We were extremely dissatisfied with them. There service was absolutely unacceptable. I used them late June early July. The techs that they sent here they had to remove a door and didn't replace it. They also in this application you shim off what goes off the stud and they swept it under our existing furniture. They had the tech handle the complaint.

This is out of character for our technicians and there is no excuse for leaving a home in this condition. Unfortunately we were unaware of the complaint until after the home owner had cleaned up. If there is a problem with any aspect of our work I want to know about it immediately. If need be I will personally show up and remedy the problem. Guen Reynolds Owner

Although it is not cold enough to feel the results of the extra insulation, I am sure it will make a big difference. They were very responsive in all my communications and very flexible with regard to scheduling. When they left the rooms were remarkably clean. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Guen was very responsive to calls and Joe and his team of installer were excellent. I have never had a more professional and courteous experience. They were very careful to minimize the mess and interruption to the household in what was an extensive and messy job. They protected the floors, blocked off the work areas with plastic and thoroughly cleaned when the job was done. I am calling them this week concerning a job in my basement.

Glen and her team did a great job from start to finish: - I was able to quickly schedule an estimate, and Guen was knowledgeable and helpful with her recommendations. - Upon request, Guen provided me a detail sheet on the material she was going to install, so I could educate myself. - A week before the job was to start, I received a text and call from her crew confirming their schedule. - The first day of the job, the crew explained their work-plan again, was on-time each day, cleaned up and were polite throughout. - If there were questions or updates, the crew texted me to ensure I was informed/expectations aligned. - We had one minor mishap, and the crew let me know about it right away, and that they would pay to fix it--handled very well. The spray foam has made a huge difference in the temperature stability of the garage, attic and adjoining rooms of our house. Way, way more efficient than traditional bat or blown-in. Spray foam is more expensive, but definitely worth the price. Strongly recommend RevFoam and would use them again for future projects.

Guen and her crew were extremely professional from start to finish, and in a very rare class. I strongly recommend using them. Yes, there are cheaper contractors out there, but RevFoam is one of the best contractors I've worked with and you'll get what you pay for. When I called for an estimate, I was able to get through immediately and to schedule time. Guen came out personally and provided good guidance and showed patience with my many questions. She uses excellent product, and is extremely knowledgeable. A very detailed written estimate was provided quickly. Once I signed off on the work, I was able to get scheduled quickly. The week before the work was scheduled to start, I received a text from Guen's crew, asking if I would like them to start sooner. That was fantastic, as it enabled me to finish my project early (that is a first for a contractor). The crew showed up exactly on time each day, explained their plan, and cleaned up after themselves each day, explaining exactly when they would return the next day. The whole job took about a week and throughout the process they would text me and call me with progress updates. We did have a few unexpected issues, which often can happen with construction--throughout all of it, the RevFoam team kept me informed about our options.

Guen came out promptly and provided an estimate to do the work along with a recommendation to go with either 8.5 inches of open cell foam or 5 inches of closed cell foam (both R38), which was consistent with what other providers recommended. Her quote was a few hundred dollars less than the other quotes I received, but I really liked her and she had really good reviews. I decided to go with the open cell foam as it was about $2k less expensive. On the day the work was to be done, the crew showed up on time and went right to work. They basically used a big vacuum with a long hose to suck out all the existing insulation and disposed of it in a dumpster that they supplied along with the permit. At that point I had to leave the house while they sprayed the foam on the underside of the roof deck which took a few hours. While they were doing the work, they did set off the fire alarm on my security system, supposedly from the heat and fumes the foam creates as it cures. You may want to notify your alarm company of the work being done so they don't send the fire department. The whole project was done in 1 day. Everything went well, except one of her crew fell on top of one of my HVAC ducts in the attic and crushed it. They explained to me what happened as soon as I arrived back home and Guen came out a few days later and fixed the duct so it's all good. There was some odor from the foam for about a week similar to what you get from a new memory foam pillow or mattress. We left the windows open upstairs for the first two days to help dissipate it and it was gone after a week or so, once the foam fully cured. I went with spray foam because I have HVAC ducts in the attic that I wanted to bring inside the building envelop, no insulation in many of my walls so I hoped by spending more on the spray foam it would help offset that, and I was hoping there would be some reduction in the transmission of sound from the outside. Also, I have a brand new roof, so wasn't worried about the roof having to be replaced again anytime soon. The house does seem to be a bit quieter, but the improvement is limited as the windows transfer sound also. The walls in the house feel warmer, and the house is less drafty, I assume because the tops of the walls are spray foamed, which is reducing the air traveling up the inside of the wall and out through the attic, a benefit I would not have gotten by adding more cellulose. Last year I had major ice damming on my roof and huge icicles hanging off the side of my house, this year there have been only a few in one corner of my house, which is supposedly an indicator of better insulation. On savings on heat usage, it's tough to measure. I had a new high efficiency furnace installed toward the end of last winter so I don't have a good compare year over year. For month to month, it looks like from November (before) to January (after), the degree days (a peoples gas measure of relative days of cold) went up 50% and my usage of therms only went up 11%, so it seems like a substantial benefit at least based on 1 month of data. I think I would make the same decision again to go with spray foam, though I'll see how my bills continue to come in and how the A/C bills are in the summer. That said, I would definitely use Guen and RevFoam again, they were great to do business with throughout the entire process.
Description of Work: Removed existing blown in fiberglass insulation and applied 8.5 inches of open cell insulation to the underside of the roof deck of my house. I had only a couple of inches of existing insulation, my house is a 1960s brick house in Chicago with about an 1000 sq ft footprint and a hip style roof.

