BRYAN'S GARAGE DOOR SOLUTIONS

Bryan did a great job. He showed up when promised, was extremely courteous, and professional. He took extra time to explain to me how to take care of the door as well as how to operate the many gadgets that came with the door. He also tossed in some nice little extra gadgets. Shortly after the door was installed, my husband backed into it with the boat (motor) and dented it. I have contacted Bryan to see if it can be repaired. I plan to continue doing business with Bryan whenever needed.

Bryan diagnosed the problem over the phone. We made an appointment to replace the spring. He showed up on time, replaced the spring, aligned and lubricated the track, and gave me some maintenance tips. No surprises, did what he said he would do. I am very pleased.

I enjoyed doing business with Bryan; I have had minimal experience with this type of service. The fact that he could arrive the next day was helpful; due to the issue of my concern over the car being outside in the below zero wind and cold. (My back is seriously afflicted with degenerative disk disease; so I would not lift the door manually.) I did make it known that he came highly recommended through membership in Angie's List. Bryan had concerns with The List and not having a way to challenge some other reports. So it is apparent that he takes this very seriously. He took the time to discuss these in detail; hoping that I might talk one day with Angie. (I had told him that I knew her personally) Bryan seems to be an enthusiastic proponent! The door is working well since the visit on February 7th, 2007. He works hard and apparently comes with a good attitude and pride in his work.

Bryan responded promptly, as he promised, to our call for garage door repair service. He was respectful of our home, courteous and fully articulated the problems encountered/recommended repairs in order for us to make an informed decision about the work to be done. We decided to hire Bryan on the spot and can report that his work was professional and excellent. It's noteworthy that he also repaired the previous garage door installer's mistakes, which we were not even aware of, including replacing 2 hinges and adjusting the emergency disconnect system, limit switch settings and repair of several steel operating parts with no additional charges! Bryan performed all the work in Chicagoland's -35 degrees winter weather conditions, was very reasonable on pricing, efficient, and left no mess for us to clean-up! We were more than very pleased with the service from Bryan's Garage Door Solutions and would highly recommend him as a dependable and professional high quality contractor.

I found Bryan's name on Angie's List and phoned him one afternoon, briefly describing our problem. Although he had a fairly busy schedule that week and wasn't sure if he could make it out right away, he called me the next day and made time to squeeze us in between appointments. He was extremely nice, very helpful and knowledgeable, and all at a fabulous price. We will definitely call Bryan again.

I needed a new garage door but knew nothing about them. I called Bryan on a Monday morning and told him what I needed. He walked me through the process, giving me a website to look at to help me pick door styles. He was so helpful on the phone. I was able to choose a door style and make an appointment for Wednesday. He was great, and the quality of the work is amazing. It only took him a few hours to complete the job. The new door is beautiful and so quiet. Thanks Bryan!

We had a broken garage door spring that would not allow us to open the door at all (even manually) the night of a major snowstorm. Our cars were locked inside! We called Bryan at 8:00 p.m. (while he was out at dinner at a restaurant), and he spent 20 minutes on the phone helping my husband reduce the weight on the unit manually so that we could get our cars out in the morning. Thank you!!!! Bryan came out promptly the next day (he stayed in communication with us all day so we knew his exact arrival time) and replaced the springs, replaced a light bulb that was out, and explained how to oil the springs and moving parts so that it lasts longer. He left a professional bill and sticker for my door so that we can call him when we need help!

Bryan came to provide service the same day he was called. He replaced the springs and installed the trolly. He put an advertisement sticker on the garage wall next to the light switch. I paid and he left. Several days later we heard a noise. I called Bryan and he suggested we purchase a new trolly and he would install it at no charge. When he installed it I told him I was not happy about the sticker. He removed it and offered to paint the wall where the paint had come off. I also asked him to try to get the grease off of the garage wall above the door, which he tried. I was offering him a chance to correct these things before I made a report to Angie's list. He addressed both issues. Up to this point I was satisfied until he phoned me and the conversation was unpleasant. He was concerned about his grades and ended up asking me not to make a report. He also said that if I needed any more work that I call someone else.

