BRYAN'S GARAGE DOOR SOLUTIONS

I have used Bryan for 2 garage door related issues. The first was approximately 6 months ago as our garage door motor seemed to die. Bryan was quick to respond, came out that day and let me know the good news that it was a few tweaks of the motor and the garage door opener worked. This is a testament to his honesty as he could have easily sold me a new motor. He then took about 10 minutes to suggest lubricants to use to prolong the life of the springs and garage door. I had committed to writing a review for him, but life got in the way. Friday my garage wouldn't open. I called Bryan who quickly and correctly diagnosed the problem over the phone, advised he was unavailable that day, gave me advice on how to get out of the garage and then promptly showed up Monday morning when he said he would. Consistent with his previous work, he was punctual, honest, and very quick. I'm very happy to know that if I have any garage door issues, I can rely on Bryan.

Our garage door gave out and because we had used Bryan in the past I called him right away. He was able to come out the next morning, called to let me know when he was on his way and even ended up patiently waiting for my husband to come home because I had locked myself out of our house. Bryan was professional, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. He quickly assessed what was wrong and made the repair in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend Bryan and will use his services in the future.

I highly recommend Bryan. Prior to this we'd also used his services for minor repair work on our openers. He is very responsive and helpful, and is very focused on delivering what you want, how you want it, without cutting corners. Whether its a big job or a minor repair, he's approached the job with the goal of making the customer happy. He also does not pressure you into a decision or try to upsell products, and instead just explains what can be done and what's available and lets you decide. One of our old doors developed a crack in a panel, and instead of replacing just that one door we wanted to find metal doors that have more of a wooden carriage house look to them. Until we got the cracked door replaced, it was unusable. At no charge and without us even requesting it, Bryan came out on his own and installed a brace for the cracked door to get us through until the new doors arrived. Bryan helped guide us through the selection process and we were able to find what we were looking for. For the installation, Bryan took care to make sure the job was done right so it would last. Our original openers had been installed with the track angled down toward the door. That apparently put stress on the doors which over time resulted in one cracking. Bryan made sure to install both openers level so the problem would not recur. Bryan contacted us when he learned the new doors would be delivered to him and set up an installation appointment for the next day. The doors look better than we'd even hoped they would. We couldn't be happier with the look and operation of the new doors, and we also couldn't be happier with Bryan's service. I would not hesitate to call him again.

Our custom wood garage door was severely damaged and inoperable after my wife drove out while the door was going down. I called Brian after reading the 100% "A" reviews Brian has received from Angie's List. I was skeptical that anyone could receive the 100% positive plus reviews given to this company. I mean really.....but after I had BRYAN'S GARAGE DOOR SOLUTIONS repair our door I have to admit it....Bryan is awesome. Here is why. I called Bryian after his normal business hours and explained the situation of the door in pieces on the floor and my wife's concern about leaving the garage open to critters or worse. He was busy completing another project but he agreed to come over as soon as he finished and take a look. Brian arived in about two hours and after explaining the cost and approximate time to get the door back up and operating he got to work. Im sure Brian would have finished even sooner, but I was there to constantly ask questions and engage him in conversation. He is extremely knowledgeable as well as being a great craftsman. Long story short....the door was back up and operating in about an hour. Brian explained that was the easy part. The door was custom made using the custom cedar siding used on our house. Fortunately the previous owner left just enough to replace the two panels destroyed. However, the masonite base used for the doors would have to be ordered and might take a month or more to arrive. Bryan called back on Monday to give me good news, he had located 2 Masonite panels of the proper thickness west of Rockford and if I was willing to pay for his travel. That was a no brainer....he picked up the materials and arrived at our house the next day. He had the door off, and back on in less than 3 hours and all but a coat of stain from looking like new. This guy is the real deal. He always arrived at or before the time he scheduled with us to arrive. He explains the proceedures and extra steps he takes to ensure proper repair as well as proper operation of the doors and openers. Bottom line.... I 100% recommend Bryan's Garage Door Solutions. I will be calling him soon to design and build three new custom doors for our new garage.

I called Bryan on Monday and let him know that my garage door opener stopped working. He said he could repair it or replace it. He quoted me the amount to repair and then explained the model options for replacement. I did my research and let him know on Tuesday that I wanted the Liftmaster 8550. We scheduled an appointment for Wednesday morning. He showed up on time and completed the installation in under an hour. He also lubricated the garage door (installed by Bryan a couple years back) for me as well. Overall, excellent service and garage door opener. I would definitely recommend Bryan and call him again for garage service.

