I am pinching myself. My new countertops are beautiful. The people from Ultimate Stone knew what they were doing, and they used gorgeous materials. My ugly 45-year-old formica countertops were traded out for stunning granite, and now my kitchen looks great. Very happy about this project! I only wonder why I waited so long?

The quality of the work was very good. We recently finished a home renovation that put us on contact with a lot of different contractors and the two-man crew on the first service call really stood out for how personally invested they seemed in getting the job done right. They studied the color and material of the countertop first and then worked steadily to get all the repairs made. Nothing was ever rushed and they took their time to ensure the delicate work went well. (Like good physicians, they first did no harm.) The patches look very good. The second part of the job was trickier, repairing some scratching and scouring damage to a marble countertop. We'd actually had other services say there was nothing they could do. The first crew begged off, saying they needed to send someone else (which necessitated another $300 visit). Getting anyone to get in touch with me and to commit to coming back took a little extra communication. But they came through. The second visit was today, and again the technician was careful and did a very good job, seemed very committed to getting a good result. Overall, an "A" grade, and thank you again.

From beginning to end, Ultimate Stone (and Renata specifically) was the best contractor experience I had on my whole kitchen remodel. Renata sent me pictures (since I live out of state) of different granite options, arranged for measurement, coordinated sink receipt, cuts, delivery and installation. Very, very efficient. From beginning to end this took only a couple weeks and it would have been shorter if Ultimate hadn't needed to wait for the sink. Everything was exactly as represented. It went so smoothly that I had them install 2 other countertops. The price above was for all 3. They were priced much more attractively than the competition and all three counters turned out beautifully. I had these installed in rental units and tenants are thrilled. I plan on going back for a 4th counter when I tackle the remaining unit.

Supplier was prompt, courteous and professional. However, although a quote for granite countertops was provided, the main reason for contacting the supplier was to obtain measurements which I never received.

They were very friendly, professional, neat and thorough. The countertops are beautiful and were done quickly at a reasonable price. I would use them again and recommend them to friends.

Renata provided detailed technical guidance on my first visit and subsequently was prompt and timely in communicating project status. The installers arrived promptly and did a detail oriented job cleaning up behind them and taking great care in protecting our home. My wife and I love our new countertops! After ordering new appliances and thinking I measured the openings correctly, I panicked after having our new refrigerator delivered and it wouldn't fit the opening between the side board and cabinetry! I contacted several different companies to get estimates in trimming back our granite countertop (that overhangs the cabinets) and was stunned with the amount I was being quoted but other companies. I remembered Angie's List and decided to search here - I am SO glad I did. After reading all of the great reviews for Ultimate Stone, I decided to contact them. Ultimate Stone was quick to return my call, and Kamila was incredibly helpful. She asked me to send pictures so they could come up with a more accurate quote - which I was happy to do. She answered all of my questions and consulted with her technicians if she wasn't sure of an answer, and always got back to me quickly. Once I decided to proceed with Ultimate Stone, they were able to squeeze us into their schedule quickly (since it was a small job), and the technicians that showed up were excellent. They were on time (and called to give me a 30 minute heads up), courteous, performed the work quickly, and cleaned up everything afterwards. They even trouble-shooted an issue with the wood trim that was causing a complication, and quickly resolved the issue even though it wasn't related to the granite. They were great!!! My whole experience, from start to finish, with Ultimate Stone was excellent. I highly recommend them and will absolutely go back to them should we have any additional granite/stonework needs!!

Everything was great! Very professional service. Kamila was very good in listening to our needs and providing a quick response. She was also very accessible via telephone and in person at the store. The only thing that was a negative was - after the installation, our dishwasher could not be operated upon - we had to call a plumber to fix the water/drain connections. There was a drainage pipe leak immediately after the countertop was installed. For installation of the countertop and kitchen sink, Ultimate Stone had to disconnect all plumbing, remove existing sink, etc. After installation of the granite countertop and new undermount kitchen sink, the dishwasher connections were not made properly - which resulted in water seeping through into the basement after we ran the dishwasher a couple of times. had to call a plumber to fix the problem. However, the finished countertop and kitchen sink looks fantastic. I am happy about the end result.

I managed to crack off a piece of my granite kitchen countertop, a triangular piece about 6" on a side. I contacted Ultimate Stone to see if it could be repaired or if they had recommendations on how to deal with the situation. After a little back-and-forth with photos over email, they determined that it was likely fixable and we scheduled for it to be repaired the next week. The guys were scheduled to be at my house between 8 and 9 AM. That works great as that work into my normal morning schedule and I don't have to adjust my morning routine. I left my alarm as normal (I don't start work 'til 9, so I wake up later than most). I never got to hear my alarm, as they called early and said they were on the way and would be there at 7:30. +1 for not being late, -2 for not sticking to the committed time frame. Not enough to complain about but made me rush, threw my morning routine off and resulted in the B for "punctuality". The repair went smoothly and quickly and looks great. The workers were capable and courteous. I have already recommended them to a friend.

After researching Angie's List I felt that there were enough people pleased with Ultimate Stone, Inc to give them a try. We drove to the showroom and Martin assisted us by explaining the difference between Granite and Marble. I asked about the Deal on Angie's List. There were only a few choices of granite, but I was able to pick something I liked. I was pleased with the price and the deal. We then set up a time for them to come out and measure. Martin came to measure. He is very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. He suggested a few things we do such as extending the size of the granite top over the island...great idea! The person who was our main contact was Renata...this woman knows her stuff and she always returned calls and emails promptly. Since my husband and I work during the week they came to measure AND install on a Saturday. We appreciated that! When we were in the showroom we talked for a while with the owner, Damien and he also was very knowledgeable. He makes sure his team are very customer focused. They installed the countertops within an hour and they are absolutely beautiful. We are so pleased. Our first experience with Ultimate Stone was wonderful. I felt very comfortable throughout the entire process that they measured correctly and the countertops would be perfect....and they were!!

