Though moving can be stressful with these people you sit back and relax. They were on time and some of the nicest people you will ever meet. All of the furniture was wrapped to avoid any damage and my wife was very happy which makes my life way better. Lynn who came out to the house to give us an estimate is a joy to meet and showed us how to save money and checked on us as the move progressed. I will recommend them to anyone moving.

Everything was smooth as silk. Nothing lost and nothing broken. The original estimate brought no surprises with our final cost. All of the people from W. P. Broms were extremely polite, conscientious and professional. The entire selling, buying, packing and moving process was quite stressful on us but the actual move was made much more easy than I ever could have imagined because of this company. My advice, don't hesitate to use W. P. Broms!

Broms Moving and Storage are excellent. I've used them for a couple of times and plan to use them again this weekend. They're good at what they do. They're very courteous and attentive. Piano moving is a specialized area. A lot of people say they can move a piano, but there's a way to do it properly and there's a way to just move it like it's a piece of furniture. It's not a piece of furniture.

Initally called Broms and spoke to Lynn. I had a very small job (2.5 hrs) but Lynn took her time in trying to determine exactly what I needed. We had a few very large and very heavy pieces I was concerned about. Crew was on time and very respectful of our property. They did a great job wrapping and padding a few key pieces, including a solid wood armoire that was as heavy as a small car. At the storage facility they took their time in arranging the furniture as to not have any shifting while in storage. Overall a very positive experience.

W.P. Broms is family owned and operated. I had never heard of them, but I found them in a web search because I had to move a piano that is very dear to me. They have been in business for over 100 years. From the original estimate by a member of the family that owns the firm, all the way through the move, the company did a great job for me. They even lent me boxes for free so that I could save on packing. The estimate was fair and accurate. The movers were really careful, not just with the piano but with everything I own. They were patient with all of the stairs at my new place and worked hard for longer than expected to get everything where I wanted it to be. I highly recommend then as movers, whether you own a piano or not.

When I called to schedule the move, I was told the piano movers were not scheduled to work on Friday, but could do the move on Thursday. I had taken Friday off of work for another matter and expressed my concern for being able to get time off for Thursday, so they lowered the price. I explained price was not the issue, getting the time off work was. They told me they could schedule the movers for 4:00 or as late in the afternoon as possible. On Thursday, I called and confirmed the time. At 2:00 I received a call from the movers, they were at the home to pick up the piano. They were never told of the 4:00 time. They told me if I was not at the home by 3:00 they would charge extra for the move. I rushed out of work and met the movers at 3:00. The move went smoothly, but when it was time to pay, they had problems with their credit card machine so we ended up having to pay with a check.

THIS IS A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS IN CHICAGO. THE PERSONAL ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND GENERAL POLITE BEHAVIOR WAS UNLIKE ANY COMPANY I HAVE USED IN THE PAST. ANGELA HILL WAS ON THE RECEPTION END AND SHE WAS OUTSTANDING. I MUST HAVE CALLED HER 30 TIMES WITH QUESTIONS AND SHE GAVE ME HER HOME PHONE NUMBER! THE PACKERS AND MOVERS ARE NOT JUST ANY GUYS. THEY HAVE WORKED FOR BROMS FOR 20 + YEARS. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME LIFT A THING. NO DAY LABOR STRANGERS HERE. THINGS MOVED SLOWLY, BUT THEY WERE CAREFUL AND I WAS NOT PAYING BY THE HOUR. NOTHING WAS DAMAGED. THEY LAID OUT RUNNERS FROM TRUCK AND THROUGHOUT HOUSE TO PROTECT THE FLOORS. THEY ARE PERFECTLY ABLE TO DO LONG DISTANCE AND LOCAL MOVES AND THEIR PRICE WAS ON THE MARK AND IN SOME CASES 3K LOWER.

THIS TEAM LOOKED AT THIS JOB, WHICH SEEMED NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE, AND HANDLED IT WITH THE UTMOST PROFESSIONALISM. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE CARE THEY GAVE TO MY PIANO, GOING ONE STAIR AT A TIME, WITH 4 GUYS FROM THEIR CREW. THEY NEW EXACTLY WHAT THEY WERE DOING, AND HOW CHALLENGING IT WOULD BE NAVIGATING THE STAIRWELL. THE CARE AND HUMOR THEY BROUGHT TO THE PROJECT WAS TREMENDOUS. IF YOU VALUE YOUR PIANO, YOU MUST USE THESE GUYS. I WOULDN'T CONSIDER ANYONE ELSE MOVING MY PIANO IN THE FUTURE. FOR WHAT THEY DID, I FEEL THEY COULD HAVE CHARGED A LOT MORE.

THE LEGS WERE REMOVED AND THE PIANO WAS PUT ON A CART. ARNIE NOTICED THE PIANO COVER WASN'T RIGHT. SO THEY UNSTRAPPED THE PIANO AND INSPECTED THE PIANO LID. THEY FOUND OUT THAT SOME OF THE SCREWS THAT WERE HOLDING THE LID IN PLACE, WERE TOO SMALL AND HAD RIPPED OUT OF THE PIANO. THIS SAVED THE COVER FROM BEING DAMAGED AND MAYBE RUINED. THERE WERE NO COMPLAINTS FOR THE EXTRA TIME SPENT ON FIXING THIS PROBLEM. THEY DELIVERED THE PIANO TO MY HOUSE, DOWN A FLIGHT OF STAIRS AND THEN SET IT UP IN NO TIME. GREAT JOB! ARNIE AND HIS CREW WERE TERRIFIC AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.
