He provided an estimate in a timely manner, and when I was ready to have the work done, I contacted the company, they scheduled a time, and they completed the work. The only real wait was with the city permits.

Our garage floor and driveway were in bad shape, with large cracks and some areas off-level by an inch or two. We got a good impression from Tyrone during his estimate. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and the price he quoted was in line with other estimates. TMW removed our existing garage floor, driveway, and backyard walkway, and replaced them with properly laid concrete. Unfortunately, while the driveway concrete was still setting, one or more individuals decided to vandalize it by writing names in it. Tyrone nicely stopped by with a grinding stone to fix it up as best he could, but there was no way to make it look perfect at that point. Sometime in February, after the harsh winter, we noticed that one of the large driveway slabs next to the alley developed a long hairline crack. I asked Tyrone about it and he explained that, due to the freeze / thaw cycle and some other factors, hairline cracks do occasionally occur, but that the embedded mesh should keep it from widening. That appears to be the case, as we haven't noticed the crack grow since then. We were happy with the work and the price, and would hire TMW again.

Tyrone was very responsive in getting us a bid. Although we were delayed a bit due to all of the rain we had, the overall experience was excellent from start to finish. He was able to match the color beautifully and the repair is excellent.

The TMW estimate to replace the concrete driveway was the best estimate we received. We had a personal friend complete the work for about the same price.

Tyrone responded quickly and gave me an estimate within a few days for removing and replacing my driveway and sidewalks. He was very upfront on what he could and could not do. After we got the permit i didn't hear from him for several weeks, then he called and said he had had a cancellation and could be there the next day. His workmen did a beautiful job on the concrete and were very careful of my surrounding landscaping. He added some decorative elements I did not expect that made it exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and professional.

They were excellant . They were neat , professional and did an amazing job. They did a california finish on the concrete that was fantastic. The job that Tryone did was so great that he recieved 3 other jobs in the neighborhood

Tyrone and TMW are the real deal as far as concrete work goes. I think that is what most people want to know and be reassured of when they hire someone. All other reports are accurate. Tyrone is willing to spend the extra time to explain the intricacies of the profession so one might be better able to choose between options. He also has a flair for design if that is warranted. His price was middle of the road but his work is excellent.

I would be using them. He took a little more time at the house to explain things and I especially liked the price he gave us. They gave us a bid online but it was the price focus that was on him. I feel the communication has been lacking from his end. I had to call him a couple of times to check with him when the job would be started. He was asking me to give him a call in a couple of weeks. They couldn’t do the job because it's been raining so much. He asked me to give him a call in a couple of weeks to set up a schedule and it just feels like it is getting dragged down a bit. I think he is backed up with all the work that he couldn't do because of the rains. It took him about 2-3 weeks after we called him to come out. I am actually impressed that he did actually come out at the time we set up. It is just taken a while since we got the quote.

He was excellent. He was very punctual. The job was done very well. I’m happy with the end product. I would use him again in the future if need be.

Tyrone the owner was personally involved from the estimate to final product. Due to the heavy rain this spring, the concrete pour had to get reschedule several times, but Tyrone kept us informed every step of the way. The work crew arrived at the time promised and finished promptly. The work crew took extra care to prevent damage to my lawn and plants adjacent to the stairs. As expected the new concrete looks great, but we were really impressed with the skim coating. We did not feel pressured to take his bid and we thought he was very honest in answering all our questions and to deal with overall. I would recommend his services.

What a great experience! Tyrone not only had the best price but also had the best ideas. I told what we wanted and gave him the initial idea and he took it a bit farther using his experience and the project came out much better then I initially expected. He and his crew were very professional and clean, and surprisingly very quick. He was priced thousands lower two other contractors and was a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him for anyone in my family or friends. I will definitely use him again when I have another project!

I received estimates from three companies, and two of the three were very close. I chose TMW because Tyrone, the owner, was so helpful in explaining procedures to me. He was very personable and stayed in contact with me before, during, and after the project. He knows the concrete business. Unlike the other contractors, he explained how the concrete needed to be slanted away from the building so water would drain away. He pointed out that the awning was dripping on the old concrete steps causing their deterioration. He made sure there were no concrete splatters on the exterior of the home. He was a "hands-on" type of contractor that I found very reassuring. It was an excellent experience! I would use this company again.

Tyrone did exactly what we wanted he recommended a California finish which looks great Tyrone took care of the permit process and dealt with the inspector without a hitch. We were very satisfied.

Great experience from start to finish!

