Great communication from Tom from start to finish in overseeing our project and excellent work performed by both Larry and Jeff in installing our new drywall and finishing it. We will definitely use again!

Tom was great -- showed up promptly on time, got a quick understanding of what we were looking for and gave us a couple of options. He was friendly, but prompt and to the point, and didn't take more time than was necessary. He followed up with a written estimate via email. We have put the project on the backburner for some other work that needs to be completed, but will definitely be checking back with TAK when we're ready to hire someone for this work.

Tom from TAK came to advise and consult on work to be done. His consultation was very helpful and inspired our confidence in TAK. He provided several estimates to give us flexibility on the work to be done while staying within a budget. The area was carefully prepared to protect what wasn't to be touched. All workers came promptly as schedules and we were kept up to date on scheduling. Tom came several times to assess work and our satisfaction. We had one area small area of trim we didn't care for and he adjusted it perfectly. The paint job was great, and we added to the original order to have another door and built in unit painted. We couldn't be happier.

Great! I am a worry wart by nature but Tom made the process super simple. He was great with communicating what I needed to do to get ready, when they would be here, and what to expect. All the guys were really nice to my pesky (but adorable) dog, too! We are very happy!

It went really well. Tom and TJ (who did the work) were super friendly. TJ went the extra mile to make it the cleanest job he could. I didn't have to dust afterwards! I would hire TAK again for any future work.

I was having problems with the drywall in both my living room and dining room ceiling. I was always getting cracks and holes in this drywall. I repaired these holes and cracks many times but the kept coming back. I finally requested around 6 quotes from different companies and only 3 of them came out and T.A.K. Drywall was the only company that actually gave a written quote and responded like a REAL company. Good thing that I did have someone replace this ceiling drywall because a soon as T.A.K. drywall started to remove old ceiling drywall, with a simple tug on the drywall the total ceiling drywall simply Collapsed. Turns out that the adhesive that was originally used to hold the ceiling drywall in place had failed and the drywall had separated from the rafters by a good 8 inches. I cannot state how IMPRESSED I am with the work that T.A.K. Drywall preformed. They were there when the said they would, they always left the house in clean condition at the end of each day. They even avoided getting drywall dust in any other part of our house. I have yet to find a flaw in the work that was performed. T.A.K. also arranged for excellent subcontractors for adding attic Insulation and also for completely repainting both living room and dining room. I was EXTREMLY IMPRESSED to find a contractor that did everything that they said they would, when they said they would.

Here’s what sets TAK apart: 1. Tom is a proactive, highly involved, patient, friendly, never condescending, always-trying-to-help-and-add-more-value type of guy. Tom is neither overly acquiescent nor standoffish. Other folks we dealt with either assumed they knew everything about our design preferences or, on the other extreme, nodded without giving any worthwhile feedback. Tom’s the golden mean. 2. Cost - TAK is affordable - prices not so low that you wonder about quality, but 100% fair. The price tag equals materials plus a justified price for labor. There’s no markup to cover a fancy logo or sleek marketing campaign (read: Geico). 3. Discipline, hard work, and respect for his crew - Tom and the TAK crew always showed up early and got the work done ahead of schedule. Tom will come around every day of your project, sometimes twice a day, and inspect his team’s work. Not a quick lookover - a full inspection with laser measurers, wall-tapping, visually scouring all the little nooks and crannies, and fixing minor mistakes on the spot. He’d make a top-notch 1st Sergeant. Dealing with you, the customer, he’ll always pick up his phone or return your call, and he emails you a revised quote when he says he will, complete with line-by-line breakdown. If you’re throwing around less than $100K, tough luck getting that treatment with another remodeling company. 4. Quality - You’re never getting second-rate work. TAK does work on par with any of the best. We’ve had zero problems. In sum, TAK does solid work at a fair price with a great customer service attitude.

Tom, the owner, was very professional and communicated to me each day about who would be coming over, and when they would be there. TJ and Jeff did a great job with finishing our drywall and cleaning up the mess when finished. Overall we felt like the price for the job was fair, and were very happy with the result. Quality work, would use them again for sure.

It couldn't have gone more smoothly. Tom and his team communicated well and their work is fantastic. I would highly recommend them and will use them again for future projects.

