They came and did an estimate in a prompt manner. We chose to go with them out of 3 other estimate. They helped us pick the right paint, which was a solid color stain for the cedar. They did the work on time and with in the duration. Price came in a bit higher than estimated as more of the sill plate was rotted than we had initially thought. Update...in 2014 a few areas of their work were peeling. The owner met with us in the beginning of the summer and agreed some of it was warranty work that they would fix. Another area may have been due to water damage. He said he would have his roofer check if the one area was water damage. It basically took all of summer and into fall with many phone calls, emails and even a surprise visit to their office before the warranty work was repaired which did not happen until October. On the bright side, their roofer guy did come and calked a small area that may have been causing the water damage and they did repaint the area with the water damage even though it was not warranty work. The only disappointing part of this situation was their lack of responsiveness and failure to return calls. Extremely frustrating considering how much money we spent on their work in 2012. We will not use their service again because of this.
Description of Work: They painted the exterior of our Cedar Siding home. Also we had a rotted sill plate along about the half of back side of the house. They also replaced this.

Description of Work: They were prompt, careful, consulted with us, and when the worker was finished, the boss came to check on it. A first class job, a little on the costly side, but it was worth it.

NoName Painters did an overall excellent job and provided me a very positive house painting experience. The office staff, painting crew, and carpenter all displayed a high level of professionalism .... providing good communication with the customer along the way. They were responsive in getting out to do the initial estimate and they kept me appraised of the scheduled start date as they were backed-up about 5 weeks with a number of jobs in the queuel They showed up to start the job when they said they would. They took care in covering walkways and plants and vacuumed up paint chips from the extensive scraping that took place. They respected my property and cleaned up well at the end of each day. One carpenter did all the board replacement work. Pre-primed cedar (primed on all sides) was used and all seams were caulked. I was pleased with the precision fit of the replacement boards. The job took somewhat longer than expected due to the 100 degree weather experienced during the job, requiring the guys to quit early and actually not paint on a couple of days. It was clear that the painters, and company as a whole, take pride in their work, taking the time to get it done right. Overall, I have nothing but good things to say about NoName Painters and would strongly recommend them for exterior painting with minor carpentry work.
Description of Work: NoName painted the second story clapboard and all trim and facia boards of my two story colonial home. Facia boards (1x6's and 1x2's) just under the roof line as well as drip cap on the south side were replaced as these boards did not hold paint in previous paint jobs. One window sill was also replaced. They first power washed the entire second story on all sides, then did extensive scraping, caulking, and priming to all peeling paint. They then followed by two coats of flat white Sherwin Williams paint.

Not well. It is very frustrating when you call a company and they say they can do the job and then you never hear from them again. If they don't want the job, that's fine, but at least call and say that so that I can move on to another company. I'm surprised that they are on Angie's List.
Description of Work: I called them about a small painting job. I received a phone call and said they could handle a small job; however, I called back two times and never received a call back so I gave up.

Each bedroom had one wall of wall paper and the entire hallway/stairs/foyer had wall paper. I managed to remove all but the really high wall paper in the stairway and some of the paper backing in the foyer. The wall paper in the hall/stairs/foyer area left a horrible glue residue a millimeter thick. No Name Painters came in and prepped everything, primed and put 2 coats on everything. The horrible glue ended up needing to be skim coated after priming it. They were sure to put up plastic barriers to the rest of the house while sanding down those walls. Then they were primed again and 2 coats of color. Tim did give me a per hour estimate not knowing how much time I would have to finish taking down the wall paper and paper backings. That came in handy with the extra work associated with the nasty wall paper glue! The work took an extra day (4 in total ranging from 2 guys to 5 guys at any given time) but Tim informed me of the progress(I'm not living there yet). Communication was great, no surprises. I did a walk through with the head painter and we found a few areas needing to be touched up. They left the place nice and neat and clean with all the wall plates back up. A great job! I will definitely use and refer these guys again.
Description of Work: I had No Name Painters paint 5 bedrooms, 5 closets, including ceilings and trim, and upstairs hallway/stairs/foyer with two small closets excluding trim. I did not have them paint the window frames.

Everything went very well. Mark was very responsive, and was able to stop by for an estimate right away after I called. This was much appreciated since we just purchased a new home and wanted to complete the job as soon as possible so we could move in. The estimate was very competitive and the job was performed with no extra fees or costs. The painters did very nice quality work, especially with the removal of some very old wallpaper. The new paint looks fantastic and very professional, with nice clean lines and trim work, and a very even finish (which is noteworthy considering how dark some of the original walls were and that there was texturized paint in many of the rooms). The only very minor glitch was that an outlet cover was missing, but I called and Mark dropped by right away the next day with a new one. All in all, I would highly recommend this company and their crew.

