Spray foam insulation from attics to basements & crawl spaces.
RevFoam did an outstanding job insulating our kitchen and garage. We had severe ice dams this past winter resultanting in substantial water damage. Gwen from RevFoam gave quality recommendations on insulating the roof from the heat of the kitchen. We also had our garage ceiling inserted to keep the upstairs floor warm in the winter. The team arrived on time, sealed off the area to keep the rest of the house clean and spent a solid 8 hours of work. The installer showed problem areas with the fiberglass and shot photos of the inner cavities. The work they completed was immediately noticeable and our kitchen is now the warmest room in the house. I'll absolutely be having them back out to check out our attic and other problem areas.

We opted to go with blown insulation instead of spray foam based on the cost. If we had not just finished extensive renovations over the last year, I would have gone with Revolutionary. Our decision was based on the cost between the two products not companies.

Guen Reynolds, the owner of RevFoam, came to my house to discuss insulating my walls with spray foam. She removed a couple of electrical sockets to get an idea of existing conditions inside the walls. The two technicians, Joe Burke and Julian, arrived on July 8 to install spray foam insulation inside the brick walls. However, after drilling several holes in one wall from the outside, and one hole from the inside, Joe came to the conclusion that because of the way the walls were constructed, the space between the two layers of bricks and the interior wall was too narrow to effectively insulate with spray foam. (My partner had been trying to tell me this all along, but I foolishly paid no attention.) Joe filled in the holes that he drilled, and plans were made to insulate the roof deck instead ten days later. Joe made arrangements for a dumpster to be dropped off in front of my house to be filled with the existing blown-in insulation. The dumpster arrived as scheduled, but I had to keep pestering Joe for an arrival time so I could make sure no one parked in front of my house where the dumpster needed to be parked. Joe and Julian arrived as scheduled on July 18 and set up their equipment in front of my house. They had to temporarily install a 60-amp breaker in my circuit breaker box to power their equipment. Joe removed about 20 inches of blown-in insulation from the attic using a vacuum that deposited the fluff into the dumpster, the large hose from the vacuum leading from the attic out through a window to the dumpster. They had fastened a tarp over the top of the dumpster, and Julian repeatedly hosed down the fluff as it filled the dumpster so very little of it could escape into the air. (The dumpster company removed the dumpster later in the afternoon.) Julian then sprayed about 8.5 inches of open-cell foam onto the entire roof deck (the underside of the roof) and the space above the eaves. This is of necessity a very messy and noisy undertaking and took just about all day to complete. Joe and Julian did a very good job of cleaning up inside and outside the house. Joe also explained in detail how the insulation works -- the advantage of having "conditioned air" above and below the ceiling -- and even found an article on his iPad for me to read about roof deck insulation. I feel that Joe and Julian did a very good job. Our summer weather has been so temperate that it has been hard to tell how effective the spray foam insulation has been in keeping the house cooler, but I have noticed that the house seems to hold the temp that I set on my thermostat for longer periods of time than before. I expect to experience the effects of the insulation more noticeably in the winter, but those effects will be affected by the fact that I've also had energy-efficient dual-pane vinyl replacement windows installed. Overall, I expect the house to be more comfortable and I hope to see lower heating gas bills, if not sufficiently lower for a significant payback. RevFoam advises that no one be in the house while the insulation is being applied because of the fumes, but I was in and out of the house all day and didn't notice any fumes. I did, however, board my three cats with their vet for the day on the assumption that they might be more susceptible to the fumes than a person would be. I chose RevFoam on the recommendation of a very persnickety friend who had spray foam insulation installed in the attics of both his house and his rental apartment building a few years ago and has been pleased with the results, as have I so far. My only quibble is that I can't understand why Guen, with all her presumed experience, didn't detect how the walls were constructed. If she had, there would have been no attempt to insulate the walls in the first place. This is why I assigned "Professionalism" a "B" grade. Joe and Julian were "A" professionals. Yes! I missed that one completely. I should have realized that the outlet boxes were recessed into the brick and advised against trying to insulate the walls. Originally I had two other companies give me a quote and I was only going to spray foam our new addition. After meeting with Gwen she explained to me all the different options available to me. She also inspected my attic and provided a solution which I had been looking for and asked about with the other companies but was never provided. In addition she did not try to upsell me on any of the products I needed. Finally, she did all of this in a very short time frame. After agreeing to do both my new addition and the entire attic space, Gwen organized the installation and her people came out that week. The installation went great and the men were in constant communication with me. I am more than happy with the results and my home is already more efficient. Unfortunately, after the service was provided, Gwen realized I wrote the check for the wrong amount. She was super professional when she called and i was so embarrassesd!

First an inspection was provided by Gwen who is the owner of the company. She provided a thorough inspection of my home and then submitted a quote to correct the existing problems. RevFoam sent out a crew to remove improper insulation and then install new spray foam insulation. The quality of work was excellent and they explained everything so I knew what to expect while they were at my home. The staff was very professional and made sure everything was to my satisfaction before leaving the job. I highly recommend RevFoan .

