I'd like to compliment JNL, and especially President John Beening, for a great job replacing our three HVAC systems in our home. I've been in the commercial HVAC business for 39 years in another state prior to retirement. I interviewed four companies for our project. John personally walked our home with me, gave some great suggestions, and was competitive with his pricing. The JNL crew showed up on time and completed the project ahead of schedule. That's about all you can ask for. I'm very comfortable recommending JNL to all that are are looking at them for a solution.

Arrived right on time and fabricated new plenum and duct right out of the truck. They worked the whole 8 hours straight and cleaned up nicely. Very professional.

The tech was on time, courteous and resolved the issue in 10 minutes. The problem was due to the tenant using a filter that was not optimal for the furnace. The tech replaced the furnace and got the issue resolved. The company billed me $182 under the pretext of a trip charge and a complete service call. The tech asked me if he should complete a complete check up - I declined and said I will defer as they had completed the check last year. The tech was honest and understanding - did not push the issue. But their back office people charged me anyway. The company gouges customers - beware of their unethical practices - their focus is on overcharging for the value they provide. The back office people are hard to deal with and are not customer friendly

As someone who used to work in the commercial and residential HVAC industry I was very impressed with the JNL team's knowledge, professionalism and pride in work they perform. We needed our air conditioner replaced in July and they were able to schedule then complete the installation within three days. Two experienced technicians completed the installation within fours hours and we have not had any issues. The company owner Joh, provided the estimate and followed up after the installation to ensure we were 100% satisfied. JNL is one of the few local contractors I exclusively recommend.

Very well. Installers were very professional, clean and thorough. Finished on time and explained the whole system and operation completely. I would use them again.

They’re awesome. It has nothing to do with it what-so-ever, but my nephew used to work for them. He doesn’t work for them anymore, but we still have their service come. The cost was very good. We’re on a contract. They are adaptable to any kind of system, whether it’s an apartment or a full home. They’re able to offer a lot of alternatives whether it’s replacement or repair. They’re fast and efficient. I’ve been with them three years.

They’re good whether you need to replace or repair. They address any hidden problems quickly and they’re willing to work with you for installation times.

They are a top notch firm. I would give them A across-the-board. They are just a really good company. We have used them for several years and used them after having a bad experience with another company.

I think they have quality technicians. I think they're very responsive to meeting their obligations, and they're very considerate of the needs of the homeowner.

I've used only JNL for HVAC and water heater service/replacement in my home for over 20 years. I'm sure they aren't the cheapest option out there, but they don't cut corners. I trust JNL to be fair and they always do great work!

Our experience with JNL Climate Control was superior from the very first contact for a quotation all the way through to the final approval by the city inspector. John and his team provided everything I asked for and more without hesitation and without any hassles. The quality and value we received and the workmanship performed was outstanding and would strongly recommend JNL to anyone needing a new HVAC equipment.

We've been using JNL for the past 25 years - as long as we've owned houses. They replaced our air conditioner and heater at the same time to a higher efficiency model. For many years now we've had the same technician, Andy. He is always on time (even early some times), professional, polite and can explain exactly what he's doing in terms you understand. We now have a standing service agreement with them. Takes all the worry out of it.

The technician arrived within the time window that we were told. He service our furnace and explained that everything looked good and our furnace was ready for the winter season.

I've been using JNL for the past few years and have been very impressed with their level of service. I purchased a new air conditioner and a new humidifier from them and am very pleased with their recommendations. Excellent service. Prompt, efficient and competent. Also, very pleasant people to deal with.

He was extremely professional, he explained everything in a jargon I could understand. He was a very good teacher and explained things thoroughly. I think their prices are very reasonable.

On March 6, 2015, I received "Your 2015 Energy Savings Agreement (ESA) Renewal" from JNL Climate Control, Inc. that included an agreement to service my air conditioner, furnace, and humidifier for $178.00. When I called on 3/30/15 to accept the terms of this agreement and charge $178.00 to my credit card, JNL informed me there had been a mistake and they would not honor the contract at this price. Later that same day I received a call from one of the owners who said that though JNL had made a mistake, they would honor the $178.00 contract price. In view of the fact that I had spent about $1,000 with JNL during the last year under a previous service contract and they were quibbling over $30, I decided I no longer wanted to do business with JNL. Accordingly, I declined to renew my agreement with JNL Climate Control.

I like their professionalism and their ability to explain. They were willing to be frugal with my money and explain what would be the best efficiency without having to pay the most money. When I said 98% efficient, I think that's good. They said there's really not much difference between 91% and 98% efficient. He's said, most people will not be able to notice that type of money difference in their statement. He said, I'm more than willing to let you pay the extra but that's not necessary and you're not going to get your money back unless in the house for the rest of your life. I've used them for 14 years. This is the third furnace that I've had replaced in the same house. It's not the same house. Every time I move I end up with a bum furnace.

We needed a new furnace, AC, and humidifier. We had received a coupon in the mail with discounts on it from JNL. Knowing he was on Angie's list, we called him for an estimate. We didn't need the high-end furnace and AC which was what the coupons were for. However, he gave us 1/2 of the coupon's value which helped with our end estimate. His price was very competitive. We got 3 estimates and were impressed with Kurt and JNL from the start. His presentation was by far the most informative. He explained everything thoroughly, had literature that we could review, and answered all of our questions with knowledge and confidence.He was the only one to measure the house so he could figure out the size of furnace and AC we needed to properly heat and cool our house. Pressure to buy??? - ABSOLUTELY NOT! There wasn't any needed. His knowledge about his product and the confidence he has in his product sold itself. If I had a question or just wanted to contact Kurt about something, he was prompt in answering my emails. He stopped by the house while the furnace was being installed to see how things were going. His installers were right on time, polite, efficient, neat, friendly, and professional. Before they left, they made sure we understood the in's and out's of the furnace and made sure we knew how to operate the new thermostat. From getting the estimate through the final instructions on how to operate things, we couldn't have been more pleased. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND JNL Climate Control, Inc.