Bryan was great! Even though he was very busy, I was his first stop. He re-built the gear drive in a matter of minutes. I really appreciated how quickly he returned my phone call, came to my house and fixed my garage door.

We called Bryan on a Saturday morning when one of our garage door springs broke. He called us back from a job and said he would be out late afternoon that day. He was good as his word, showing up late afternoon and replaced the garage door springs. Fantastic service!

I thought one of the springs was broken and needed to be replaced. When Bryan inspected the spring it was just loose and needed to be tightened up a few turns. I think one of the gears on the automatic opener trolley broke while we were testing it and he replaced the trolley as well. To replace the 2 springs for my 2 car garage he quoted me $250, but for the visit, spring adjustment and trolley replacement he charged me $100. He was at my house in under an hour from when I called. I will call him in the future if I ever need garage door service again.

I have used Bryan before to install a new spring, and loved his service, so when the bracket that attaches the Garage Door Opener to the door came off because the screws were stripped out, I called Bryan again. He is always very prompt, and quick with his work. He attached a new, very sturdy bracket (which should have been done when the door was installed, but who knows who actually installed that door). He also tightened other screws that were loose. He was in and out within 20 minutes. Always a pleasure to have Bryan do work for us.

One of the springs on our two-car garage door broke about two weeks ago. It couldn't have happened at a worse time, as the weather hit below freezing temperatures. Since the garage door was older, my husband and I decided this was the time to get a new door. We found Bryan's Garage Door Solutions on Angie's List and couldn't be happier with our experience. Bryan's accessibility was remarkable; we reached him immediately and didn't need to deal with voice mail. He was very knowledgeable - answering all of our questions -- and his pricing was good. Bryan has a large selection of garage doors available, which was a real plus. We went with an insulated door that has windows along the top panel. Within a day we selected our new garage door and made arrangements with Bryan to have the installation occur early the following week -- despite the freezing temperatures! We were really impressed! On the day of installation, Bryan arrived right on time and did superb work - finishing the job in less time than he estimated. The quality of the garage door is excellent. We ABSOLUTELY love our new garage door -- what a difference it makes to the curb appeal of our home! The inside temperature of our garage is warmer too! Bryan -- thank you! Bryan was great! He was very responsive, helpful, professional and honest. I called him in the morning and he completed the job by replacing the Springs the same night within half an hour as promised. I wasn't able to meet him during his work hours, so he was kind enough to stop by at night, right on time. He showed me exactly what the problem was, replaced the springs with a highesr quality spring that would last longer, and also replaced the bracket that caused the dent on the door with no extra charge. I'll definitely will referring him and using him again!

We are very pleased with the installation of our new garage door and opener. Bryan did a great job. He was punctual and explained everything in detail. He went above and beyond by adjusting a light fixture that had not been working on the ceiling. He seems to be very proud of his work and we would recommend him.

Bryan came out, after we agreed on a date/time. He was very knowledgeable and tried his best to get the sensor to work again with my remote, but ultimately he diagnosed the problem being that the computer/receiver inside the opener was dead. He gave me prices on Liftmaster systems, which he highly recommends, but certainly didn't push me in that direction. Plus he pointed out how the frame for my Genie system was bent, which would explain why we always have trouble closing the door. In the end, we decided to hold off until the following spring or summer to do the install, but due to Bryan's excellent knowledge, efforts, and customer service, we'll plan to go with him when we are ready. He quoted us a price of $350 for a Liftmaster Chain Drive system (including installation), which we thought was reasonable, compared to other quotes we've seen. We especially appreciated the fact that he didn't charge us a normal service call (I think $75), since he wasn't by us very long. He asked for $20 to cover gas and little of his time, which we thought was very reasonable. Bryan is a great guy and we look forward to working with him when we replace our system in '13!

Bryan provided prompt service at a reasonable fee. I liked, in particular, that Bryan explained what he was doing, and once he was done, he showed me how to keep the garage door working by lubricating the rollers and hinges. I now realize that garage doors, like other equipment, requires periodic maintenance to guarantee reliable operation over the years. This was an invaluable lesson.

Bryan replaced our garage door springs in the past and did such a great job, I had him back a year later to replace our Garage Door Opener. I called him at night as the Garage Door motor totally gave out, and the next day he came and did a great job replacing the Garage door opener. We upgraded our old garage door model and I'm sure glad we did. The new one is very quiet and has lots of new features we are using.
