Seigle's Cabinet Center

We remodeled our kitchen, laundry room, and four bathrooms. We used a custom cabinet maker for the kitchen and laundry, a semi-custom company for three of our bathrooms, and Seigles for our master bath. We bid the master bath to Seigles with semi-custom design and the custom cabinet maker that had finished the kitchen beautifully. Although the custom company was about 50% more expensive, in hindsight, I would have gladly paid the extra to avoid the incompetence, errors, and lack of customer care that Seigles provided. The Seigles rep that we dealt with, Mike Manke, was inattentive in communications, made numerous errors in the cabinet plans, and generally incompetent. He did not respond in a timely manner to our general contractor's calls, he made measurement design mistakes in the cabinet plans that led to a size and function issues with the cabinets, and failed to use detailed notes to avoid the errors that occurred. One of his design errors forced us to accept a fill piece to be inserted at the end of the cabinet that was supposed to be seamless. Another error failed to consider the range of motion on how cabinet doors would open and would have limited that range without a design changes that had to be re-done. The persistent errors led to significant extra time and costs that we paid to our reliable general contractor that was doing the installation. The cabinets were to be completed (Oct 2014) in 10 weeks from the date we ordered (August 2014). The measurement errors caused problems at installation and the cabinet manufacture sent incorrectly designed drawer fronts. This led to a 4 week delay. The new drawer fronts arrived in that four weeks and were again the wrong design and the size was also inexplicably changed. The design had other errors in the baseboard that required a re-do as well. Two months after our cabinets installation was to be completed and errors too numerous to mention (mostly due to Mike Manke), we brought our concerns to the attention of the owner, Mark Seigle. He was unwilling to discount our cabinets in spite of the extra costs that we incurred and only promised to complete the job to our satisfaction without regard to time frame. Most of the errors were fixed 6 months after the job was planned to be done except the error that couldn't be fixed (seamless cabinet). However, one cabinet door that was warped from the manufacturer was due to be replaced and Seigles failed to communicate with the manufacturer in order to get an appropriate replacement. Mark Seigle refused to complete the replacement cabinet door, and reneged on his promise to complete the job to our satisfaction. I went to the cabinet manufacturer rep directly, who replaced the door without issue at no cost. So, 14 months after the job was due to be completed, it finally was (Jan 2016). Little thanks to Mark Seigle and Mike Manke. Do business here at your own risk.

I went to the Mundelein Showroom at 1440 Townline Rd, where Stacy Carsello helped me with the designing of my remodel. She showed me several different styles of cabinets and counter top choices. After finalizing my choices, she placed the order for me. The quartz counter top that I chose did not come with a sink, so she helped me by ordering the Blanco stainless steel sink. A late delivery by Blanco to the Elgin Center caused the sink to miss the truck that was delivering my cabinets. Stacy, then drove all the way out to Elgin, picked up the sink and delivered it to my home. She was very easy to work with and made my whole project much easier to deal with. My contractor was Denson Builder's Inc and you can view the the photos of my finished remodel by searching for that review on Angie's List. I love my kitchen and would not hesitate to recommend Stacy and Seigle's Mundelein Cabinet Center to anyone needing cabinetry.

I went to the Seigle's showroom on Clybourne Avenue and Gloria was more than helpful. She asked me a lot of questions such as budget, design and preference of materials and she showed me the cabinet line she thought I would like. Then we went over the design, and as promised, she sent over the design and dimensions the next day. We did have a few modifications to the design later but that was done through email.The cabinets were done earlier than the time promised (i think it only took 3 weeks or so), shipped to me directly (note here, if you live in a highrise, they will only deliver to the building, you will have to move the cabinets yourself or by your contractor which was explained to me at the time of purchase so i didn't have an issue there). Also, Seigle does not install the cabinets so you will have to find someone to install them for you if you can't do it yourself (again, this was very clearly explained to me at the time of purchase so i was fine with that as well).The cabinets were great, and i am very happy with them. The cabinets look beautiful. Gloria from Seigle's did an excellent job helping in the selection of the best cabinet style and finish for my kitchen layout. The cabinets were completely custom - sizes, paint finish, unique trim panels. The cabinets were delivered on time without damage. Gloria was always available to answer any questions or obtain information needed for the installation. I would definitely recommend Seigle's, particularly Gloria at the Chicago location on North Clybourn, to others looking for quality cabinetry at a fair price.