I am updating 2 kitchens in a 3 flat I own. The granite installation was the simplest and best execution of all of the trades that have been in. I purchased an Angie's list coupon for $1499 for up to 40 sf of granite. It should be noted that there are specific colors to choose from for this promotion but the variety is sufficient that it was easy to find an appropriate granite. I called Ultimate and spoke to Renata. She has gracefully assisted me every step of the way. Ultimate came out to measure and it was determined that I have more that 40 sf and I was informed of the additional charge. I ended up not opting for the back splash and that brought the cost down a bit. This is a great deal since it also includes sink cutout and faucet cutout, both items are often extra charges at other providers. I ordered a new undermount sink and Renata suggested I have it shipped directly to Ultimate so they could easily cut the sink hole. Everything went smoothly and the counter was installed within days of my initial contact. It looks great. I was so pleased that I contacted Renata for the second kitchen's counter and that too was installed without issues. The $4000 includes both kitchen counters as well as a substantial island in 1 of the units. Some other providers were quoting $4000 for a single kitchen. All in all this was an excellent experience and I will definitely call Ultimate when I am ready to undertake the 3rd unit.

Excellent. The price was outstanding and so has been the service. What was important to us was turnaround time and they told us 7-8 days and it was done in that time frame.

I'm located in rural Rockford, so naturally I started searching for either granite or quartz counter tops close by ... in Rockford, Loves Park, Belvidere and Rochelle. A friend recommended I drive to Elk Grove Village and check out Ultimate Stone and my only regret is that I wasted so much time before making the trip. First of all, it took exactly one hour from Rockford to their showroom, even with a bit of traffic, it couldn't have been easier. I thought (after all my searching) that I knew exactly what I wanted, but Ivonka heard me and then suggested I look at a piece of quartz in their warehouse. It was perfect and the most "natural stone" looking quartz I'd seen. Within two days they had come out to measure and wanted to install exactly one week later! The big box stores in Rockford had quoted 6+ weeks before they could get around to installation, so I couldn't believe their speed. Installation was a breeze (at least for me)..the guys were punctual, professional and pretty darned happy. It was good to see that in workers. Highly recommend! (Oh, and the price was $2,000-$3,000 lower than my others!)

There were some minor issues but overall Ultimate Stone did a very good job. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.

They were great. The customer service was excellent from beginning to end. The work was done promptly, professionally and beautifully! Workers cleaned up everything and left kitchen sparkling clean. Definately would use again!

Ultimate Stone is great for installing granite counter tops. The deal saved me money. I went to the warehouse and verified the stone type. Then we setup the appointment to come out and measure. They called ahead of time and followed up over email. When the installation date came, they continued to call ahead and arrive on time. It was a really simple process.

Damien and his team are amazing. Very responsive, detail oriented and extremely professional. Our new counter tops are gorgeous. Damien spent a lot of time with my wife and me reviewing all our options and choosing what made most sense for us. Our custom tile backslash instillation was immaculate - it was done with such precision and professionalism by a true craftsman. It is the highlight of our kitchen. Our kitchen is the Ultimate! Damian and staff were prompt with cost estimates, measuring and return emails/calls. They allowed us to see the stone before they cut it to ensure it was the correct stone and if there were areas we wanted to avoid on the finished countertops. They had a large selection of remnants to choose from as well. We wanted a non-polished granite and they knew exactly how to finish the edges to complement the non-shiny surface of the stone. They also made recommendations on how best to edge the stone for the style we were looking for. They have experience in every kind of stone, so you can feel confident that they won't ruin the slab you choose, nor will they try to steer you away from what you truly want. All measurements were spot on. There were no issues with anything being the wrong size and installation went smoothly and quickly. Their workers were quick, knowledgable and neat. Almost six months later, all countertops are in great condition and we have no issues. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend Ultimate Stone.

They were punctual and professional. They cleaned up. They did a nice job on the installing. The guy that came out to measure was good and the installer was good. Everybody was great. I would recommend them for their selection and price.

After researching Consumers Report to seek out the best material to replace my kitchen counters I went into Angie's List for referrals. Ultimate Stone was highly regarded by past customers. My husband and I visited their showroom, took along photos of the counters to be replaced and measurements. Renata was very informative and showed us many samples. We also went into the large back work area where the stone is cut and were able to see a large slab of the quartz material that we selected. A gentleman came out to our home to measure, asked many questions and made many suggestions. We had our new counter tops in less than a week. The installers were quick, courteous and did a great job. From the time of our first visit to installation was just short of two weeks.

Fabulous! Ivonka, sent us a reply to an email inquiry right away, three other companies never even responded to my request for information. Ivonka then gave us three stone yards to visit and pick out our tile. After we made our selection, her estimate was prompt and understandable. Our measurement was scheduled right after we selected the stone and only one week after measuring the installation was complete! Ivonka called us to remind us of her service people's arrival. She called to follow up to see if we were happy. She is a great representative for this company!!!! Our home is in Sawyer MI, so they had to travel over an hour to get to our house. The service technicians were prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable and cleaned up after the work.It looks beautiful and this company was great to work with. I would highly recommend them.
