Description of Work: After numerous problems that were not corrected after our several complaints we posted a negative view of Eagle Home Improvement on Angies' website. That prompted a call from Eagle and they were out to fix problems quickly. Now the area around our chimney is leaking into the garage, with the onset of periods of rain. I called and spoke to Chris over a month ago and he was going to send someone out that day (it was very windy and wet). I suggested he wait a couple of days. Mistake! I haven't seen nor heard of them since. No calls, nothing. We are disgusted. |Another problem that developed. Numerous roofing nails were left in the surrounding lawn and driveway. They sent a young man around with a magnet to collect them, (wouldn't tarps have worked better?) but we are still finding them and we had to have a car tire replaced because of a roofing nail found in it. I would never hire these people again.

Description of Work: electric weatherhead replaement;contractor Eagle Construction;sub contracted out to a electric contractor out of Troy,ILL.Eagle Construction.when salesman came out to look at job and give estimate, I informed him he had to check with the City Inspector on the type of conduit that is allowed by the city; the day the electric contractor came out and looked at the job and called his boss,he was informed that the weather head and conduit going into the electric box had to be replaced;there for the contract had to be changed,and a new service date set up once the contract was re written ,called Eagle and talked to salesman was not happy having to explain to said salesman again concerning city ordinance concerning type of conduit required.After getting this straight,called contractor back to set up a date for installation; electrical contractor showed up on time ,did a good job,installing weather head did a fair job installing conduit from meter into electric box; fair job of cleaning up I had to go out and finish cleaning up around meter

+ 1 moreRoof looks great and company was easy to deal with. The job was extremely sloppy however. Materials left behind, exposed nails not caulked, chimney not properly caulked, and gutter guards installed wrong and some damaged/missing. Job was on Friday and they called on Monday to set up final payment. When I told them of the issues, they dispatched a crew to fix the issues, but the real problem here is that they should never have happened and they should have either inspected the roof or called right after the job. I shouldn't have had to get up on the roof to check at all. The only excuse I got for the issues was that they were trying to finish up before it rained. Excusable if they planned on coming back to finish the job, but it didn't appear as if that was going to happen. I wasn't going to write a review but I felt it was necessary to share with other members and the company itself.

+ 0 moreThe salesman came on time and was adequately prepared to answer all questions about the project, materials, etc. Pricewise, they came in about the middle. I chose them because I was most impressed with the actual product they were going to use on the house, which was a vinyl "hidden vent" soffit which looked much better than the cheese-grater style several other contractors were offering. I had two neighors who used their services and gave good reviews so that put them over the top for me. They came exactly when they said they would to do the work. Very polite, worked hard, cleaned up after themselves. No problems whatsoever. I would definitely give them a try again for other work in the future.

Description of Work: We had the homes siding replaced, screened in porch updated and replaced our old deck. They did an excellent job with both, were very punctual and very responsive to coming back if we noticed any problems after the work was done. + 0 moreEagle showed up on the scheduled date, cleaned the roof off completely down to the decking. They then laid roofing paper/tar paper on the whole roof, followed by new roofing tiles and roof vents. They had a crew large enough to complete it all in one day, including a complete yard clean-up. All of which was an excellent job. Eagle was hired for this job because of previous similiar work done in this Villa complex in late 2011.

Also, John and Brian, the gentlemen who came to do the installation showed up exactly on time, did the work in less time than expected, did a super job of cleaning up after themselves, and were extremely polite and pleasant. I would absolutely use them again and recommend Eagle to do work in your home. Thank you, Eagle for the great job!!!

+ 1 moreEHI provided a schedule a week before arrival, stating: what Villas would be done; which day; what time they would start each day. They kept to the schedule which included rain days (only one was needed). The EHI crews were professional in demeanor, punctual and friendly with the WHA residents.. No damage was done to landscaping or other propertiy of WHA. The EHI crews cleaned up at the end of every work day. No nails or screws were left. All trash generated during the day was picked up and disposed of. WHA and I personnally would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Storm damage to roofs, gutters, downspouts, siding to The Villas Of Winneberg in Golden Eagle, Calhoun County, IL. The Winneberg Homeowners Association (WHA) went out for bids and received four (4). Eagle Home Improvement (EHI)/Window and Siding/Guttering was the bid submitted. EHI's bid was comprehensive, scheduled out and complete. All bidders were given a copy of the insurance company's assessment report for their bids. I was the point of contact for the WHA for the bids and the final contract with EHI. 1. Five complete roofs were replaced with tar paper on the whole roof and lifetime architectural shingles.3 roofs had patch work done with matching shingles. 2. All 9 Villas had all damaged gutters and downspouts replaced. 3. All 9 Villas had all damaged siding replace with matching siding.
