+ -1 moreWe cannot say enough about the Rhino Shield product...We've lived in our home for 29 years and had to repaint/restain the cedar siding every 4 years. It would usually show signs of peeling within 3 years...We heard about Rhino Shield, they gave us a quote that was not much more than to get it restained but they had the phenomenal 25 year warranty. We went ahead and signed the paperwork, and it was the best decision we ever made Other than our issue with the carpenter ants, the coating is showing no signs of fading or peeling...looks like the work was done yesterday. We actually had them return 5 years ago for a room addition as well as 2 years ago for a kitchen remodel where windows and doors were removed and siding replaced....everything matches perfectly. I really enjoyed the folks that I've dealt with especially Arvis and Nancy. If your home has cedar siding, it would be worth it to talk with these folks about an excellent product!
Description of Work: Rhino Shield originally coated our house 7 yrs ago. It is warrantied for 25 years. We couldn't figure out why some of the coating was peeling away. We called our rep, he was here within 48 hours...removed some our cedar siding and found carpenter ants. They cleaned it out (we contacted an exterminator to prevent future problems), replaced and retreated the new siding and it looks like brand new. They charged us NOTHING for the repair!

+ -1 moreThe overall experience went extremely well. Once you digest the coast of elastromeric paint, the finished product puts you at ease with its beauty. Rhino Shield comes with a 25 year transferable warranty. It has only been a week since our house was coated so only time will tell. Not only did we have the house coated, we changed the color all together. The crew arrived on time every day and they cleaned up behind themselves every day. The crew lead was awesome; very professional, courteous and accommodating. It took 7 business days to finish the job. The attention to detail was outstanding. While our house was being coated, both my husband and I were out of town on business. Since we had recently purchased flowers in planters we were worried that they would dry out and die so we asked the crew leader to water the plants. Guess what ? He did. Over this past weekend, we've received numerous compliments from our neighbors. Our home looks like new again.

+ -1 moreThey came out on the day they indicated -- I was at work and never saw anyone. When I returned home the job had been completed, The new paint job looked excellent and everything was cleaned and good as new.
Description of Work: Original painting was done about 7-8 years ago when Rhino was based out of Indiana and was just in the process of opening the market in Chicagoland. They did an excellent job but the paint color on the west side of the house that gets the brunt of the weather was becoming somewhat blotchy. The surface quality of the coating was still intact. They now have a Chicago office and when I called in to inquire, they were the ones to respond. They sent a man out to respray the surface and it now looks good as new -- no cost involved. Very pleased with the quality and service. Would highly recommend Rhino Shield.

+ -1 moreWe were so impressed with the responsiveness of the owners and the crew. The crew of 3-5 came early and stayed late. They were all professional, and treated our property as if it were their own. professional. The team was clean and neat, attentive and respectful. The owners came out everyday to check the progress of the job and spoke with us Any questions that we had were answered in a respectful manner. The team asked me to do a final inspection. There was some small details that needed to be brushed on. Nothing was too much trouble When one of the owners came after the inspection, he saw something that needed to be brushed with paint. He had his own brush and completed it himself We would use this company and crew without any hesitation We are very pleased with the final product and, our neighbors have also notified. They all love it. It was a pleasure to work with Rhino Shield

They are very professional and did a good work. Just basically good adjectives I don’t have one problem at all and the guarantees that they have is better than anything in the industry for 25 years.

+ -1 morePaint has held up well except for some fading on the west facing front surface that takes the brunt of the weather and sun. No deterioration in the paint surface itself. In the process now of trying to reach them to see of that wall can be repainted. No return call received as yet.

Description of Work: We wanted the exterior of the house "repainted" but was disgusted with how soon the process needs to be repeated. We have been here for 10 years and we have painted or touched up the paint 4 times. I was looking for another solution to the " problem" instead of a regular paint job. We found Rhino Shield online, made an appointment with the representative - Rand. He was very thorough, answered all our questions, explained the process and quoted us a price. After researching the Rhino Shield product and making site visits to 4 homes in the area we decided to proceed with the contact even though it was well beyond what we would have paid for a paint job. It is fully guaranteed ( labor and product for 15 yrs) and the product is guaranteed for 25 yrs. So ask me in 15 years what I think then, but for now I am extremely pleased with the outcome. The crew chief Aurelio and his crew were prompt, professional and very eager to respond to all my questions and concerns. The project took longer than expected due to the all the rain we have had over the last 2 weeks, but it is now completed and I am very pleased. The project manager - John- was very professional., easy to deal with and tolerated my request for various paint color samples on my house with professionalism. If the product actually lasts for 25 years it is a cost effective purchase, as well as saving the time, inconvenience et.c of repainting every few years.

+ -1 moreThe sales person visited the house, took photos and gave us a proposal. The price was approximately three times # that we had earmarked for the project, so we had to modify the scope. Instead of painting the facade and side of the house, we elected just to paint the facade and entry. The process takes several days:1). high pressure wash2). tape off all trim and cover windows3). apply primer4). apply adhesive layer5). test colors6). spray trim paint7). spray surface paint ADMIRE RESULTS! The painters were absolutely professional and the site manager was super patient as we struggled with getting the color just right. I can't believe how beautiful the house looks and it's virtually erased the painful memory of the derelict masons. :)
Description of Work: We live in a 100 yr old brick storefront. Last year, we replaced the facade however the mason's BURNED the surface of the brick by using the wrong acid wash to clean up. Consequently, we were reminded every day upon entering our home that our new (very expensive) facade was RUINED. We decided the following year to paint the facade but were reluctant due to the peeling paint you sometimes see on painted, brick houses. We heard the Rhinoshield advertisement on the radio (WBBM?) and called to schedule a consultation. We were impressed with the before and after photos, 25 year transferable warranty and technical attributes of the ceramic paint and decided to request a bid.
