Description of Work: This place is top notch. First, I have to say I love the fact that off duty firemen perform chimney cleaning. Who else would know better about creosote build-up and chimney problems than a firefighter. The service was excellent, the technician was knowledgable and I received exactly what I paid for, a thorough chimney cleaning at a fair price. Will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: I am having a new dryer installed on Monday, 4/23/12. Needed someone out to clean the dryer vent prior to the arrival of the new dryer. Called Soot Yourself on Friday, 4/20 and they came the next day, 4/21/12. He arrived on time and was very efficient. I would definitely use this company again and would refer neighbors and friends to them.

+ -1 moreTHERE HAD BEEN A PROBLEM WITH OUR HOME PHONE AND I HAD NOT LEFT A CELL NUMBER FOR THE COMPANY TO REACH ME AT. I CALLED SOOT YOURSELF THE MORNING OF OUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT TO VERIFY THE TIME DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER THAT DAY (BAD SNOW) AND DISCUSS OUR PHONE PROBLEMS. SOOT YOURSELF HAD BEEN TRYING TO REACH ME AND DID KNOW OF MY PHONE PROBLEMS AND HAD WANTED TO TELL ME THEY WOULD STILL BE OUT AS SCHEDULED. I WAS HIGHLY IMPRESSED WITH THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE AS WELL AS THE OVERALL SERVICE THEY GAVE US FOR OUR FIREPLACE. THE OWNER DID THE SERVICE CALL, HE WAS VERY POLITE, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HELPFUL TO US. HE WAS ALSO VERY CLEAN AND PUT DOWN COVERS ON OUR FLOORS TO KEEP THINGS CLEAN. I ALSO RECEIVED A 10% ANGIES LIST DISCOUNT WHICH WAS ALSO MUCH APPRECIATED.

THEY RECOMMENDED REPLACING SOME FLEXIBLE TUBING, SHOWED ME THE PROBLEM AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF TIME AND COST($50). WE DID NOT HAVE A CHIMNEY CAP, SO THEY INSTALLED ONE. THEY USED TARPS AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY SHOWED ME HOW TO WORK THE FIREPLACE SINCE I HAD NEVER USED IT. THE OWNER AND ALL WORKERS ARE OFF DUTY FIREFIGHTERS. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL. WE RECEIVED A 10% ANGIE'S LIST DISCOUNT. AFTER THE WORK WAS PERFORMED THEY CALLED TO MAKE SURE WE WERE SATISFIED. VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE.