I got them off of Angie's List. They were upfront with their pricing. They were quick to come out and do an estimate. I would recommend them to others. Their price was good. They weren't the lowest price and they weren't the highest for the work that I had. Their quality is an A as they did a good job. I think I would use them again in the future of need be.

First of all, I want to apologize for submitting the review so late. I found out about this company from Angie's List and I had positive experience from the beginning until the end. Tim, Mark, Jim and their crew are great. They were punctual, polite and very professional. Mark was there at least once or twice every day to check on the progress and answered any questions that I had. All the furniture were covered. The crew cleaned up everyday and put all the tools in one corner when they finished. They are amazing and I couldn't ask for more.
Description of Work: My project involved putting up drywalls, mudding and sanding on one wall and also the same thing on the ceiling. They also put up a mantel and painted the living room, dining room and kitchen. New light fixtures were installed as well.

I spent $3500 on that work. They have always been absolutely excellent. They were relatively good compared to all the bids I had. The owner comes around and takes watch and inspects. He knows his stuff and the material. They cleaned up every night before they left and put their ladders away.

A wonderful experience. They got to me faster than expected, did an amazing job and were just the nicest people. I'll definitely use them again and spread the word around.
Description of Work: Had a really bad install of a wall-mounted TV and speakers which left massive holes in the drywall on two walls. They fixed the holes and painted the room and it looks absolutely amazing. The only thing better than their ability is their people. Every single person I dealt with, including Diego the painter, was as nice as can be.

This was a large task and it took a crew of five people three days to complete. They covered everything up prior to removing the wall paper and painting and removed all essential items from the walls such as wall plates and lighting fixtures prior to starting work. After completion of the work they put everything back and cleaned up the areas. Tim Salman, the owner of the company, came by periodically to check on things and he came over after the work was completed to inspect everything and to make sure that we were happy with the work. We were very pleased with the professionalism of the staff and how careful they were in doing their work. We will certainly use the company again in the future.
Description of Work: Five people from No Name Painters came to remove the wall paper from the family, room, kitchen, hallway, and half bath. Then, they repaired and patched the walls where needed and applied a seal coat to the walls. After completing this they painted the walls twice and painted the ceilings in each area. A carpenter came in to raise the height of our kitchen cabinets above our existing refrigerator one inch because it is being replaced by a new one which is taller during the remodeling of the kitchen.

Painting went pretty well. The job went an extra day (needed a third coat of paint, and closet needed skim coat), but I was not charged for the extra time, and the painter told me as soon as he realized it would take extra time. He did his best to keep the dust out of the rest of the house. Had a little bit of tracking from when we walked in and out, but not much of a problem, really. The paint job itself looked terrific. Based on the quality of the work, and the upfront costs, I would definitely use them again.

We got a quote in early August for interior and exterior painting of the house to be performed before we moved into our newly purchased home on 9/1. The scheduled quote had to be post poned as the owner locked his keys in his office and could not get over as soon as I needed, although he was willing to meet me after work which was quite nice. The second attempt at meeting he was on time and we had no issues. I was told the job could be done before our move in date, no problem. In a week we decided to use the company for exterior services only as we found a cheaper quote for the interior, although I do not know that the company we used for the interior did as good of a job as No Name would have. The work was scheduled for the week prior to our move in day beginning Wednesday and expecting to last 2 days. The workers were painting while we were at work during the day but by the second day not all work was complete. Per the foreman by my inquiry, I was told that it would take another day. I was disappointed the owner did not call me to discuss as he was the one I had dealt with until the work began and that I had to even ask instead of being notified. The work was completed in an additional two days which crossed over our move in time, causing a slight inconvenience but the genetleman worked with us to ensure the doors we needed would be available, etc. Overall the house looks great. I wish they would have done a wash after the house was complete though as there are stains on the house from the original pre-paint powerwash where dirt had dripped down to areas they were not painting that are now left showing. Owner is a pleasure to work with and responded in a fairly timely manner. Payment was easy, by check or over the phone with credit card. Average deposit required, nothing unusual. I allowed them access to my home while I was not present and had no issues there, although the house was empty for 2 of the 4 days. Area around exterior of home was kept clean.