Already had scheduled work to be done in June of 2010 after having TMW form and pour a new concrete patio at the back of the house in November 2009. Full replacement of the existing entry walkway wasn't planned but prior to start of work in discussion with Tyrone the reasonable price and idea of total removal of our existing walkway (some lifting and sinking already occurring) and having a totally new poured walkway was decided. This would give our home a 'complete look' in having an all new driveway, two walkways, and back patio having been completed within a six month period. As with previous work by TMW all aspects of the job went well! It was known that some problems might be encountered with an underground lawn sprinkler line and underground roof drainage system under the entryway walkway and indeed both were damaged but quickly and properly repaired by TMW! My wife and I have been very pleased with the work performed in each case with Tyrone and his staff in our projects and now have a smaller project we're trying to set up with Tyrone in 2011!!

We had rounded steps and a landing added to the front entrance way. The old brick-on -concrete stairs had deteriorated dangerously after 15 years. Tyrone was great! He's innovative and knows his stuff. The crew was great and efficent. All around , a very positive experience. I highly reccomend him.

Very well. Tyrone was very professional and his price was competitive. Based on my experience, I believe Tyrone can be trusted to do what is right for the customer and would suggest using him over the competition. Tyrone was excellent at being prompt and communicating, where others I spoke with had very poor follow up. Not to mention, he did an outstanding job, sealing my stamped concrete driveway.

It was a great experience. I chose them partly based on what I read on the Angie's List website. The owner is a nice guy but pretty persistent. A lot of it had to do with his persistence. The pricing was very good also. Having chosen him, he was extremely accommodating and had some great ideas. I was overall very happy with how things worked out. They were very accommodating. The quality of the work was excellent. They were more than fair on their pricing. I would use them again in the future if I ever needed to.

They came over and looked at the job. They said that they would call me back with an estimate but they never got back to me. They called me back to apologise after I wrote a report on them on Angie's List but they never got back to me with an estimate as they got to know that I did not want to do this project with them as it had taken too long and other things had come up. I did not get what I wanted. They did not respond and they did not give an estimate. However, they were there when they said that they were going to be there.

I ended up being disappointed with TMW's finished product! I believed that I would be getting a quality job for the money that was being paid to TMW Paving. My initial meeting with Tyrone Ward went very well. I received 3 proposals from companies on Angie's List. I chose TMW Paving for 2 reasons. Tyrone gave us the best price and I felt confident with him because he spent a lot of time with me discussing our project. He answered all of my questions and seemed very knowledgeable. On October 4, 2010, Tyrone's crew began our project by breaking up and removing all of our existing driveway and sidewalks. Everything was hauled away and the new driveway and sidewalks were formed. I did not see Tyrone on Monday because he had an important family commitment. His crew worked well together and it looked like everything was going fine. I did notice that one of his crew ( I believe his name is Ozzie) spent a huge amount of time on his cell phone. I could see that he was both texting and talking on his phone. I have had a large amount of work done on our home in the last 4 months, and I have never seen a worker on his phone so much. In fact, everytime that I went outside to ask him a question, he was on his cell phone. Being that Tyrone was not present on that day, Ozzie was the person I needed to speak with about any concerns. I even mentioned this to Tyrone the next day, and he wasn't bothered in the slightest about this information. After looking at the formed sidewalks, my husband and I decided that we wanted the front sidewalk to be wider. It was too narrow, especially at the curve. I asked Tyrone to come to our home on Tuesday to talk with us about it. He came over and we showed him where we wanted the sidewalk forms to be moved to. He told us that his crew would change the forms the next morning, prior to putting the wire reinforcement down for the driveway. On Wednesday, 10/6/10, his crew arrived and did move the forms on the front sidewalk and then put the wire down on the driveway. They waited for the concrete truck to arrive and began pouring the new sidewalks and driveway. It looked like everything was going well, and I enjoyed watching this whole process. After the 2nd concrete truck arrived, they worked to complete the walks and driveway by doing the California finish on them. I really liked this finish! Later that afternoon, I was standing in my garage watching his crew completing their tasks. His men had decided to use our front hose (right next to our front sidewalk) to wash off their tools. They used pieces of wood over the sidewalk to stretch the hose onto the front yard. As I was watching, one of his men tripped over a piece of wood while jumping over the sidewalk. I WAS SHOCKED AS I WATCHED A PIECE OF WOOD FALL DOWN ONTO THE NEWLY POURED CONCRETE!! They picked it up and proceeded to use different tools, including a broom, on the spot where the wood had fallen. I hoped that it would be OK, because I believed that they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, our new front sidewalk no longer looked beautiful. Due to their carelessness, we had smudges from the trowel and scratchy looking lines from the broom on one section of the sidewalk. These men also dripped water from our hose on to another section of our freshly poured concrete. So, there were obvious water spots on the sidewalk. I wanted to scream at these men after this, but I did not. Tyrone was not present at our home when all of this happened. He comes and goes throughout the whole project, rather than staying with his crew. Later that afternoon, Tyrone arrived and stayed for awhile inspecting the job. I was still hoping that our front sidewalk would look good, because to be honest, I don't know much about concrete curing. I thought it might be a temporary situation. Tyrone never said anything to me, even though he saw the problem with the sidewalk. His crew finished up the rest of the driveway and did their best to pick up falling leaves. They borrowed our leaf blower to help with leaf removal on the wet concrete. A few days later, I called Tyrone Ward to talk with him about the sidewalk. I told him how disappointed my husband and I were with the pour quality of the finish. I told Tyrone exactly what I had observed when the wood fell. He told me that he had seen the sidewalk and wondered what had gone wrong, BUT HE NEVER ASKED HIS CREW WHAT HAPPENED. I find that to be very upsetting that he did not speak to his men about it. During my lengthy conversation with Tyrone, he constantly refered to his crew as "my guys".These men were very careless, resulting in a less than quality job for us. His crew made this mistake and never even told him about it. Tyrone finally said that he was sorry that it had happened, but that his men made a mistake at a time in the concrete curing process where nothing could be done to fix it. I told Tyrone that his men never should have touched my hose which was right next to the newly poured concrete. I have a hose in the backyard that they could have used to wash their tools. Not one of the crew asked me if I had another hose, yet they earlier asked to borrow an extension cord and our leaf blower. It was a series of mistakes that caused this. First, the decision to use our front hose, second the decision to build a wood bridge to stretch over the wet sidewalk and third, one of the men's decision to jump over the wooden bridge instead of walking around our bushes to the other side of the sidewalk. TMW'S CREW DEFINITELY DOES NOT TREAT THE CUSTOMER'S PROPERTY WITH RESPECT! They also broke at least 3 different branches off of shrubs near the work areas. Tyrone needs to act like a boss to these men, rather than like one of "my guys". I think that he is too laid back with his crew and does not set high expectations for them while they are working on a project at a customer's home. Tyrone is very knowledgeable about everything about concrete, but he needs to run his company in a more professional manner. SO, THE END RESULT IS THAT WE ARE STUCK WITH A FRONT SIDEWALK THAT IS LESS THAN APPEALING AND WE GET TO LOOK AT IT FOREVER!!

