Just wanted to bring this to everyone?s attention that are trying to get feedback on this Guy. As soon as he meets you he first tells you to do the good review for him on the Angies list even before he starts work. May will agree with me who has already done one for him I did the same and gave him good review to get discount. Which was a total mistake. He took $1000 deposit from us for doing house painting. And the day he was supposed to start we happen to be an hour late to get to our new home where he was waiting. And we were moving in same day but he still wanted to start painting, so we said yes but was just late to get to the house to let him in. He was so mad that he just left and after several calls he never answered and after 3 days when he answered he wanted sorry and apology from us to start the work, even after saying sorry and apology for making him wait, he said he will start the work when he has free time and he don?t know when. And I had all my stuff sitting in middle of the room for him to start painting. As he had mentioned that he will not touch any furniture or move it, if he did he will charge extra. After waiting for week, we dicided we don?t want to go with him anymore as he was giving us so hard time. And we asked for our deposit back. First he said he will not return then after serveral call and message he agreed and wanted us to pickup the money. We tried to get to the address that he gave but he was never there. He said he needed 4 days notice to be at home, even after giving 1 week notice he said he is busy and not home. Then we said we will complain to Angies list, so he said he will mail the check and took our address. After checking 2 weeks later and he said the check is in mail. Waited for another 2 weeks and guess what he lied to us, he never mailed it. When I called again this time took my account number saying he will deposit and have never responded to my messages or phone. Hence I am writing this long feedback so that others can be saved from him. He is very very unprofessional and lier, don?t trust this guy. I have lost my $1000 and don?t want anyone else to go thru him. I have a good person who did my painting and was 40% less price then what he had coated me, and an excellent job. I am filing complain to Angies list as well and making a police complain on this guy over the weekend. Will keep updating here as to what is going on. Hopefully I will get my money back thru them. Our neighbor had used their services and loved them so we had them come give us a quote. After receiving the quote, I had two other companies from Angie's List come give us a quote and both of them were twice as much as Marquez painting. They used a sprayer for the paint on the custom woodwork to avoid leaving brush or roller marks and they did an outstanding job. They masked everything very well so we did not get any paint anywhere it should not have been. For the upper portion of the wall we had them roll on a base of flat paint and then put in vertical stripes with eggshell paint. They did an excellent job of taping everything off so the stripes look outstanding. The were very polite, very professional, and finished the job quickly. We asked them to do the hall ceiling the day that they were here even though we originally did not have them quote for the work and they did it for an extremely good price.