Tom (owner) was professional and consistent in his commitment to quality. The work was perfection; it is impossible to identify the repair. Great quality in matching paint to existing color. If quality is your priority, I strongly recommend T.A.K. for all drywall installation/repair needs.

Good and timely communication , professional demeanor, organized & creative . Scheduled meeting & responded with quote quickly. Arrived on time, did excellent work , pleasant staff, cleaned up after themselves . When confronted with a construction challenge , came up with a creative and visually attractive solution.

Tom was very prompt in providing a revised quote, responding to changes in plans as some DIY projects we had going on didn't go as planned, and very accommodating to our needs. Jeff and the others who did the work showed up when they said they would, were friendly to us and our kids, and did excellent work. Although we were warned the project would be messy, it was much better than we anticipated. They cleaned up after themselves and gave regular updates as needed. It looks like a new house. The work was fast, and well done. If I could provide an A++ rating, I would.

Tom came and looked at what needed to be done, gave me a very detailed estimate of what would be done. He was great about keeping both my husband and me informed when there were any variations. The price was what he quoted. His team was very professional and did quality work. They were always there on time and the job was completed in the amount of time Tom estimated. Tom the owner and his crew arrived about 6:30 AM Friday morning. Delivered the dywall to the basement. By 4:30 PM the drywall was completely hung and the basement cleaned. Monday morning Tom's finishing crew was at the house for the first coat of mud. By Thursday afternoon all mudding and finish work was complete and the basement cleaned. Tom and his crew did a great job on the project. Tom explained exactly what his team was going to do and they completed everything that we had agreed upon. The quality of work was fantastic, I would hire T.A.K. again for any new projects.

Project was completed on schedule. Quality of work and attention detail was excellent. Crew was respectful and courteous.

This review is well overdue. We have used TAK for 2 projects and have been very happy both times. The first project was relatively small and included patching of our kitchen ceiling after some leak damage. This went very smoothly and we are very happy with the results. The second project was a bit larger and included replacing our basement drop ceiling with a drywall ceiling. Tom was very helpful in suggesting the changes and came through on everything he promised. The work was done on time and with high quality. This second project also included some custom work on a hidden bookcase door. The carpenter was excellent and wasn't annoyed because he had to fix some of my amateur attempts. This finished project is awesome!. Definitely will use TAK again.

The experience was excellent. The installers were prompt and added an extra piece around a light fixture to ensure the finished trim would compliment the ceiling. Tom, the owner, came out a few days later to do the final application of mud to the nail holes. Originally we needed to have someone come out ASAP because we were having family guests staying with us. They were able to get out and complete the work very quickly.

It went amazing. I could not be happier with TAK, originally I had a few companies out to bid my project and at first I had gone with another company. WORST mistake I could have made. I called Tom after a nightmare dealing with the other company and he said he was sorry I was put through all that, but they were able to get me on the schedule just a few days later. Day 1 I met one of the workers, we went over what needed to be done and he got to work. Over the course of the week, it was like I had little basement elves finishing the work in my basement. Even after the first coat, it looked awesome. I had hung all the drywall myself in the basement and I am no professional. And they were able to cover all of my imperfections. The only thing that could have been better was if I would have chosen TAK first and not dealt with all the headaches. Tom was very professional and answered all of my emails no matter how late or small. If you are looking for someone to come in and do the work right without headaches TAK is the place to go.

Tom Rothengass replied to my request right away and came out promptly to look over our project. He gave us good advice on what we should do before having him do any work. We will take his advise and talk to him again in the spring. He gave us different estimates based on some of the work we were looking at doing. He sent us a proposal right away also. Very personable and told us helpful information before starting this project. We like him very much and appreciated his honesty. We will look to Tom again when we get our part done and in the springtime when we can be working in the garage area. (garage is 3 1/2 car)

It went very well and smoother than I thought it would. Everything was explained to us and each day followed through just as it was explained. Each day I received phone calls as to the time they would arrive. Tom was on top of everything and let me know what was happening. Each crew had different jobs. They were all pleasant, on time, did exactly what they said they would. They were very neat and cleaned up everything when the job was done. We are very pleased with the work they did. The ceiling and walls look beautiful!
