My condo unit was in need of some ceiling drywall repair due to water damage from a leaking roof over the winter. After calling Impress Painting for an estimate, Wally was timely in his response and his ability to stop by for the estimate. Wally and his employee, Karl, were punctual every day on the job and were extremely diligent. In fact, I would say Wally is a perfectionist...in a good way. While he was the doing the repair, he was pointing out and correcting mistakes the original contractors made. Wally and Karl were very good about wrapping everything in plastic and using drop-cloths to protect our furniture, countertops, etc. from debris and dust, and they were also pretty thorough regarding clean-up after the job was done. In all, the job included "exploratory" drywall investigation to check for moisture/mold concerns, drywall replacement, taping, mudding, and painting. Both gentlemen were pleasant, professional, and very easy to talk to. I asked a bunch of questions along the way, but both guys always took the time out to properly answer them. Only concern that I had during the process was Wally's lead time in being able to start the job because of his backlog and the two of us coordinating schedules. But I guess if you are good at what you do, you are in demand...so I understand that and cannot reflect negatively upon that. Overall, I would highly recommend Wally and his company, Impress Painting, for any drywall and painting concerns.

They showed up early and worked late. I had a side project of pulling down a wall, so they worked around my schedule, and came back when I was done. I was very pleased with the job they both worked on, and would hire them again in an instant.

Scheduling the work was a challenge because of my work and Wally's projects, but we were able to get it on our calendars. The men were on time each day and worked full days to complete the project. They were both courteous and a pleasure to work with. If there was ever a question about what I wanted, they would ask before proceeding. Wally gave suggestions about what we could do with the lighting in the kitchen. We will follow upon that sometime in the future. We will have them back to paint our hall and dining room in 2014. We were very happy with Impress Painting and would recommend the company to friends and family.

Wally and his partner arrived promptly and worked diligently for 12 hours, finishing the projects to perfection. He kept the areas clean, asked clarifying questions to make sure he was doing what I wanted, and stayed within his already competitive estimate. Impress will be my first choice next time I need painting and/or drywall repair!

Wally and his assistant were absolutely terrific. They installed new drywall in our cathedral ceiling from having had insulation sprayed in and not only can you not see where the patching is, the entire ceiling looks brand new. They also patched up a corner in the kitchen, fixed nail pops, filled nail holes, etc... As good as the drywall work is, the painting is even better. The assistant told us that Wally is a perfectionist, and he's right. I'm an artist and I have a keen eye for detail, and I'll be darned if I can find a single thing out of place. Not a single run or drip or brushstroke. It's really beautiful work. It's all perfect. Honestly, I'm a little afraid to hang pictures now because it's so pretty. They were always on time, alway courteous, always meticulously clean, and always professional. I'm definitely having Wally back out to do more work in the future.

Wally & Carl were very punctual and dedicated to doing an excellent job. They made sure the job site was cleaned up after every work day and asked questions for clarity to make sure the job was done to our satisfaction. The finished product was better than I had anticipated, a great job. All furniture was replaced after completion of the job. I would be glad to use their services again in the future. They turned a ice dam disaster into a great looking kitchen.

Wally did almost all of the work on his own. He brought a couple employees for some of the prep work. Wally put in long hours and did an amazing, professional job. His attention to detail and patience with the job was very impressive. He was courteous to our belongings and took care in making sure doorways were sectioned off so dust wouldn't leave the workspace. He offered professional suggestions on which areas to paint and how it should be finished. Most importantly, we could tell he took pride in completing at a very professional level. I would recommend Wally to anyone and will most likely use him for future jobs.

A three team crew led by 'Wally' arrived timely in the morning and worked the bulk of the day. What impressed me was how well they prepared surfaces to be painted and masked off everything. They applied two coats of paint and at the end of each day cleaned up beautifully. I have done a lot of painting myself so I think I have some basis to judge painting quality. My personal limitation is the iinability to do plastering and work on the two story hallway. That is why I contacted them in the first place. They were very professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend that anyone needing wallpaper stripping, plastering, or painting work should consider their services.

We waited at home for three hours for an 11;00 appointment. At about 11: 30 or so we called to see if they were coming. We got them on the phone and after explaining who we were they said they forgot about the appointment. Since Monday's are only days were are not at work we tried to reschedule later in the day. He said he could not do it at the time we requested.

Wally is a true project manager. He makes sure that quality is always top of mind when he and his crew are painting each of the rooms. He personally stayed plenty of late nights painting to make sure that the timeline that was promised was met. He gets an A+ for customer service. He always took the time after each day to review what was done and outlined the areas that the team still needed to finish. He would then ask us if there were any improvements that could be made to the rooms that were completed. We were actually moving in while Wally was finishing the job and he offered to touch up anything that was dinged through the move in free of charge. We also placed brand new carpet in the basement that he already painted and also offered to touch up any of the areas that may have been scratched from the carpet installation. He really wants you to feel as though your home looks the best it can. We even had to have a plumber come to our house and open up the ceiling to fix a leak the first day of the job. I was fully expecting that he would have to charge me to fix the ceiling but he fixed the ceiling and stuck to the price that he originally quoted me. Again I can't stress enough how impressed we were with Wally and his crew. We definitely will use him again and refer him to others. I have had numerous other painters in the homes that I moved into and Wally and his team produced the best results and experience of any of them. He not only beat the others on price but when I add the quality factor in and customer satisfaction there is no one I would go to in the future other than him and his team.

He was very professional. He even helped us in the resolution process from the poor workmanship that arose from the drywall repairs from a different provider. He is a perfectionist!

