Merry Maids of East Peoria

Description of Work: This isn't a fair assessment for two reasons: (1) if I had let them know of my dissatisfaction, I am sure they would have come back and made it right, and (2) I am not a good candidate for having my house cleaned in that I have much too many nicknacks and clutter. It was more work for me to get the house ready for them to clean than if I had just done the quick-and-dirty task myself. | On the plus side, they were very fast and energetic. Two of them finished my 2000 sq.ft. house in less than two hours. They dust-mopped the ceilings and walls, hand-washed the kitchen and bathroom floors, scrubbed the bathroom fixtures, vacuumed, and dusted. | The end result was on a par with what I do myself: a lick-and-promise. No furniture was moved, corners were missed, areas that aren't out in the open weren't dusted. | I had expected more, but again, I'm sure they would have come back had I complained. My advice to anyone using any cleaning service would be to express your expectations fully before signing up.

Description of Work: We have had Merry Maids from East Peoria clean our house 5 times in last 3 months. First two times were "deep cleaning", scrubbing floors on hands and knees, baseboards, sinks, mirrors, EVERYTHING (except windows). 3 of them worked 4 hours each visit (we have a 4100ft2 house with 7 bedrooms, 4 baths). They did a GREAT job, and even I was happy (I am very picky). Each of the 2 "deep cleans" cost me approx $300, but since then we have them come back every couple of weeks to do a "moderate" clean on the whole house (usually 2 or 3 women show up) and each time they will do a deeper clean on one particular area, rotating each time. It typically costs ~$150 to do this 2x per month cleaning. They are very professional, nice, and they all work hard.