Rev Foam was recommended to me by another insulation contractor that uses non-sprayfoam insulation. His opinion that sprayfoam would best suit our needs was the reason we went this route. Gwen was responsive and professional. It was not a job I would want to do and we were very happy with the work. We were working with another contractor doing some carpentry and had to adjust the schedule a bit. Gwen did all she could to accommodate and we appreciated that a lot. The project included removing all existing insulation from the roof/attic and finished space of a Cape Cod style home, then replacing it with sprayfoam. The difference in comfort level is already apparent. It's a little early to say how it will affect the gas usage but the gas company's estimated usage was far above the actual, if that tells you anything. Overall, it was a good experience and despite the high price of sprayfoam over more typical materials, I believe it was worth the cost. One suggestion I have is that if you can do this installation during mild weather, it will help with airing out the home after the install. There is an odor that is now gone but due to the house being shut up during cold weather, took a couple of weeks to dissipate.
Description of Work: Gwen came out and did a thorough inspection of the project. At installation time, her crew did an extensive removal of existing insulation, much of it in very cramped quarters. The sprayfoam was installed over a period of two days in a very professional manner.

I did a lot of research into insulating my exterior walls after getting frost build up on the interior after last winter's polar vortex. I originally looked at spray foam because one provider said they could install from the exterior through my brick facade. I bounced back and forth between cellulose and spray foam and even dabbled in spayed fiberglass. The price of other products was better, but I liked the idea of not having to patch and paint my walls. When Guen from RevFoam gave me a quote, her price was comparable to other products, but she would install the foam from the interior. I chose RevFoam because I could get a superior product for a great price and still have some savings to pay for the fresh look of a new paint job compared to an install from the exterior. Guen warned me that the job was messy, and she was absolutely right. I had 4 one-inch holes in every stud space. Other products would have required one or two larger holes in every space, so either way was going to be messy. The price included one coat of drywall mud in the holes, but they required a lot more attention before the walls were ready to be painted. I knew that was going to be the case and Guen was very upfront about it. Her crew was neat and courteous. They gave frequent updates about the status of the job. The price also included a follow-up after a few days with a thermal camera to fill any voids that may have been missed. I was happy to have that service, as the guys found several spots where they had to drill and fill. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that I didn't know about the follow-up until after the work was done. By that time, I had already scheduled painters, so we had to scramble a bit to get the follow-up done. Guen and her crew knew my situation and were very accommodating to make sure I stayed on schedule. I can't wait to see my next gas bill.

We are absolutely thrilled with the results of RevFoam's work!! Prior to having this work done there was at least a 10 -15 degree difference with the bedroom above the garage. Now this bedroom is as comfortable as the rest of the house. The bedroom floor is no longer too cold to walk on. The foam also reduced the noise of the garage door opening and closing. Great work!
Description of Work: Cut out drywall in garage ceiling, pulled out all old insulation, blew in new foam insulation and re-dry walled.