Tyrone is very organized and thorough. He is a pleasure to work with! I am extremely happy with my new driveway.

The owner is extremely professional. I wouldn't say the price was a deal, but the quality that comes with it was exceptional. I would say I got my money's worth.

Overall, it went well, despite some problems (which is always the case with any home improvement project in my experience). Tyrone is very responsive and professional. There were some problems in the pouring of the concrete - the concrete truck hit the wooden form and busted it open. It resulted in two steps not being completely level. Tyrone was honest with us about the mistake and gave us a discount for that since it could not be fixed without repouring all of the concrete. The truck incident also resulted in several spots on the risers of the steps not filling in properly with concrete. Tryone patched these spots - it took several weeks and many attempts to get the large patches to blend with the rest of the concrete, but he did not stop working on the problem until we were satisfied. The small concrete walkway is a slightly different color than the stairs, but it blends. It was poured on a different day and the concrete mix was not identical to the stair mixture. If this is an issue for you, you may want to ask Tyrone how to deal with that in advance so that you do not have two different colors of concrete in very close proximity. Tyrone also worked with us through many attempts at matching the colors. Ultimately, it is acceptable to us now, but I wish that I had known in advance that two different colors is a possibility. The overall outcome is very lovely. The pattern on the stamped concrete is exactly what I wanted and the color is very nice. Tyrone is very professional and easy to work with. We had paid him in full before realizing that there were problems - he held our check for 3 weeks and did not deposit it until we officially released it when we were happy. I would definitely work with Tyrone again. He is very honest and a pleasure to work with.

Tyrone and his team didn an excellent job. He scheduled an appointment quickly, reviewed the requirements and provided excellent information on what needed to be done and how he and his team would accomplish it. They showed up on time, and completed the removal of the existing concrete and setting the forms for the new concrete. Tyrone worked with the village inspector on a few code issues (not related to the concrete work, but to work previously done by the former home owner) and was able to correct the issue through the new installation. His team was courteous, professional and focused. It's always good when you work with someone who is passionate about his job. Tyrone has a passion for concrete, and shares that. He is always willing to answer questions about the process, and takes pride in completing a quality job. We were very pleased with the results and would go directly to him for any future work that we would need completed.

They were very cost effective and they did a great job. They worked with us to figure out what we needed. They delivered what we had requested. They did the work in a very timely manner and were very organized. The cleanup could have been a little bit better. Overall, it was very pleasant.
