FOX VALLEY GUTTER CAP & INSULATION

BE ALERT - We had our job quoted and asked for cost "both ways" one with just replacing gutters and one with also installing gutter guards. Our quote had two line items - remove/replace gutters - $2870 then another line with option to install gutter guards - $3327 They did our old house last summer 6/22 with gutters and gutter guards for $2,555 so the idea of doing our new slightly larger home for $3327 sounded reasonable. We approved the proposal and they sent us back a signed copy of the same proposal. After the job was completed they invoiced us for $6,197! They added the 2 separate quotes together for a total. We NEVER had anything from them showing this total or even suggesting that those two lines would be combined until AFTER the job was done. After the install we gave them the check for the $3327 that we thought we were quoted, then they gave us a sealed envelope with a total of $6,197. We don't want any others to get blindsided like this, be aware and be careful.

Tom came out quickly and gave us a quote. Of the three quotes we received, we decided to go with Fox Valley Gutter Cap because Tom was very professional and showed me the quality of gutter that I would be receiving and explained how the work would be done. The guys showed up at the appropriate time and did a nice job. The did a nice job on the clean up as well.

The estimate process was very good with them and they provided a written estimate in a timely manner.

Because the job was small, no one else wanted the job. Fox Valley Gutter Cap took the job and did it well. This is definitely how you build a customer base.

After the service guy installed the diverter and caulked he tested the fix and saw the water was still going behind the gutter and that the issue wasn't fixed. He called Tom to say that the diverter didn't fix the issue and that we had to call a siding company because the J-Channel that was on the bottom of the siding was too short and that was the issue. About a half hour later Tom called and asked if he could stop by to look at the issue again. He found that the J-Channel used on the bottom of the siding was about a half inch short and that there was a hole about a quarter in diameter that the water was getting into. He was able to fabricate a piece of aluminum that fit behind the J-Channel that covered the hole and extended the water into the gutter. He tested the fix again and all the water went right into the gutter where it belonged! Tom's perfectionism and attention to detail was incredible! He couldn't admit defeat and went far above and beyond what anyone else would have done. We are so grateful that we made that call to him!

I got a price for the storm damage repair but also asked for the price to do all the gutters. I was so pleased with the pricing that I ended up replacing all the gutters and they look great. The job was done quickly, professionally, timely and neatly.

They parked a trailer in front of my house and ran a house from outside to the attic. He had me look at the work after it was done and show me. I don't know if you've seen what 17 inches of insulation looks like in an attic, but wow, it's a lot! He made sure I was satisfied and very kind. They also do gutters. There was a section where my screening came off, I said could you put this up there? He said, "Sure" and got a ladder. He was very nice.

They arrived promptly and did an excellent job. The new gutters look great and a thunderstorm that evening proved that they worked well. A gutter color was ordered that is very close to the color of the house trim paint.

These folks were straight to the point and no nonsense. The gutters look and work great. 10/10 would work with again.

This review is a long time coming. Sitting down and looking for additional services has sparked me to finally get to writing this. FVCG were great, and I usually wouldn’t give straight A marks across the board, but they were professional, honest, and affordable. We worked with Aaron through the transaction from quote to finish and he was straight. He didn’t try to sell us on anything we really didn’t need. For example, most places we contacted wanted to gives us a “higher” grade insulation, we already had fiberglass in the attic and we were not having that removed, just adding additional insulation. So there really was no point to getting the “better” quality insulation types. They were also much more reasonable than any of the other contractors we contacted. Would most certainly use them again.

Very pleasent experience. Arron called to discuss options then Tom came out the same day to look at the project. Had the gutters the next day. Would definately call again.

Initially when they come to do the job they're kind of booked up. Once they were open, they were there and got it done. As a matter of fact there were some rain days and they even called up to say that they were behind schedule. My only complaint is they have a guarantee that if its plugged up they'll come and check it out. They are real slow for that. That is the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way.

Everything went well. Price was right and installation was fast.

Aaron came out for an estimate a couple days after leaving a voicemail.I received the quote by email the next day which was Sat morning. I had a couple of questions and Aaron responded quickly. They came out on the day that was promised and was finished that morning.Job well done

Fox Valley Gutter Cap did a terrific job! I got 4 estimates for insulation for our home and their price was the most reasonable. They did a great job communicating price and availability. They followed up with communication the day before the install and did a terrific job! We are so pleased with our more comfortable home and would recommend them to our friends and family.

Tom Lynch, the owner of Fox Valley Gutter Cap promptly gave us an estimate for blown-in attic insulation to improve energy saving in our home. The price was good and the work was scheduled promptly. The work was completed with attention to detail. They were very careful to cover carpets and cleaned up and vacuumed afterwards. They were very professional and polite and I would highly recommend. They also install gutter and leaf protection and we will be using these services in the near future!

I sent a e-mail, was contacted by Aaron and he arranged a same day visit. He reviewed what I thought I needed, made a couple better suggestions and installed them immediately. Aaron was very friendly, capable and helpful. This is the company for anyone looking for new gutters, replacing existing gutters or minor repairs like mine. Ask for Aaron, he was awesome.

I was really satisfied with work and it was very reasonably priced. Would recommend to others.

They showed up on time and were able to use the piece that had broke off. They fixed the problem very quickly and it appears to well done, I have no complaints.