RevFoam was one of the best contractor experiences I have had. Called Guen on Wed. for a quote and she came out the very same day. They were originally 3-4 weeks out, but there was a cancellation the following Monday after our quote and the crew showed up right on time and finished the job in less time than anticipated. They were very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time prepping the room to make sure none of the windows or walls were impacted. They did an amazing job at application and cleaned up everything on the way out. RevFoam is a small company, which is great when it comes to spray foam because you want a company that is experienced without a lot of turnover when it comes to technicians. Highly recommend!

Project went well from start to finish. RevFoam was very responsive in scheduling and were on time for the appointment. They fully disclosed the type of foam used. The type was open cell and the brand seemed to be more environmentally friendly than other types. The job was done pretty quickly since we had already demo'd the walls and ceiling. No trimming was necessary and we were able to begin drywalling the next day. Room seems much more comfortable, albeit it has been a pretty temperate summer. Compared to another vendor, RevFoam was much more knowledgeable than the other. The other vendor price was about the same as RevFoam and they proposed using a closed end foam. Other vendor also quoted for attic insulation - spray foam the interior roof and close off existing vents. In reading reviews on RevFoam's website, RevFoam offers to do a similar job but mentioned additional steps like cleaning out existing cellulose insulation and checking for pests that the other vendor did not even mention. I would trust RevFoam to do a thorough job for any future spray foam insulation project.

First off, Guen came out the same day I called to give us the estimate. She was terrific! Answered all of our questions, was very thorough and even convinced my 10-year-old son that fractions were indeed useful! The proposal came in a few days and although they were slightly more expensive than traditional insulation, this was definitely the solution to our cathedral ceiling's ice-dam issue. I had a few more questions that were answered quickly and thoroughly via email. Of course we got a few other estimates from other companies, but no one else could come up a way to fix the problem, and one even said "maybe you should try some spray foam." When I said I'd had someone out about spray foam and told him it was Guen at RevFoam he said "Oh, she's just fantastic. And her crew is great. I'm not even going to quote this, you should totally have them do it. That's the right way to do this and they're gonna do a great job." We scheduled the installation and I was contacted the day before as a reminder. Well, long story short, they did an amazing job. Showed up on time both days, covered up all the furniture, cut out a smaller section of drywall that they predicted, and sprayed in the foam. We did get just a few nail pops in the ceiling as a result of the foam expanding (I'm assuming), but since we're having drywall patching done anyway to cover up the install gap, it's no big deal. My neighbor came over as he was curious about what we were having done, and he was really impressed as well. All the houses on our block had the same terrible insulation installed 30 years ago and everyone gets the same ice damming issues. Any time any of them ask me I'm going to recommend RevFoam. I'm so excited to see what the difference is going to be this winter. Come on snow, show me what you've got! I'm ready!

Having never seen or used a spray foam insulation before, I was a bit skeptical. But after using Rev Foam, and meeting Guen, I must say that I'm a believer. Her approach was upfront, honest, and straightforward. Her pricing was competitive, if not a little less than the larger companies. We had to have four separate roof/attic areas insulated, as well as cleaned out completely. Her team was on time, did the job in one day, and cleaned up their entire mess. They also put down all mats and sheets to protect the home as they were walking through it. After having the new spray foam in for about a week now, I can tell you that those areas that normally reached crazy high temps, are now the same temp as the rest of the house. It's amazing! I would recommend using Rev Foam for any future jobs.

This was an extremely difficult job. They performed this work over 4 to 5 days during the coldest stretch of weather we experienced this winter. Her staff was very professional, courteous, and meticulous with their work. They were quick problem solvers and left a clean work site at the end of every day. Gwen was quick to schedule the initial quote and extremely patient as we weighed all our options for the attic. She was most thorough of all the contractors/insulators we had bidding the job. She was quick to return our calls. .We could not have been more pleased with the overall work. It made a 10 to 15 degree difference in the overall temperature in our home. It is and will be an integral part of our overall renovations and I would not hesitate to hire them for other insulation work in our home. She even adjusted our initial quote down in price as they needed less time and effort to clean the attic prior to spraying the insulation. That speaks to her overall integrity and dedication to her customers.
Description of Work: They insulated my attic with spray foam. Our home is a former church originally built in 1892. They thoroughly cleaned the attic surface before applying approximately 11 inches of a hybrid spray foam. The area they insulated was approximately 3600 square feet.

The job was completed in the quoted amount of time, and the price was exactly what they quoted me. I am very happy with the work and the performance of the spray foam. It may be a bit more expensive than traditional insulation, but the results are completely worth it. The only concern that I still have is that a heat detector was set off by the installer (due to high temperature of the foam) and my alarm company needs to come out to reset it. I contacted the owner via email but I have not yet heard back about this issue. I have an estimate for the rest of my basement to be spray foamed by RevFoam next week and I plan to follow up again with Gwen about this issue. I am very confident that she will make it right.

I received a prompt estimate and scheduled the service as soon as possible. A team of 2 arrived promptly in the morning and began working. However, there were problems with the machine twice so there were delays as they had to stop and fix the problem. They eventually finished late in the evening (around 8:30/9:00 pm) which was hours past the estimated time. They did keep me updated throughout the day so I appreciated that. The work went well and hopefully, it will help with the heating and cooling in these rooms.

