PROBABLE FRAUD! We will no longer do business with this company. In the spring a technician named Jason came to do maintenance on our air conditioner. He added freon without our prior permission and then charged us $98. We thought this was just a misunderstanding. Jason came again on 10/30/2010 to do the maintenance on the furnace. He claimed he found a leak and shut down our furnace without permission. He told us we had to buy a new furnace due to carbon monoxide emissions. However, our carbon monoxide detector was not triggered. Due to our previous experience with Jason, we called another company for a second opinion. That techician found no major problem with our furnace and absolutely no carbon monoxide leak. We believe that the actions of Jason constitute fraud. He alleged a life-threatening problem that did not exist in an attempt to pressure us into an expensive new furnace.
Description of Work: We have used this company for about 15 years to maintain our furnace and air conditioner. They come in the spring and fall to do maintenance.

The person I spoke to indicated that they would let the technicians know about the time change. However, I received a call that Saturday morning indicating they were on their way & I told them I wouldn't be able to have them come out until 12. After waiting later that afternoon, I gave them a call to find out where they were. They told me that they had gotten really busy that afternoon and I would have to schedule another appointment. This is really difficult for me to do as I work 6 days a week, so I never called them back.
Description of Work: I had a brand new furnace installed and they put a new air conditioning unit in about two years ago. This Spring, I made an appointment for them to come out and make sure everything was still functioning. I made the appointment for a Saturday morning. I called them on Thursday to let them know I wouldn't be able to make the appointment at that time, that I would need them to come later that day.

THE TECH WAS VERY PROMPT. WE RECEIVED A REMINDER CALL THE NIGHT BEFORE AND WERE CONTACTED WITH AN EXPECTED ARRIVAL TIME ON THE MORNING OF THE APPOINTMENT. THE TECH WAS VERY PLEASANT AND OFFERED LOTS OF GOOD INFORMATION.
Description of Work: ANNUAL FURNACE INSPECTION AND CLEANING. TECHNICIAN WAS VERY POLITE AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED THE WORK THAT HE HAD PERFORMED. HIS INSPECTION INDICATED THAT THE FURNACE WAS IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION FOR THIS SEASON. HE INDICATED THAT ALL OF THE PARTS WERE ORIGINAL AND THAT SEVERAL ONLY HAD A FEW MORE YEARS OF LIFE, BUT THAT WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE THEM REPLACED FOR 2-3 YEARS.(UNLESS IT'S REALLY COLD WINTER AND THE FURNACE IS RUN MORE THAN USUAL.) THE TECH LEFT INFORMATION ON A MAINTENANCE SERVICE WHERE THEY WILL PERFORM SPRING AND FALL INSPECTIONS FOR A DISCOUNTED PRICE IF WE SIGN UP IN ADVANCE.
