NAKED FURNITURE

Generally went well--I wasn't in a hurry, and they explained which wood would produce the best finished product, etc. I placed the order on August 31 and was given an estimate of 8-9 weeks (late October) for completion. Just after I left the store, I realized I need the hinges on the door to be on the left rather than the right; I called them a few minutes after I left the store, made the request, and they assured me there was no problem. I gave them a paint chip that I wanted matched for the finish. It was finally ready on 11/15, but when I went to pick it up, the hinges were on the wrong side. They said I could take it home and that they would come and replace the door; I opted to leave the piece there until the correct door was installed. Was finally done on 11/29, when I picked it up. Paint match was perfect.

ON 11-1-01 WE ORDERED THE FURNITURE AND MADE ARRANGEMENTS FOR IT TO BE FINISHED. THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 6-8 WEEKS. THEY CALLED US 4 WEEKS LATER AND WE WENT TO PICK IT UP. IT HAD GOUGES, SCRATCHES & WAS POORLY FINISHED. THE STORE MANAGER OFFERED TO TAKE A LITTLE BIT OFF THE PRICE FOR THE CRUDDY WORK. WE TOLD THEM TO FIX IT OR WE DIDNT WANT IT. I SPOKE TO THE OWNER ON 2-6-02 AND HE AGREED TO FURNISH A NEW PIECE OF FURNITURE AND NOT CHARGE US FOR THE FINISHING. HE SAID IT WOULD BE HERE IN TWO WEEKS. IT HAS BEEN THREE WEEKS AND WE STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM.
