This is the worst company I have every worked with, and I do not recommend using them. Not only did the not get the job done, but they were rude and inconsiderate throughout the entire process, and have no idea what customer service is about. We hired them for a fridge repair. They came for the initial diagnosis, and said that we needed 2 replacement parts after collecting $125 from us for that. We set up a new appointment for a few weeks out, which we were assured would be enough time for the parts to come it. Fast-forward to the day-of the appointment, and no one shows up. I then call D&S to ask where they are, and they tell me that the parts we needed were not in and they were not coming out today. When we asked why the appointment wasn't canceled and why we wasted a day staying home from work, they said that they "don't have the staff" to handle reaching out to cancel. The owner then got on the phone, did not apologize, turned things around and yelled at me for not being patient (even though we just wasted an entire day off of work to wait for them), and told us that we can either book a future appointment or use someone else for the fix without a refund. We booked another appointment, so as to not waste any more of our time or money on a different company for the diagnosis and replacement part order. The next repair person came as scheduled and installed the parts and collected a $300 check for the work. He told me that everything looks great and is functioning, and that we just need to wait a least a day for the fridge to cool down. I could not hear a motor running and asked him about it, but he said it was fine. Then nothing happened and the fridge did not cool down. I called back in 2 days and had to set up our now third appointment, for a "manager" to come and take a look at what's wrong. The manager came and was immediately able to tell us that the diagnosis was wrong and that we need a new fridge because the costs to fix would outweigh the cost of a new fridge. That manger assured us the second $300 check would NOT be processed because of the misdiagnosis and the hassle that we have been through, and we would just lose the $125 diagnosis fee. THEN D&S PROCESSED THE $300 CHECK ANYWAYS without authorization or notice. When I noticed that the check was processed and called D&S about it, they said that they always process checks and then issue refunds, and the manager should have told me that. He didn't and D&S did not apologize for the lack of transparency. They said they would send me a refund, and I said great. After a week, it did not come. I called back and they said they would send another check because the first should have gotten to me already. After another 4 business days, it still hadn't come. I called to ask about where my money is and the owner again got on the phone and treated me like everything that was going on was my fault. When I asked him where the check is and what will happen if it doesn't come again, he said "I will not talk to you about the future, you need to focus on the present and you will get your check sir." He did not apologize once and was extremely defensive on the phone when I was simply asking for information about when I should have gotten the check and what happens if it doesn't come again. The check came eventually, but only after EIGHT WEEKS of not having a fridge and going through **** and back with this company. Some of it was not their fault, like the back-ordered part, but the lack of cancelling the appointment, processing of the check they shouldn't have, and HORRIBLE customer services without any apologies for their mistakes was 100% in their control. I would never use this company again if my life depended on it. They misdiagnosed the issue, missed an appointment while we were waiting at home from work for them, cashed a check when they said that they wouldn't, and then yelled at me when one refund check had gone missing and I wanted to learn about what happens if the second one doesn't arrive. They caused nothing but headaches and NEVER APOLOGIZED OR OFFERED ANY SORT OF REASONABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They are clearly not willing to hold themselves accountable for mistakes nor make things right when they screw up. I had to buy a new fridge after 2 months without one and that delay was caused by their mis-diagnosis. If they diagnosed correctly, I would have had a new fridge within a week. Then they took my money and make me feel bad for asking where my $300 refund is. Completely unprofessional company, who NO ONE SHOULD EVER WORK WITH.

The initial call to D&S went very well. The woman I spoke to was friendly and helpful. I am a former customer and she accessed my records and scheduled an appointment two days later, on Wednesday. Wednesday morning I received a call at 8:05 and was told someone would be at my home between 3:30 and 5:30. No one showed up or called. Unsure if they were running late or not coming, I called the office at 6:20 and received a message that they were gone for the day. I left my name and number. I called the following morning (Thursday) at 8:20. The woman I spoke to put me on a brief hold, came back and said she didn't know what happened. She said she wasn't there the day before and the technician wasn't there to ask. She apologized and said someone could come Monday or she could try to squeeze me in on Friday. She was unable to give me a timeframe for Friday and I wasn't able to clear another day to wait, so I called another company.

Excellent service ! My Maytag washing machine is 11 years old and this is the first time I had to have maintenance. Frankly, it was less expensive to fix it than to buy a new one ( new washers of same size and quality are $800 to $1000). J & S technicians are very friendly and professional. They know their stuff ! The problem was quickly diagnosed ( within 15 minutes). Part needed to be ordered ( a water pump, OEM original Maytag part),. and we scheduled installation when the part came in. Tech replaced part , and tested washed within 45 minutes. Very efficient service ! ( I could not have fixed the washer this quickly on my own) Thanks!
Description of Work: Washing Machine would not run in the spin cycle. The drain pump "froze" and had to be replaced.

In the first visit the technician looked at the appliance, and told me that a part was damaged however the part was discontinued and it had no replacement. This was not true I had to research myself on the internet and I found the replacement part number, which I gave to D&S. I cannot believe they were not able to find by themselves the new part number. Trying to schedule the installation was very difficult, once they just call to tell that there was no parking available, so they were on the way back, very unreasonable. they should have told me that they were there and I could have done something. Finally When the part was installed they detected an issue with another part number. After that they left and promised to call me back. They never did. I had to call them and ask what was the status, they told me that they did not have the paperwork, they promised to call me again when they had the information. They never called me AGAIN!!. After 3 days I just to ask for the bill and cancel any further services/visits with them. What a lack of professionalism! D&S made me lost my time and money.

These guys are admittedly "flunkies" stay away! My kitchen aid microwave hood warranty service was assigned to these jokesters. I'd expected in home service, and while their technician showed up at my home, he couldn't diagnose it so said he'd take it into their shop and I'd get a call later. This was a Friday. Well call never came. They have Saturday business hours, so I waited for a call, nothing. On Monday, I called to request status only to find the appliance had just been dropped off. Again I was told, they'd have someone look at it and call me back. You guessed it, no call. Tuesday morning I called again. Still no info and as I expressed my dissatisfaction with their customer service, my call was handed to someone else. That guy proceeded to tell me, "we might call you later [that day], or maybe tomorrow, or maybe into next week"...needless to say I was not amused and asked what his role was with the company. He proceeds to tell me "I'm just some flunky that works here!" CLEARLY! I promptly called Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid and asked them to cancel my warranty contract as I had no desire to ever work with these bozos again.