I've used him for years but this was our latest purchase with him. The owner came out and gave us an estimate and options of different air conditioners. He reccomended the best one for our house. They are always courteous and very polite. The workers wear booties so that they don't leave dirt in your house. They are always very professional and ready to work. That's what I really like about them, I trust them.

JNL Climate Control did and excellent job. Kurt came out in the spring and gave me an estimate. I told him I wasn't quite ready yet and to call me back towards the end of summer. He called and we reviewed the details of the estimate. It was a good no pressure experience. Being an Engineer and having done things like this before in my younger days, I can appreciate the labor and craftsmanship that goes into a job like this. All the workers professional and friendly. I would highly recommend JNL Climate Control. Well done guys.

First red flag should have been the $98 service fee to just knock on my door. Mistakenly thought higher price translates to higher quality. Serviceman was prompt, professional and respectful. Problem is, he said he saw what the problem was and that it would cost another $114 to fix it. I said okay. He did this and that (I'm not knowledgeable of the details, that's why I call a service) and he said I'd be fine. I paid the total $212. It was not a day for air conditioning, so we didn't turn it on. Well, leak was exactly the same next humid day I had the air on. No improvement at all. They did come back twice to try and fix the problem, but it is exactly as it was prior to their ever showing up. Then, get this, the new estimate comes in at $1500!! Wasn't the $98 supposed to cover getting a true estimate? Never was I told that the $115, should I decide to invest, could grow to $1500. Then I was told, put a towel under the leak to sop up the water during the summer. Are you kidding? That's what I was doing before I called them to fix it. I paid the extra $114 to have a leak stopped, not to get a new estimate and not to be told to put a rag under the leak. C'mon. I have no problem losing the $98; I agreed to that and that is my bad and my lesson learned. But the other $114 should have been refunded because they did not provide the service they promised in exchange for that $114. Their view is that they put in the effort, so they are entitled to the money. If you are a person who works hard for their money and/or you value your money, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a reputable company that will not keep money when they fail to do the job that they agree to. I want to be fair and say that with the exception of the slick owner who just talked gobbly-g*** circles around me not wanting to refund the money, explaining what a wonderful job he did, everyone in the company that I dealt with from the service tech to the office folks were always respectful, responsive and professional, both in conversation and in my home, so no problems on that front. They just couldn't fix the leak, but pocketed my money.

They are really good. They were very professional. Whatever they replaced wasn't working, so they showed up the next day and took care of everything and they were reasonably priced. They took care of everything correctly. Two guys showed up and then later on that night the furnace did only go up to 66, so then I called them. The guy on service said they will come and I said I that I am not paying that money. So the guy that came the day before showed up and he checked the boiler, checked all the stuff and I asked how much I owe you and he said nothing. So they were very professional, very honest. I felt like they did a great job. They were totally fine. I thought the price was fair. I do like them. I've used them in the past.

Kevin and Andrew came out to do the installation. They were on time, friendly, neat, quick and proficient. Even though it was a very cold and snowy day, they got our A/C disconnected and removed. They removed our 19 year old furnace and installed a newer higher energy efficient unit. They covered our floors so as not to scratch them while they were bringing things in and out of the garage. They wore booties and were very respectful of not tracking anything in the house. They installed new PVC piping and ran it to the outside of the house in a location that is less noticeable on the outside. Everything is solid, secure and neatly done. They finished early and cleaned up the basement better than they found it.

The overall experience was very very positive even though I didn't accept JNL's proposal. Everyone was extremely professional including the lady answering the phone. Kurt showed up about 15 minutes late but again was very pleasant and professional. We walked through the house discussing what needed to be changed, sizes, etc. He then went through a long sales pitch selling his company which all sounded great. I received bids from other contractors and none of them left me with brochures, etc. which would have been very helpful since it is tough to capture everything while they are talking. JNL only offers American Standard and the final price was $2,000 more than the other two bids I had already received. I received a fourth bid after JNL and that was much lower as well. I spoke with Kurt and told him my concerns on the pricing - he did keep mentioning its all about the installation and that most companies are just going to slap in the appliances and go - He ended up lowering his bid by $500. I ended up going with a different company that offered comparable installation at a much lower price. American Standard is top of the line and it was just not within my budget. I did a lot of research and also discussed with a buddy in the industry and came to the conclusion that the price difference wasn't worth the additional perceived quality. The warranties offered by JNL were not as good as the other three companies. They all offered 10 year parts and labor, lifetime on the compressor and heat exchanger. JNL offers 10 years on parts, 5 years on labor, lifetime on the heat exchanger and only 10 years on the compressor. The only criticism I would have is the negative comments about the other bidders. All 4 companies talked negatively about their competition when mentioned by name, however, as professional as Kurt was/is I would have liked to see him avoid that. I would have loved to have done business with JNL because of their professionalism and honesty. I even tried to get him to up-sell me and he didn't take the bait. The bottom line is I took a some risk with another company to save $1,500. I strongly encourage you to request a proposal from JNL and if their bid is in the ballpark of your other bids I recommend JNL highly.