Wally was very professional. We communicated via text message. Set up an appointment for Saturday. After fixing the holes in my drywall, Wally told me that he performs work as if he was doing it at his own house. He wants it to look great and do professional work. He told me he couldn't not do his best work given the time left on Saturday to paint. So he came out Monday, spent all day painting the bathroom. I learned a lot from him. He mentioned previous owners did not sand/prime before painting and showed me how I can tell. He did a thorough job, and the bathroom looks fabulous. Great guy, very friendly, and a hard and professional worker. Would definitely recommend him to anyone in the Chicago Area. I plan on having him come back this Summer to fix some ceiling issues in my family room. A++

Wally did an excellent job. He cleaned up to himsel and kept any dust and debris to a minimum. His price for the work was very competitive.

It went GREAT, Wally was punctual, covered everything in both bathrooms and if you walked into them after he finished, you would not know how bad the walls were. He primed the walls skim coated and patched as needed, sanded, primed again and then put on two coats of paint and the walls look great. I already told my sister that if she needed someone to work on her house, to call Wally. A very nice guy who is skilled at patching and wall repair and painting.

Wally of Impress painting did an great job on a difficult job. He was very meticulous during the estimation/proposal process--looking very carefully at everything and measuring and asking lots of questions. He was also incredibly thorough and meticulous in the prep work for the painting (which is the most important part) and did things above-and-beyond such as when he discovered that the previous owner's do-it-yourself ceiling drywall installation had used the wrong kind of screws that would end up causing the drywall to eventually sag and crack, Impress Painting went through and replaced all the screws that were holding up the drywall!!!! That is just one example. There was a *ton* of patching etc. to do because I had a lot of electrical and plumbing work that had been done and also a leak from the floor above that the ceiling had a hole in it. No problem!--you would never know any of that was there because the walls and ceiling are so smooth due to the good prep work. Very good communication about when workers would be there. Very good clean-up. No extra charges or anything--everything happened just exactly according to the proposal and if there was any "extra" work such as the replacing of the screws mentioned above, it was just done with no extra charge as part of doing a good job. I am going to get more work done in the summer and will definitely use Impress Painting again!

It has been quite a while since I had any painting done and I had forgotten how dusty it can be. Make sure you cover anything that you don't want to clean later.

Look no further for your next painter. Waldemar is the best. He and Joseph (his assistant) exhibited all the qualities that you want in a home contractor. They were always on-time. They were careful (using the appropriate floor coverings, taping, and plastic sheeting) to protect my house from unnecessary damage. The price quoted was fair for the job, but the quality of work far exceeded my expectations and have gained my trust as reputable, honest, and super diligent workers. I would rehire them in a heartbeat for my next job. Remember, that the lowest price doesn't guarantee you the best results. In home improvements - you get what you pay for. (Waldemar is very competitive in price) I have already recommended him to family and friends due to his professionalism and work ethic.

Wally was very prompt in coming out to do an estimate for the above work. I had another contractor come out for the new drywall installation but he didn't do any painting. Wally did everything we needed done. Our walls were also in bad shape and he and his crew made them look like they were brand new. I wanted to do the one wall with a texture and Wally went all out to get the type of texture we wanted. They did an exceptional job. They made sure everything was covered and taped where needed so that the sanding dust was contained. I would highly recommed Impress Painting, Inc. to anyone.

Impress Painting, Inc. did a fantastic job. All of the walls are now beautiful and smooth as silk. They look brand new! I also appreciated their care of our home. They were very careful not to make a mess and cleaned up after their work each day. They showed up on time and worked very hard. We are so pleased with Impress Painting, Inc. that we plan to have them back to do more painting in the future. We could not have hired a better company. We are very happy!

We have used Wally before and this was his 3rd project for us. He came out on a timely basis to evaluate the jobs and gave us a written estimate. His schedule has been tight of late, but we were in no rush. We agreed on doing the outside painting and living room and dining room as soon as he could schedule us in. Wally started on his own on a Monday and Tuesday another painter joined him. This is also the first time that Wally has had another painter working with him, who also did a great job. Can't say enough about the quality of job that Wally does. The walls look like new and the paint job is flawless and they cleaned up superbly after they finished. One of our neighbors was impressed by what a good job they did outside and commented on it to us. Wally estimated two other jobs for us that will be done in early 2014 and we look forward to having those done as well. Our home looks so much better inside and out because of Impress Painting and Wally and his staff.

It went perfectly! Wally and his co-worker were always on time and got to work immediately. Every open surface/piece of furniture was protected with tarps and sheets of plastic, and he closed the door to the kitchen when they were sanding. There were several places where nails were coming out of the drywall and each of these were repaired before painting. Once the ceiling was painted he noticed several marks still appeared, so those areas were sanded and painted again. He paid attention to every detail and ensured the job was done right. We asked if they could also paint the doorway trim in the kitchen after they had started work in the other rooms, and they were very happy to do so. The cost matched the estimate exactly, even with the additional work done in the kitchen. They were friendly, professional, and hard working, and helped move all the furniture back before they left. We would definitely use Impress Painting again -- we're thrilled with the result!

It went okay but I decided not to go with them. They were polite and friendly. The price they quoted me was reasonable. They rescheduled the appointment when I called them.

Wally was great. His work was excellent and I would highly recommend him. He was on time, covered and tarped all work areas and cleaned up afterwords. A+ rating and will use him again.

After having had an experience with a plaster/painting company earlier this year that was below average, I was wary about hiring just anyone to do more of the same type of work in my home. Fortunately, Wally and Joe did a completely fantastic job. They were always punctual, worked tirelessly, and paid careful attention to the smallest details of the work. Wally was very clear about the timeline in which they would complete the work and always took the time to answer any questions I had. They were really pleasant to have in my home and I'll absolutely be hiring them again for my next project!
