I had the roof on my house replaced 21 years ago by Norm and his brother Roy. So, when I discovered I had a roof leak this year I called my insurance agent for possible hail damage. After getting an inspection it was determined that my roof was pretty well worn out and should be replaced and was not hail damaged. The estimate I was given seemed a bit high and left out various items including the permit fees which I would have to pay extra for. Remembering Thompson roofing and the quality work I had received before I decided to give them a call. Norm came out and did the inspection and gave me a price that included everything and was well below what I was quoted by my Insurance agents recommended roofer. The shingles were a very good match to my garage (which is in good shape) and the work was done on time and in one day (tear off too). The cleanup was good and everything went very smoothly. The inspection by the township was completed the next day and all was done. I would not hesitate to call Thompson (Norm) roofing for any repair or replacement needed in the future. Norm Thompson showed up when he said he would and did what he said he would. I think the work, the guarantee and the price were excellent and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for roofing

I did not hire them, however I would reconsider next time. The estimated price was acceptable, but selected another roofer that was less by $100.

Luckily our roof wasn't damaged. Norm did find a few loose shingles that were never installed properly. He tightened those up and resealed them. Otherwise our roof was found to be in perfect shape. He took some time to explain how the various parts of the roof move air. Since the job was so minimal he didn't charge me anything.

Fantastic! I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the inspection and the frankness about my roof's condition. The roof had minor damage as a consequence of hail but it wasn't enough to warrant replacement for 3 years. He said his company wasn't a "storm chaser". He was knowledgable about the insurance side if I did want to fight to have the roof replaced early. In fact, I purchased a more expensive package expecting to need a minor repair or two, which wasn't even needed.

Everything was clean no nails, no extra cedar shingles. I think finding the areas and kind of explaining to me what needs to be done, fixing and having me review it and they fixed it, just giving me advise, I thought that he was just a very nice man.,

It was a pleasure doing business with Norm Thompson. Excellent communication throughout. Work was completed on schedule and efficiently. Work areas were cleaned up nicely. There were some fingerprints & smudges left behind on the access panel... but, in all fairness, flat, Super White paint isn't terribly forgiving.

Overall service went well. Norm was very professional and knowledgable. He performed a couple of minor repairs that were needed.

Just like any roofer...it's nearly impossible to find a leak. Sometimes water will be coming in from another area and running down and leaking into a room. It could be at the opposite end of the roof or right in the same area. Thompson Roofing could not find where the water was coming in from. We do not blame them for not finding the area or cause because it's like looking for a needle in a haystack!

We got off to a rocky start, but once the lines of communication were cleared, everything went well. I would certainly give his estimate strong consideration when I decide to replace the roof.

After getting estimates from 3 other roofing companies, we decided to go forward with Thompson Roofing because of Norm's professionalism, responsiveness, and work history. We have roof replacement scheduled for this month.

I've been wanting to write a good review for Thompson Roofing but due to other things going on I never did till now. As the saying goes better late than never. My new roof was installed Oct 2014. I chose Thompson Roofing cause I've requested Mr. Norm twice before to fix little issues on my roof before. So from the beginning, I know Thompson Roofing is a good company and Mr. Norm is a good, honest person. When I requested for a quote, out of the 3 companies I contacted through Angie's List, Mr. Norm was the first to respond. He came right away and gave me a quote. That really showed professionalism. Before the day of installation, Mr. Norm himself came to receive the delivery of all roofing materials. He personally re-arranged it on top of my roof so when the installers arrived everything was organized. The installers were on time, fast and neat. My new roof looks very nice. After few days I received a very nice, personalized hand written "thank you" card from Thompson Company. I thought that was very nice, kind and sweet. It gave an added special touch to their professionalism. I highly recommend this company. They do a great job. Thank you again Mr. Norm and your crew.

Norm and his crew did a good job. Norm was very prompt in returning phone calls and showed up to do the work as scheduled. He and his crew left everything neat and clean. We felt the price was fair for the work done.

Inspection went great and provided extremely helpful information. Roof estimate was fair and still reviewing. Would definitely recommend his services.

I contacted Norm 3 years ago, he inspected my roof & informed me & said call me in 2 or 3 years. This time Norm said it was time to have my roof done. Norm's communication & punctuality is excellent. He does what he says he will do. His quote was ready in two days. Norm's quote was acceptable to me. Norm scheduled to do our roof the first two good weather days available. Again, Norm communicated what time his crew would be there, what time shingles would be delivered & that the job would take two days. A concern that I communicated to Norm was that I had just resurfaced my deck w/ Trex & requested his crew take care that the deck did not get damaged. Norm's crew covered the deck & railing to ensure damage would not happen. Norm's crew took great care around a dormer using ice shielding all around the area, cutting cedar siding boards back that were touching the roof absorbing water that should not have been. Norm's crew also cleaned up very well including extra cleanup I requested be done on the deck. The re-roof could not have gone better.

Timely, cost effective service. Referred us to a really great electrician as well. Definitely will call Norm again,

He came and inspected the roof and he said, "Oh, you've got a couple of years left on this roof". We did have a leak in our garage and when he got up on the garage to see why it was leaking, it was actually coming from the window that we had had installed and they didn't put flashing up so the next day, he had his team come early in the morning. They took off the siding, put in the flashing, put the siding back on and they went on their way. He was wonderful. His crew that came was very respectful of our property. They worked fast. They were polite. I certainly thought that the $50 was reasonable. He could have said, "Oh, sure, we'll put a new roof on for you next week" but he said, "You know what, you've got a couple of years left on this roof" so I thought that was very nice, very professional.

My husband noticed that the shingles were warping on the roof, took a closer look & saw that the plywood underneath was rotting. We called Norm out for an estimate. He was pleasant, ON TIME (wow), & gave us a reasonable estimate. Additionally, we had thought by next spring we were going to have to re-roof (it's 19 years old), and he gave us the good news that we have another 3 years before we need to undertake that - yay!. We pulled out the spare shingles from the original roof (my husband saves everything), & as agreed Norm showed up right on schedule and did the fix. We haven't had any rain since so that we'd be able to tell how sound the repair is, but husband says it looks good.

He was so very professional. Called when he said he would. Came to look at the job promptly. Very friendly and outgoing. He did exactly what he said he would and more. We would recommend him to anyone. No sales pitch! He saw what we needed and responded to that. Whatever else we needed, that he didn't do, he recommended someone to do it. VERY REASONABLE! QUALITY WORK! VERY HAPPY WITH HIS WORK AND WORK ETHICS. On time every time.

I contacted Norm Thompson based upon reviews on Angie's List. Norm agreed to provide a proposal despite the fact that I was out of town and unable to meet him at the property. Norm answered all of my questions regarding the materials to be used, the process, as well as the warranty. Norm was on the job at least once a day and his crew was outstanding. Despite the fact that the roof required a lot of detail work, there were no up-charges or surprises. I wish all of my home projects went as well. I highly recommend Thompson roofing.