Some times things break. We never want to inconvenience our customers! Fortunately all of our employees are trained to recognize problems and repair the equipment when when it is required. Some companies do not give their employees these tools and it results in jobs being delayed for days or an unsatisfactory application of spray foam insulation. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, because our personnel are properly trained I know that this customer received the best possible service. Owner Guen Reynolds

The people from RevFoam were professional and courteous, and they cleaned everything completely before they left. They know exactly what they are doing and how to solve issues. Guen, from RevFoam, went above and beyond any expectations we could have had. On the second visit, Guen discovered that the vents would not provide the heat that we (the owners) thought they would provide, because of the type of vents that turned out to be under the shelving. Rather than giving up, Guen actually measured the room and the house ductwork and was able to tap into the heat supply by creating an opening in the floor under the shelving and venting through that opening. Now heat comes into the room through the vents that Guen added within the shelving. It was a creative and efficient solution, and it was hugely successful. I would recommend Guen and RevFoam to anyone.
Description of Work: First they cleared insulation that wasn't helping out of a crawl space and then blew foam in, in order to stop a draft in a room. That made a big difference. When they were at our house, they found an additional way to warm up the room by adding vents to existing built-in shelving, and they returned to do that on a different date. The end result was that the room is much warmer and more comfortable to use. It will be more comfortable in the summer, also. We wish we had done it sooner.

My house's second floor cantilevers out over the first floor about two feet. We've always had problems with the bedroom and bathroom getting frost on the floors and walls during the winters. I could not leave the closet doors closed during the winter months in these two rooms. Joe and his co-worker came in and sprayed the cavities we had in the floors. They were able to do most of the work from inside the house, but had to go outside and remove some of the siding to get to the last couple of cavities. They did an amazing job! The prep work they did left no foam residue anywhere in the house and they were able to get my siding back on the house without damaging any of the siding. My house is now toasty and warm in the two rooms where I've had issues. I can leave the closet doors closed and not have any issues with coldness or frost on the floors and walls - and we've had some really cold weather this winter too! Thanks!!!

I called Guen, from Revolutionary Spray Foam and she set up an appointment to give me an estimate to spray foam my crawl. We set a date and she was right on time. I told her what I wanted and she gave me her advise of encapsulating the crawl before spray foaming. She gave me an estimate for that and put me in contact with Midwest Spray Coatings. Midwest honored the estimate from Guen and they were just as professional in their work. Guens guys came after the concrete was poured and they were great. They made sure they put runners down before starting their work. They completed the job in a few hours and cleaned up after. The crawl looks great I now have much more storage space. Don't know if I have any savings with heat due to just having it done, but the floors are not as cold as before, so I'm very happy with the results and would recommend her and Midwest, in fact I already have told my neighbors and cowrkers.

I would use Guen and her crew again. I had the underside of a steeply pitched roof done in 5.5" closed cell. The bottom of the ballon frame in 6" open cell and the bottom of my sunroom, approx 100s/f in 6" open cell. Two story 1927 brick 2300 s/f. Very clean and proffesional. I happily put my name to this review. Joe Meyer. I would use them again, but I'm going to retire in this house. I doubt if I'll ever move.

They removed old insulation then attached metal screening around the parimeter to help keep the mice from entering the basement. Then two layers are foam were sprayed in to cover all openings. They cleaned up all the mess and all I had to do was move things out of the way and place them back when the work was completed. They explained they saw where the mice were probably coming in and went the extra mile to crawl under my deck to enclose the area with metal screening and framework. The crew was very friendly and I would recommend them to anyone looking to have this type of work done. jborus
Description of Work: I had a smaller job to spray foam in the joists in my base where I believe we had a problem with mice coming in. I choose this provider for the work due to the explanation of the service.

We've been in the house for a year and realized that our walls were COLD. A little investigation: no insulation. Guen was awesome; we had another referral in addition to Angie's List... extra endorsement from a trade professional is beneficial. On short notice, Guen investigated and quoted and was able to schedule installation on a short timeframe. Her team was highly professional, polite, punctual and informed me of everything happening before, during and after the process. The end-of-installation thermal imaging was highly interesting and informative; I'm hopeful it will prove beneficial this winter. I'm pleased with the service, will have them back for ceiling work when we're ready for some renovation.
Description of Work: Insulated first and second floors of stucco exterior/ old-school-lath&plaster house. Foam insulation was added to external walls from interior holes; the team was clean and tidy with all debris removed after operation. Their professionalism ranged from describing when, what and how the process was done through protect-floors, protect-walls, dust removal from drilling and a variety of other details that their process and approach made work well.

guen was super responsive, came out on an early saturday morning on short notice, and was very detailed with her answers. her pricing was very competitive. we were ultimately unable to use her services, because our new home builder made it very difficult to replace their vendor, who was going to charge 3x what guen quoted. i regret that we couldn't reward guen for her efforts.

Her staff was professional and their price was more then reasonable. The problem was resolved and I have wondered why i had waited so long. My house has been significally warmer, energy build reduced by a third and I dont have to leave town worrying about a pipe breaking
