because of all the hail damage in the neighborhood, we did play phone tag for about three days. when he presented the estimate for my roof, it was right on with my insurance company. I liked that he left samples of shingles to choose from and even told me about Fisher lumber. fisher lumber provided larger samples, and it help with my decision. His crew was prompt and got right to work. It was a time of three digit heat, and he made sure there was plenty of water, and actually stayed at the site to moniter his workers for heat exhaustion. yes, they quit at noon, but I would not have felt comfortable if they stayed up on a hot roof passed noon. he seemed to really care about the safety of his workers. The final result was excellent! The crew cleaned up my yard without any extras work for me. When he came for the final walk through, everything was explained in detail. very professional. not once did I feel intimidated, or felt he was trying to get over on the single divorcee. I am a single woman and have had my share of workers trying to cheat me. he had the best warranty on product and labor. with so many people needing work done do to hail damage, will find it difficult to hire someone trustworthy. Arrived on time and got right to work. The crew consisted of the owner and 4 other workers, all of them worked together - like a team who had been working together for some time. Very professional and very polished in their work. Finished the roof faster than I would have believed but took no shortcuts. Very effective and businesslike in their work. After finishing the roof itself, they performed a thorough cleanup and hauled away all debris from the job. They even hauled away a few extra's at my request and at no extra charge! About the quality of the work: they used a 4 nail pattern on the shingles, used a higher quality felt (30#) than is typical (15#) for the area, also used a synthetic underlay as first run to assure long term waterproofing near the gutters. Warranted the labor for an impressive 12 years- and the shingles they used came with a lifetime warranty. All in all, the entire crew showed a lot of pride in their work and I was very pleased, as well as somewhat impressed. I would certainly use this company again, and will happily recommend them to my friends. I selected this company because of a recommendation from a friend, and because they have been around for some 30 years... I am glad that I chose them!
