Their estimate was way out of our budget, so we didn’t do with them. As a matter of fact, it wasn’t them. They were doing a number of houses in the area. It was that our budget didn’t match. I liked the guy that came out. He was very nice. The office people I spoke with were very nice and very easy to talk to. They got back to us in a timely manner. I can’t say anything against them. I have seen one of the houses at least. I drive by a lot, and it looks very nice. They came out very quickly for an estimate. I think they have been in the business for a long time. I would recommend other people to definitely have them out to see what they thought about the job and what was wrong and have them take a look at it. They were going to have him come by in a day or two. They had a spot free up, so he came by that afternoon. He came out sooner that we thought. He knew what he was talking about as were his office people. He was very patient. We walked up and down the alley looking at the backend of a couple of bungalows, so he could get an idea of what we liked and everything.

I found Jim through two friends of mine who used Walsh Custom Homes to build additions to their homes. Both friends highly recommended his company, so I contacted him to bid on my addition. I also checked with the Better Business Bureau and found that his company had a gold star rating. He was very quick to submit the bid and worked with me on price until I was comfortable with the bid. Construction went very smoothly -- Jim very patiently addressed all my questions big or small. The quality of the work was excellent and was done in a timely manner (excepting for the winter weather). Any problems that came up during construction were handled very competently without exceeding the budget of the original bid. In fact, Jim worked very hard with me to stay within our budget and we had no overages. I would highly recommend his company and would definitely contact him with future projects.
