+ -1 moreDO NOT USE FOWLER TREE SURGERY, INC.! They sent 3 guys to take down an evergreen that close to 50ft tall. The entire time the were yelling and swearing at each other. Drinking alcohol on the job (you could smell it on thier breath). They dropped the top of the tree into my beautiful healthy red maple tree. Broke off 2 huge branches. And told me it was no big deal! Didnt use a rope to lower it down, and this was right next to my house. They left a huge mess. And when I called to complaint, Gary's wife said " I will tell Gary you are not happy with anything" and hung up on me! Horrible customer service and absolutely no professional at all!

Description of Work: I needed a professional opinion on whether a huge, old oak tree would need to be removed from a piece of property on which I had made an offer as well as an estimate on the cost. My realtor referred me to Gary, indicating that his family had been using his service for many years and highly recommended him. I called the office and left a message with the woman who answered the phone who indicated that Gary would get back to me, and he called me back really quickly. He was very friendly both on the phone and in person, accommodating to my needs and very flexible and willing to meet me at the property within 30 minutes which was great & truly appreciated. I was impressed with his attitude and knowledge. His trip & estimate were at no charge, and came in very reasonable. I will definitely be calling Gary when it is time to take down the tree if/when it needs to come down to build a home, or for any other needs I have on my current property or for this new property in the future.

+ -1 moreI always call them whenever we need them. They once removed a 100 year old Oak tree because it was too close to the house. Another time, they took out a Dead Wood. They come when they say they will, then they clean up and leave.
Description of Work: They removed a big Mulberry tree. It took them one day to remove it. They came back another day to grind the stumps and clean up the mess.

+ -1 moreI called twice and left a message to have someone come out and give me a quote, and no one ever returned my call. The second time I even commented that this was my second message and the woman taking the message acknowledged that and said she would be sure to get Gary to call back. This was not the only company that didn't call back, and I kept hearing the "this is a busy season" comment. In my opinion, that may justify that it would take a while to schedule having work done, but it does not excuse not returning a phone call.
Description of Work: I needed one tree removed, 2 trees trimmed and 2 evergreen bush stumps removed.

+ -1 moreGARY FOWLER CAME OVER RIGHT AWAY WHEN I CALLED HIM. HE GAVE ME A REASONABLE ESTIMATE AND CHARGED ME THAT PRICE. I ASKED HIM TO KEEP HIS TRUCKS OFF THE GRASS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. HE HAD NO TRUCKS ON THE GRASS. SEVERAL DAYS AFTER THE ESTIMATE HE CAME OVER AND REMOVED THE TREE LIMBS. HE HAS WORKED FOR ME SEVERAL YEARS AGO. HE WAS POLITE, AND LEFT ME NO MESS.
Description of Work: 2 LARGE LIMBS BROKE OFF THE 30 FOOT TALL MAPLE TREE. THE COMPANY REMOVED THE LIMBS AND HAULED THEM AWAY. THE TREE LIMBS WERE PARTIALLY ATTACHED TO THE TREE. THEY HAD TO CHAIN SAW THE LIMBS TO GET THEM SMALL ENOUGH TO REMOVE. THE LIMBS WERE OVER ONE FOOT IN DIAMETER. THE WORK WAS FINISHED IN LESS THAN 2 HOURS.
