It was great. They were referred to me by the 3D Concrete Design. I was given several options for design. From order to installation was 5 weeks, well within the time frame I was given. They look great.

This was a wonderful experience and one that is sadly, all too rare. My call was promptly returned. Cary, the owner, came out the same day to look over the job and provide an estimate. He was friendly, on time, and just a really nice guy. I told him I wanted the railings installed before Halloween if possible. He beat that deadline! The railings look fabulous and match perfectly the other existing railings. Their works was quick, thorough, and they cleaned up everything when they were done. Highly, highly recommend! Great experience! So nice to do business with someone who keeps his word, delivers a high quality product, and provides excellent customer service.

Very quick turnaround on the quote and very professional. Helpful over the phone discussing questions and options. Was upfront about the long lead time - about 5 weeks. Job came in on time and was very well done - no issues. They even sent a $5 gift card as thank you to Panera! Limited availability of providers so price is tough to shop around, but it seems fair.

the man was very nice, but after we started discussing details, he told me he really does not think he can make me happy because I was very specific about what i wanted and we didn't seem to be on the same page. I am truly grateful for his honesty., otherwise, I would have been disappointed and felt like I was settling for something I did not want. I have called another company from the A list.

Mr Zec was disinterested. Said his business is in Chicago and because my job was likely less than $750 dollars he was not interested and suggested I find someone else.

The provider never showed up for the appointment. They did not respond to messages.

It went very well. The owner came out and did the measuring and showed us our choices of styles. His crew arrived on the promised installation date and they finished the job on time and on budget as promised and as a bonus, we didn't even have to be home while they worked. We came home to a beautifully accented entrance way to our home.

The owner of the concrete company that replaced the front stoop and added a step recommended Railings & Things. I had already attempted to get this work done by two or three other companies that didn't work out. Cary Zec gave a reasonable estimate for the work and offered a lot of style choices. He also made a good structural assessment of where the railings chould be placed. Once the permit was obtained, we received the railings in about three weeks. Cary was available whenever I contacted him with a question and was great to work with. The village inspector said that the work had been done well. The railings look great ~ excellent final result.

We did not use him but he was very knowledgeable and helpful as to whether we paint or replace our outdoor railings. I would definitely recommend him.

Fantastic! I am so pleased with the results!! We met with Cary who came out to the house. He showed us options for what would fit best on our stairs. Cary is so nice and professional. Very down to earth and did not push us to buy anything we didn't need. Very straight forward. Love that! We selected a simple design and the order was placed right away. The final install was approximately 4weeks due to the railings being made and the permit from our village being issued. The installers came out on Friday and were done installing in about 1 hour. They were very courteous and professional. Very clean! The railings look fantastic! Pricing can't be beat either. I had 3 quotes on this job. One vendor didn't even come out to the house, yet he quoted me $3000 for the same job!! I would highly recommend Cary and the team at Railings and Things! I am so happy thanks Cary!

Cary came out and discussed choices and showed styles. Showed us pretty much the type and quality of railings that we wanted. Discussed the color and explained why white is a tough choice for durability. Showed samples of rail and colors. Generated a quote based on all options we determined we wanted and that became the final price. Time estimated was 2-3 weeks. Called when hardware was ready and came out at agreed date and time. Removed old railings, drilled larger holes to accommodate new railings, aligned railings, touched up section that had to be welded in place and painted it, and cleaned area and new railings. Even gave me a small amount of paint for touch up in the future. We are very satisfied with the professionalism of the installers and the quality of the work. Will recommend to others.

Two workers completed the described job in a timely manner. They were quick with clean up. The new railings are very sturdy and attractive, as promised by Cary, the business owner.

Cary was very prompt in responding to my request for information on installing the railing. Within a very short time the railing was manufactured and installed. It looks beautiful and I have had many compliments on it. There was a slight bump in the process when the removal of the old railing left holes on the deck where I thought the new railing would cover. Cary was quick to come up with a solution to my satisfaction and it was very fair. Thanks Angie's List and Railings and Things for a great job!

I called to inquire about having a wrought-iron fence repaired. I received a prompt call back to let me know that my best bet was to hire a welder to make the repair. I appreciated the honesty that this would be a less expensive option. So obviously we didn't use them, but they were quick to respond and candid, which is more than I can say for the other vendors I called.

The service was prompt, professional and friendly. The selection was huge. What I really liked was the low pressure, high information quality of Cary's (rep) first visit. He explained everything carefully and he listened to what we wanted. The workmen came exactly when they said they would and did a professional job. The result is a superior quality, gorgeous new set of railings that we absolutely love. Railings and Things really knows and cares about railings. I would recommend them highly.

Railings were installed on date promised.

I phoned the company for an appointment to get an estimate. They came out the next day. We discussed the scope of the project and I received an estimate. Measurements were taken and we were told that someone else would be out to verify the measurements later in the week - which they did. The railings were installed 4 weeks later and we are very happy with the work.

It was easy to pick out the railing style that I wanted on the website; and during the initial consultation I was able to verify the correct color with some actual railing samples. The appointments for the initial consultation, measuring, and installation were all scheduled at my convenience; and everyone arrived promptly on time! I was told that the railings would take about 4-6 weeks to build; but they were actually available earlier. I really appreciated that, too; because I had mentioned that I was worried that it would start snowing before they could be installed, which would have been dangerous for my disabled mother. I am very pleased with the service, the price, and the final product; and I would definitely use Railings & Things again in the future.

Cary came out and gave me the estimated price & the work was done in a satisfactory manner approzimately three weeks later.

Everything was done as promised. We were very happy with the workmanship of the job.

Was quick to give free estimate and quick to send quote was on top of it the entire way and if I ever need them again I will call them first!needed new railing at front door
