide very quick service. I would continue to use them in the future.

I don?t have a contract with them, but they come out to my place four times a year. I find them a little pricey, but they will come back several times if I have an issue with mice or whatever. They are pretty responsive; if I have an issue and call them, they will schedule and come back. The one agent that comes to the house is professional. They do not do the interior unless I ask them to. They typically only come by when I am not around, so they just do work on the exterior. I don?t see any pests inside, so I guess their work is effective. We have a lot of mice in the neighborhood, and we see the mice usually in the wintertime. I actually haven?t seen the mice at all for about a year, so I think they are doing quite well. Everyone else is reducing their prices but they have not, so I think they are a little expensive; however, I have not compared them to any other extermination company either. I would continue to use them in the future.

I am never home. My wife and I sometimes get the inside done during the summer. I know that my dad switched over to them from another service provider as the other service provider did not do both the inside and the outside. I feel that they could spray a little further from the house. They only go up to the perimeter of the house whereas the ant hill is ten feet away from my house. They are sometimes hesitant and I don't like that.

They are willing to come back and everything that we’ve asked them to get rid of, they have. I can’t comment on the price because my daughter-in-law pays for it. They come when they say they are going to. I would use their services again in the future.

What I really like is the fact that I can call them back for another service if I have some issue and they respond very quickly. They provide like a feedback form, they email me before they are going to come and after the service, they email me to let me know my comments, complaints etc. It is $80 a service and they come quarterly. Overall, the work went very well. I would continue to use them in the future.

They were professional and were on time. I cannot give you the price offhand. He even cleaned up after he finished with his work. I would use them in the future.

I have an annual contract with them. They come out quarterly. If I see little insects running around then I called them, and they come out to fix it. If they are scheduled to come next week, they will still come out the next week. I love them. Their technicians are great. They are funny and personable. They always address our issues with the ants. I can't say enough things about them. I really don't have anything to compare to their price. I didn't have the contract with anybody else. I call other companies to come out and they just never got rid of them, until Terminix came out and did that. They are not so punctual.

First, the appliances they put in were poorly put in, and many came out. Because they have pesticides inside, it's not good to have them lying around on the ground, as animals or children can get into them. Second, the personnel never got back to me about whether I had termites. Finally, I contacted them to ask if they had found termites, and they had not. I feel that the termite service should have been discontinued when the personnel did not find any. Third, whatever the personnel did did not change the ant situation at all. Fourth, although in the contract discussions I had asked that the personnel not apply any pesticides other than what was contained in the appliances they put in the ground, after a while I found personnel visiting and spraying something around. I asked why they were doing that, as I had not wanted that kind of thing done, and the employee said he thought thats what my service was. He had not checked what my service was supposed to be. Given the association of certain pesticides with severe diseases, such as Parkinsons and cancer, I think pesti-control companies should be really careful, and Terminix was not. Fifth, the company barraged me with phone calls and communications, even long after I had suspended the service. They even kept coming after I asked the company to stop the services. It seems to me that the different parts of the company are not in communication with each other. I also feel that they ignore customer communications. I don;t recommend this company. It's services are a waste of time and dangerous, as carried out, and it is a real pest (pun intended) in how it keeps contact you even when you have fired it.

They are busy these days, as they are. They are very good in keeping me informed if I can?t have them in. They keep calling until it?s convenient for me to call them. Otherwise I keep forgetting. They are very nice. That?s very professional. Their price is little high. I would use them in the future.

We have an ongoing yearly contract with them. We use them once in a month. Our caretaker handles it in Indianapolis. We had trouble with them scheduling. They were supposed to come 4th Monday of every month but sometimes they come on 2nd and sometimes on 3rd. The caretaker has had problems scheduling with them. We will use them as we seemed to join as a heap with them for some reason.

