+ -1 moreThe six man crew showed up on sat morn 8:30 proceeded to tear off the old roof when they had enough off part of the crew started installing the new roof the crew was very courteous and done an excellent job they cleaned up at the end of the day witch was 4:30 pm returned the next morning about 9:00 am on a SUNDAY and worked for about four hours to finish the job they roofed my house and a small storage shed in the cold temps in the 30s and dropping I would use them again anytime excellent company and I dealt directly with the owner Joshua is a super guy.

Description of Work: I need a new roof. They said they were in the same town and close by. I never heard from them.. It has been over a month. I have had 2 other roofing contractors come by and give me bids. Harolds never responded again. If they are that lax about giving bids what kind of service can one expect from them....I would never use them just based on this unprofessionalism..

Description of Work: tore off old shingles and re-roofed entire house and garage, except dormers. we had dormers done a couple of years ago, and they did not make me have to include dormers in the job. |they came back and finished on a saturday, so they would get it done by the date i had wanted it to be done by. the estimator was a very nice young gentleman.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. The contractor came and explained the details. We negotiated the price down a little bit, then work started a few days later. The laborer were friendly and courteous. I even delivered one of their babies when I worked at Community Health Care. They begin working. We expected them to be completed within three days but because of the weather, it was delayed for another day. They worked replacing the shingles and cleaned up their mess.
Description of Work: Removed the damaged shingles, cleaned up wastes, install felt paper, intall ice + water guard, install new shingles and vents.

He was very thorough and knowledgable about how repairs needed to be made how insurance worked and paid for the damage etc. In the end I could not repair roof because of insurance not covering damage. If I have any roof work that I have done it will definitely be with this company as I can see the quality through this experience. I recommend this company.

+ -1 moresee above. My advice, clearly ask Josh when he will be out and if it's not to your standards - call AGAPE Construction.
Description of Work: I had called for a quote on an issue that was causing water to leak in. Josh sounded nice enough on the phone and left me with the impression he was going to be out the same day to give me an estimate. When I didn't hear back from him, I called him first thing the following morning and he wasn't even sure if he'd be able to "squeeze" me in that 2nd day. I'm sorry but if you have water leaking in your roof & you're not even sure what's causing it, I just don't know how many days you can wait for a simple quote. And I was concerned that if I had to be squeezed in for a quote, how long would an actual repair take? I called another company & they were out the same day & preformed the simple fix. They also will be providing us a quote to replace our singles in the future.

Description of Work: Josh provided an estimate and completed the roofing job prior to the cold weather in November 2012. The crew took the utmost care in protecting our brand new landscape installed a year ago. Our roof is large, VERY steep and the crew needed to use toe-boards. The job was completed in 4 workdays. The workers were easy to talk to and very professional in every way. As desired, the crew also replaced a Velux skylight as I desired. They also replaced a section of gutter with the next larger size as it overlowed during periods of very heavy rain. Cleanup was superb. I would recommend Harold's Roofing without hesitation.

+ -1 moreI have to say that this company is one of the best companies that I have ever dealt with. Believe me I don't give that comment easily. My roof was completed on time and with the best crew that I've seen. Many of my neighbors had their roofs redone and the crew at Harold's Roofing is the only one that I have seen so far that wears safety equipment and is very respectful of the other neighbors (no yelling, swearing or loud music) just really nice hard working professional people. The foreman, Anthony, does a great job with his crew! Josh (owner) was at the job site each day and did a total inspection of the job during work and when the job was completed. We did have very heavy winds one day and his crew had to leave early. Josh made it a point to come to my house and explain why they left early even though it was obvious that it wasn't safe to be on a roof. He assured me that they were still on schedule and the job would be done on time which it was. The crew cleaned the job site each day and at the end of the job. Josh also did a walk around and made sure nothing was left, he gave extra attention to my back yard because I have dogs who could get hurt. My roof is very new so I can't comment on the longevity of the workmanship but it looks great and has held up well so far in rain and wind. I am confident that if I do have a problem that Josh and his team at Harold's Roofing will take care of it. If you need a roof replacement I would strongly recommend this company. Make sure you add them to your list of interviews.
Description of Work: We had a total roof replacement. It was very difficult for me to choose a roofer due to very poor experiences that I had in another state with contractors. We picked Harold's Roofing because of Josh Ackerland (owner). He came to our home, gave a detailed estimate and took as much time as we needed to answer all of our questions. Josh came across to me as a genuine person who would do what ever it takes to get the job done right. One thing that really sold me was when he said that if there was any problems during of after the job that he would address the problem personally. I had four estimates for the roof replacement and Josh's quote was in line with all the others. I chose to go with my gut and take the contractor who really seemed like customer service was very important to his business. Josh Ackerland was that man. I can say now that I made the perfect decision.
