Not very good. Work was done the end of 2012 and I'm still upset. Had problems after problems. Master bedroom had to be redone as there was fuzz from the roller on the wall. The wallpaper job in the master bath is so bad that I am getting it finally removed. Plus, to this day, there are areas with glue left over from the job everywhere - ceilings, on the paper itself. Portions of the basement had to be redone (after arguing with the owner) as the edging was not the same (flat) as the rest of the wall (semi-gloss). The owner had the nerve to tell me that he gave me the "C Team". My job cost around $10,000 and he gave me the "C Team"! At the end of the job, I was told that the owner would follow up with me in a couple of months (as he knew I was upset) and he never did. Please look around for another company.
Description of Work: Painting - master bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and entire basement. Wallpaper in master bathroom.

Not well. Several years later I am still regretting that I hired them. The wallpaper they put up in the master bath never was right & there was glue everywhere (ceilings, on the wallpaper itself). I finally just had it removed only to find out that it was not put up correctly and it was a nightmare to remove. Now I have to have the walls repaired before I can paint. Portions of the basement had to be redone as you could see where the edging did not match with the wall. There are lap marks in the basement as well as in the kitchen. The master bedroom had to be redone as there was fuzz on the walls due to the type of roller they used. The owner had the nerve to actually tell me that he gave me the "C Team" to do work on my house! Guess a $9,000 job didn't qualify for the "A Team". That statement has proved to be very accurate.

The subcontractors were great. The owners, who were supposed to be there everyday but were not, tried to increase the cost throughout the job. We are lucky we had a contract. I will not use them again nor would I recommend them. Not because of the quality of the work, the workmen did great work, but because of the aggravation of the owners.

They did a pretty good job, however we recently noticed that the paint was coming off hallway doors very easily - fingernail easy. It's pretty clear that the surface of the doors was not prepared will prior to painting. We called True Blue who said that they would not be able to rectify this situation.

Horrible a complete nightmare.
Description of Work: In 2007 I hired this company to paint my home at 9032 Sheridan Ave in Brookfield, Illinois. The contract specified and I specifically discussed with the owner that the wood needed to be properly prepared and that it would be “scraped, sanded, primed and caulked” prior to the paint being applied. The conversation was specific because of the work my spouse had completed in a section of the front porch took a significant amount of time. The owner assured me that preparing the wood would be no problem and that the company guaranteed the “workmanship” for 4 years. During the initial paint job in June 2007 I came home to find the painters were caulking the bottom of the lap siding. I told them to immediately stop and remove the caulk because sealing up the underside of the lap siding would ruin it and cause moisture to accumulate underneath. I was very unhappy and concerned about this error and called the owner immediately. The foreman came by and said it would be OK as the subcontractors had only incorrectly applied the caulk to a small area and were they able to remove most of the caulk. Once the initial pint job was completed I was disappointed but the owner stated it turned out great and would look good for many years to come. Since the contract was executed in April 2007 and the initial paint job was completed in July 2007 the painting subcontractors have been to my home no less than 4 times to correct the “workmanship.” First in September 2007, less than 3 months after the initial paint job the side of the house where the caulk was improperly applied (also the most obvious) was bubbling and peeling. They peeled the bubbling paint spot primed and spot painted. The siding and paint job looked bad but you said it was the best that could be expected on an old house. We discussed the caulk issue and the owner said not to worry because he would honor the 4 year warranty. After the 2007/2008 winter the house looked bad again. We started calling in March 2008 and a new crew showed up in June 2008 to correct chipping peeling and bubbling paint in the same location and also in several other areas including the back of the house on the new siding. Again the owner stated it was a problem with the wood being old. However the new wood in the rear of the house was also having issues so I disagreed with that conclusion. My thought was the house was not properly prepared and that was why the paint was peeling. Plus I believed the caulk was not removed and moisture was might be causing problems as well. The third visit was fall 2008, we were experiencing the same issues with peeling and bubbling paint. Again when I asked about the issues with the paint the foreman stated it was the wood underneath. When I looked at the front of the house where my spouse prepared the siding there were few if any issues. Again they spot primed and painted and moved on. At this point I contacted my attorney who stated that since they were honoring the warranty by showing up to correct the issues, that was the best I could hope for. In April 2009 we called again with even more peeling and cracking, now on every side of the house, except where my spouse had prepared the wood siding. We repeatedly called throughout the summer of 2009 and it was a no show on several occasions. Finally in early September 2009 the owner and his brother showed up to address the peeling bubbling and cracking of the paint on my home. The comment was that “a paint job is only as good as the material under the paint.” They both stood in the street in front of my home raising voices and blaming me for the siding being a bad foundation for the paint job. After that heated discussion they sent a worker to scrape and paint again, it was September 15, 2009. This time the worker scrapped the siding and used a long fiber roller brush to apply the paint. There were chips and spots all over the home and the house looked worse than ever. After a discussion with my spouse where I expressed my frustration your worker threatened to walk off the job. Unfortunately he finished painting and the paint that was applied was the wrong color and the wrong sheen. We called twice and asked them to correct the problem. They said they would not come back and I could “see them in court.” The 2010 winter was over and I wrote to ask once again to correct the paint job on my home. The same areas are peeling and cracking and there are two shades and colors and two sheens applied. My home looks ridiculous. I strongly believe the original crew did not properly prepare the wood, they incorreclty caulked under the lap siding and that the “workmanship” was overall shotty. After three years my house has been spot painted 4 times. The paint job and siding is a mess and it will cost me thousands to correct the problem. I have been living this nightmare for almost 3 years so it will come as no surprise that I do not recommend this company.

Their pricing is very reasonable and they did a very good job. They are good painters, I mean very good. They even did a little extra patching at no extra cost.