We signed up for regular services for one year (at $90 per quarter) to deal with mice and insects in our 4-flat (where we also live). For the first three visits, a different person came each time, and each one had to be shown around the house again and each had a different opinion and advice. It was so frustrating to go through the same thing every time, and to not know whose opinion to trust. Finally, they sent us a 'permanent' exterminator who came for the next three visits, but he was the worst of all of them. He was not thorough and would complain about 'not getting paid' when he came out for unscheduled visits (those that were off the regular quarterly schedule, but that I could request as part of the contract. I had to do this, because he would often arrive without notice for the quarterly visits and I wouldn't be there to let him in. So, he would count it as one of his quarterly visits, even though he only walked around the perimeter of the house!) Additionally, he constantly talked about things unrelated to the job, ranging from trying to sell other things to me to unwelcomed talk about his dating life. I felt uncomfortable being alone with him in the house (I am female, and my husband was always at work), and eventually I asked Terminex to no longer send him to my house. They assured me that my house would be taken off of his route, yet he continued to come to my house two more times. I complained again, yet the receptionist was not able to do much of anything nor did anyone else ever respond to me. I then canceled the service and explained all of my concerns and disappointment - yet my complaints didn't seem to go anywhere.

They seemed to have no idea what they were doing. The issue kept occurring. This went on for about a year. I had to continually have them out. They would make appointments and not show up, they were late when they did and not one person had any idea how to take care of the issue. One of the Tech's tried her best but had no idea how to get rid of them. She even had her manager come out. Nothing. I knew where the bugs were coming from but they did nothing to really address the issue there. I have talked to corporate Terminix about the lack of resolution, appointment no-shows, ect. No resolution. For obvious reasons I stopped working with Terminix but I still get calls at all hours from corporate when I have told them my reasons to not have them out ever again and I continually get things in the mail from them. My experience with Terminix was before I joined Angie's List. I have since found a wonderful pest control company through Angie's list. They have solved my issue immediately.

Made an appointment between 10 and 12. Didn't show up, so called and was told technision would would come between 3 and 5. Terminix called me at 5 to see if he'd shown up. When told no show, was told he'd be there in 10 minutes. Never came. Called to make sure I hadn't been charged, and was told I hadn't been, and there was no record of his not showing up. Also have a monthly contract for pest control at vacation home in Indianapolis, and have had problems with no-shows there.

They were very thorough but a little bit pricey for what they were going to do. Once I found out they were not termites, I wasn't too worried about it. He explained that they could also cause some damage. He wanted to give me a plan where they would come out every so often. I ended up talking to some other people and I didn't think it was that serious of a problem. He recommended that I get some branches cut down and I did do that.

I think they are reputable. This price is not the cheapest, but they come frequently and they always address our issues pretty carefully.

I have been an annual service customer for 10 years and for the last 2 years they have increased the quarterly payments without notifying the customers. It went from $98 to now being $114. They do not call to schedule your quarterly service call so if you are not home they just do the outside. Finally I was so fed up with bad service I canceled by plan and asked for a manager to call me. They NEVER called. I called AGAIN and NO RETURN CALL. Then last night they called me at 9pm to try and get me to pay for a service which was preformed with out my consent and after I stopped my service plan. They are HORRIBLE and I can not believe they do not call customers back. Especially someone who has been a customer for 10 years. I will call ANY pet control company before calling them again!

erminex employees seem to be incentivized for bringing in new customers, so before I signed the annual contract, they were great - very prompt and responsive. After I became an official customer, everything changed. We would have thousands of ants crawling everywhere and they would no-show 3 and 4 times. I heard every excuse from illness to funeral, but it took months to get someone out even though I had paid in full for a year of service. After two years of a bad experience when I went to cancel, they told me I could not. I had to threaten to contact the Illinois Attorney General before they stopped billing me. Do not use Terminex.

Initial inspection and pesticide application went very well. HOWEVER, once that was done and I signed on for a three year service agreement, it has been nothing but hassles. Four cancelled appointments with us waiting at the house. Complaints to their customer service line with promised follow up by local manager - who has never called. The Terminix Streamwood, IL office simply does not seem to care. So far, I've spent several hours on the phone in 5-6 calls trying to get satisfaction and 3 days at home waiting on service appointments which never arrived. I want the money I spent on my service agreement back. The initial impression of good service has been followed by nothng but disappointment and wasted time.

They come out and spray around the house so that we don?t have any problems with bugs and all kinds of insects. The service guy who comes out is very friendly and helpful. I have been very happy with their service. I haven?t had any issues with bugs since I started using their services. The price that they charged was after a discount.

They did fine. I would use them again in the future.
