+ -1 moreThis summer we had work done on our house using 3 different contractors for 3 different projects. Bornhoeft was the only one who did the work when they said they would in the time they said they would for the price they said they would. Very nice and professional people to deal with. We highly recommend them.

Found out that Bornhoeft isn't currently taking new clients with boilers BUT they actually gave me the name and telephone number of another company! That's great customer service!

+ -1 moreThey came the same day that I called. They were very reasonable when I used them before so I used them again. It was less than what other people had told me that they thought that it would cost to get it fixed. I think they charged me a reasonable price.
Description of Work: I used Bornhoeft Heating & Air Conditioning Inc in January because my heater quit working. They put a new motor in the furnace.

Description of Work: Bornhoeft was called to clean and service our home furnace. I had purchased the home the fall of 2010 and had not serviced the furnace last year. It was important to me to get good service and an honest estimate of the condition of the furnace. The tech that performed the service was extremely knowledgable and efficiient. Within the hour he had checked and cleaned the furnace. My furnace has a humidifer on it, which I did not think was working properly. Last fall I had cleaned it but we had a portable unit that we ran all winter. The tech explained that the controls were not installed in the best place and that the sensor was picking up humidified air. He said the unit was working and tolld me what I needed to do to huidify the home. When I called for the appointment I was told the cost was $85.00 for the furnace service and that is what I was billed and paid. Overall I was very pleased with the company and would surely use Bornhoeft again.

+ -1 moreContacted company at 9 am for a service call for a air conditioner that was cool but not cold. Had icing on outside lines. Was informed that a serviceman would give me a call when he was avalible. I recieved a call around 2:30 to meet serviceman in about 15 to 30 min for access to redesidence. Serviceman was very professional and on time. After explaining the problem, he explained the issues of keeping the condencer cleaned and clear. He checked all other items that might be causing issues with my system. He was very courtious and professional with the laymen peering over his shoulder taking the time to explain what he was doing. In less than an hour he had my AC blasting cold air. Was very pleased with this company and will not hesitate to call in the future.

+ -1 moreI called on a Friday morning around 8 am, and they were out about 10:40 the same morning. My brother was supposed to let them in so I could work, they called him several times, and he didn't answer, so they called me and gave me the time to drive home, about 20 minutes. He ended up not having to do anything, I hadn't changed my air filter in several months and the whole system froze up. He told me to turn it off for several hours and it should thaw (it was about 90 degrees that day) and then put in a new air filter. He told me what to look for to make sure it doesn't happen again, and what types of general maintenance I should do for my air conditioning.

+ -1 moreMy furnace went out in the middle of the night - I stayed home from work and called 2 companies. While waiting for a return call - the temperature in my house was at 45 degrees. I got on Angie's List and found Bornhoeft with their good report. The experience was incredible - from the initial phone conversation - through the service call. Bornhoeft employees were concerned that I did not have heat and responded very quickly. (The other companies - put me on a list and said I would have to pay overtime.) Also, When paying for the parts and service, I explained that I had just bought new tires for my daughter for Christmas and would not get paid until 15 Dec 09. This was not a problem for Bornhoeft. I highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: Nine year old Rheem furnace - needing a new motor. My house is along the River, therefore the furnace is in the attic - and difficult to get to and work on. Steven, the service technician did not complain and I had to tell him - twice - that he did not need to take his boots off.

Description of Work: Annual service call to check and tune up the air conditioner. He cleaned the condenser, checked the thermostat, drain, blower, motor, electrical and refrigerant. Replaced the filter. Gave us a report saying, "77 amb 65#/210# 70 deg in evap 50 deg out 20 deg delta T."
