Mark was very professional from the start - he met with my husband and I and started planning out our vision. He was able to fit us in sooner than he originally said which was great because I had guests coming in early October and the bathroom was done in time. Mark gave me a fair quote and once they got started I had workmen in my house for about 2 weeks. The workers were friendly and they kept the place clean. I was very happy with the end result and recommended Mark to anther friend who used him for their basement rehab. We are now hiring him to do our kitchen.

I give them A's on all areas except maybe a for price. Not that I have anything against them but based on the prices, I would not use them.

The work was done on time - when I called I asked when it could be done and how long it would take, and so it came to be. About two days all told, all of one day and parts of two others. I didn't get any other estimates, which is why I marked Price as N/A. Our house is 100 years old this year and I was worried that they'd have problems as they went along (finding unpleasant surprises) but if they did they didn't complain about it. They worked quickly and cleaned up as they went, keeping a vacuum cleaner right nearby that they used many times. They were also good about not letting our dog escape through the backyard gate :)

I contacted 3 firms based on Angie's reviews. One did not return call and two firms gave me bids within a week. We chose Modern View and we gave Mark the go ahead on 3/3 - one week later they started on the job. Two men worked long days and finished the job in 3 days. This was a 50 year old bathroom that had never been remodeled. They removed all fixtures, old tin tile on wall, floor tiles and window. The old leaky window was replaced by a glass block window with vent. Porcelin tile went on the walls around the shower and on the floor. New bathtub, toilet and vanity/sink. Added a ceiling light/fan - there was no light on the ceiling before and also a gfi outlet (no outlet before). Bathroom looks fantastic! Workers were skilled, hard working and courteous. They cleaned up at the end of each day. Would definitely use Modern View again.

Removed existing vanity, toilet, mirror, light, and floor tile. Repaired sub-floor and laid new tile. Installed new baseboards. Prepped and painted walls, ceiling, and baseboards. Installed new vanity, mirror, toilet, exhaust fan, light, and accessories. Work was performed in the time frame given. A few minor quality problems were fixed in a very timely manner. Communication with "helper" who was on job site three days was difficult (very little English) but Mark (owner) was easy to contact. Overall we are pleased with the work and results.

Stayed on schedule and did a professional job. Did not test the bidet after installation to make sure it worked and it did not. Notified Mark of problem and he spent lots of time dealing with the Manufacturer to determine the problem which turned out to be defective product. He came back to install the 2nd bidet which also was determined to be defective. Again, very patient and not his fault but he did the hard work of making the calls to the manufacturer and it was much appreciated. I doubt we would have gotten 2 duds successfully returned without his help.

Mark was top-notch from our first meeting. He arrived on time and was quite professional in drawing up his bid. We had contacted two other contractors from Angie's List and his was the lowest bid. There was some difficulty in getting a style of countertop to match the existing countertop on the other side of the kitchen. Mark kept me abreast of what was happening as soon as he received word. We ran into some unexpected structural issues after the old cabinets were ripped out but Mark creatively found a solution that worked well. Work was still completed in 3 days despite the problems we encountered.

I joined Angie's list to look for a GC. Called this company and after 4wks never heard from them.

Excellent service. Mark's team was really professional, always on time and nice. Competitive prices. My wife and I were pleased. This was my Christmas' gift to her. Highly recommend!!!

He came on time and even followed up. Mark did all the work himself. He came out initially to provide an estimate. I chose all of the paint colors. He came back to finish the job in one day. The only additional costs were for the paint. I thought that the price was very good. Overall, he did a great job.

He had a deal for $999 for 1800 square feet, so I bought two of them. The quality was great.

Found them via ANGIE'S LIST and they were rated well. Mark was extremely professional and knowledgeable. First we told him what we wanted to do and he recommended some excellent changes. The job entailed tearing down 2 walls that were an office, to open up the kitchen. They completely stripped out the old kitchen (saving the appliances, which were fairly new) and tore down the office walls. They had to create a supporting beam where the one wall was and we worked with Mark where best to place all the appliances, chose cabinets, and the full layout; his help was outstanding! If left up to what we had originally planned, we would NOT have been happy with the end results, again we cannot thank Mark enough for his recommendations! They did everything from getting the permits, doing all the NEW electrical work (bringing some of the old electrical to code), reworking the plumbing, new drywall, painting the whole space, installing all the new cabinets, and most importantly installing the new flooring; outstanding workmanship! I will be calling and recommending Mark for any work on a kitchen and wouldn't hesitate for a bathroom either! Great crew!

The guy who came walked around my place and quoted me an estimate for over $4000, which was not even including doing my bathroom which had wallpaper in it and to just take that down he quoted would be an additional $600. While he was here there were 2 guys who were installing/working on my garbage disposal. They overheard the conversation and stated that, that was ridiculous. What was so ridiculous about the whole situation was that I diligently measured my walls, not including my windows (which are fairly large) and he stated to me that even though the windows were not being painted that they are included in the estimate he gave me. So I ended up having someone else do the job for only $1700.

Absolutely fantastic. Demo'd two baths (a large one and a tiny one) to the studs and remodeled both. Beautiful work. For the large bath, I chose my products and emailed the choices to Mark. I was given a price range for all the choices and he bought everything (included in the price). He provided new 85" vanity solution with 85" granite counters, double sinks, waterfall faucets, toilet, tub, new shower fixtures, 18" floor tile on the diagonal and 12" in shower, paint, lighting, etc. Everything. He even demo'd the soffits in the bathtub to raise the ceiling, built in an 18" nook for shower products. This bathroom was 45 years old and in terrible shape and required new pipes and subflooring to stop a leak. It is gorgeous now. For the second bathroom, the tiny one, I chose to buy some of the products myself (100 sq ft of tile, faucets, toilet, shower door, and light fixture). He provided labor and all other products needed for tub to walk-in shower conversion, plumbing, electrical whatever. This bath had horrible water pressure which was fixed with new pipes. Went from a little kids, outdated bath to a beautiful walkin shower tile bath, custom nooks, beautiful glass tile accents etc. - can't believe it's the same room. Mark's crew was prompt, reliable, on time and in budget. Great work. Highly recommend.

Awful As an update to my previous review, Mark did finally send an estimate for the job. Coincidentally, it was a day after my first review. I'm going to assume that this was truly a coincidence, though, and give Mark the benefit of the doubt. I did, as a result of him sending an estimate, update my review. Because of his lack of professionalism, though, I would never hire him. I wish I had encountered the person that so many other reviewers had but, unfortunately, I did not.

They responded to my call the next day, and were able to fit me in within 2 weeks. They did a great job. Were on time, and cleaned up after themselves. Very pleased.

There was something going on that I wasn't ready for them so they had to come back and they didn't have a problem coming back. One guy did everything. I had a good report with them and I didn't have any problems. The price was reasonable.
