Agnes Cleaning

Before I explain why I would not hire this company again, let me just say Agnes is fabulous. Sadly though, the cleaning women who work for her, are not & it was obvious the crews were not being trained - nor did they take any pride in their work & / or didn't care. Here is why I would NOT hire this company again: - I had the Waterford cake cutter from my wedding, stolen by one of her employees - I like the same people cleaning my home time after time & could not get that from Agnes (which tells me she has great turn over). - It is very difficult, when no one speaks English on the crew, to communicate what I want to have cleaned or the way I want something done. Oh, I would request an English speaker, was told BY Agnes one was coming on the crew - and then 2 women would show up & no one would speak English. (I even paid a translator to have directions written in Polish - and then was told, via broken English, the crew was from another Eastern European country.) - One woman who came one time, did speak English. She told me I had such beautiful things in my home & she told me that if there was anything I was thinking of getting rid of, she would happily accept it. - I was normally upstairs when they were cleaning the 1st floor - I'd hear the pairs chatting & it sounded like nothing was moving. I'd sneak down the steps only to catch them hanging out in the kitchen, doing nothing. - The woman who told me I had beautiful things in my home - she then told me she looked at my wedding album & commented on my "beautiful dress" & asked a question about the house in one of the pictures. - I wanted to have my patio cleaned off, the furniture wiped down & the wooden steps to the yard were dirty - and, my front door (outside) wiped down & cleaned off. I called Agnes & asked her if her crew would do this, she told me yes. Once they were here - they refused. - One woman banged my bathroom door into the wall so hard, the lock part of the knob left a mark in my wallpaper - and indentation in the wall. - As I had things translated - I would point to what I wanted done, eg: please don't use the paper towels, I have MANY rags. STILL they would use the paper towels & ignore the rags. I'd call Agnes & ask her to translate things for me eg: I'd like the dusting done, NOT w/a swiffer, but with a dusting rag - and they would ignore it. - I really thought a lot of Agnes - so kept trying her crews. But stopped hiring them. It seemed like EVERY time they left - there were things they missed or just plain didn't do. Bottom line: The people on Agnes' crews are not well trained & you will have a very difficult time communicating with them. If you aren't very particular about your home, your belongings or how it is cleaned, her company just might be a fit for you.

fine. Only problem was that they were supposed to call before arrival and the workers weren't informed that they were to bring their own vacuum and cleaning products (but they had them in their vehicle). The cleaners were very nice and seemed efficient, and a supervisor came by to see how they were doing.
