 + -1 moreI had a Ash tree which was partially dead and needed to be brought down. Gray Tree Service, the top rated one on Angie's list tried to rip me off and quoted $2150. I received quotes for $1150 or so from Davey and got the lowest quote from these guys at $700 or so. I ended up going with another provider outside of Angie;s list who was a lot lower at about $600. Not sure what the guys at Gray service were thinking when they quoted me $2150. The probably were going to build me a deck out of the dead wood...
Description of Work: I reached out to the provider since I had an Ash tree that had need to be brought down. They were pretty responsive and had a fast turnaround. I eventually went with a provider who was not on Angie's list but was able to beat their quote by about 5%.

 + -1 moreThe provider responded quickly to my email through Angie's List. Someone came out to look at the Ash tree removal site and I had an emailed quote within a few days. Once the agreement was signed, the tree was removed promptly within 2 weeks and the stump was ground down a few days later. This is an A+ service provider with excellent response times. Except for the sad, empty space where our tree had been, you would never even know they were there! There is an additional fee of 5% to use a credit card if you choose that option. I would definitely use them again!
