RANDALL PLUMBING

I called Randall Plumbing and talked to the son who came out immediately. After viewing and diagnosing the problem, I was informed that the part needed to be ordered but could be installed the next day. The "estimate" given several times was $100 - $125 including parts maximum. Since I was not available the next day, a neighbor was there to oversee the repair. Several days later I received a bill in the mail for $210.00 of which $170.00 was labor. I immediately called and talked with Tom. After expressing my problem with the bill I was told that "it is what it is". I suggested he talk to his son who gave me the estimate and call me back. He was not willing to do that and repeated "it is what it is". After informing him that I would have to seek another plumber for my next repair, he responded, "you gotta do what you gotta do". Needless to say, there was no compromise. The response and diagnosis by his son was terrific, but the owner is impossible to deal with and obviously doesn't care about future work. The quality is good but the estimate isn't worth squat!