Bryan was very responsive and I was impressed that he answered the phone personally when I first called to request service. It is always nice to get a live body rather than have to leave a message and wait for a call back. He was swamped with other work, but managed to fit us in the next day and was very helpful. He did all the above work for the price of the service call. He did not have the parts necessary to make a full repair for us that day, but said he would deduct the $75 we were paying from the full repair if we needed him to come out again within 2 months. I was very impressed with his knowledge and the fact that customer service was important to him.

Great! First I was so shocked at how quickly he could come out. He fit me in to his schedule. I found him to be very honest and his work was very clean. His work was also done in a timely manner. One thing that I found to be a perfect thing to do was that he put his sticker by the garage door opener switch. Then when I need him again I know how to get hold of him right away, and not have to take time looking up his number or even trying to remember who fixed the door last. Bryan made my day.

Bryan's direct cell number is on his website. He even answered his own phone when I called no secretary, no voicemail, and no answering service. He gave me a quick appointment for a quote. When he arrived (within the time window), he impressed me with his knowledge of doors, installation techniques, materials, openers, troubleshooting, and product options. This man knows garage doors. He was prepared with literature, material/color samples, patience, and plenty of sound advice. He completely answered the many dumb questions I asked, and even convinced me to change my original color choice for the door and ultimately he was right. I signed a contract on the spot, and two days later, he installed the new door and opener in three hours. Before leaving, he left instructions for maintaining the opener, the track hardware, and the door. Bryan is a craftsman who cares about doing quality work and providing excellent service to his customers. I hired the right man.

We had a problem with one of the cables attached to the springs on our garage door. It is the same problem, different side, that we experienced some months ago. I found Bryan's name the first time through Angie's List. We were very pleased with his work the first time, so I called him again. Of course, the problem occurred on a Friday morning as we were preparing to leave town for the night. I called Bryan and scheduled an appointment for Monday. We pulled down the door manually as best we could. What a surprise when he came by on Sunday and had our door fixed in no time! As before, he was professional, courteous, and capable.

Aside from being incredibly professional, Bryan also was very "people-friendly" and gave me lots of valuable information on maintaining my garage opener. I would DEFINITELY recommend him to everyone. There should be an A+++ rating for him.

If all contractors/service providers were like Bryan. Angie's List would not be necessary. He's professional, courteous, prompt, very knowledgable, honest and reasonably priced. He returns calls promptly and arrives when he says he will. As soon as the garage door was opened and he saw the door opener, he knew what was wrong. He also knew the age of the unit right away without me telling him. We were expecting to have to replace it as we thought the motor was shot and it's 16 years old. Bryan made a few quick adjustments and it was working fine. He could have easily told us we had to buy a new one and we would not have known the difference. I highly recommend him, there is no reason to use anyone else. Thanks Bryan!

There were three things that I enjoyed while working with Bryan. Usually I get one or two of these when working with a contractor but all three qualities are rare: 1) Bryan really knows his stuff. He is a subject matter expert in garage doors. 2) Bryan is an expert communicator - very easy to get a hold of via phone or e-mail. He calls you back when you have a question. 3) He worked with me. I didnt know exactly what I wanted and he took the time to explain my options. Many guys want to do cookie-cutter jobs and get out. Bryan was patient and came up with a lot of good solutions.

Bryan was not just good but GREAT. He has done other work for me and he was the reason I joined Angie's List; to find other great people like him!!

Bryan showed up early and performed the work with no problems. He recommended a complete door replacement in the near future and rest assured we will call him again to do the work.

Bryan was great. He called to let me know he was on his way, and when he arrived he removed and disposed of the existing equipment and replaced with the new door, opener, keypad, and monitor. He did an excellent job, cleaned up completely, and explained how everything worked and how to maintain it. It was a great experience.

Bryan was great. He was able to come out the same afternoon I called, was on time, personable and worked quickly. He was also very informative explaining what he was doing and about how to maintain the garage door in the future. I especially appreciated that he did not try to sell more services than were actually needed and used good quality parts.

I called Bryan to schedule an appointment for garage door repair when my door refused to close. I called him at 9:30pm on a weeknight. He answered the call and gave me advice about sensor alignment right over the phone without hesitation! It worked. I would use him in heartbeat if I had any garage door issues.

Bryan returned my inquiry for an estimate, and said he didn't service my area. Referred me to another company that he worked frequently with. Bryan was also very helpful when I called to ask a few general garage door, follow-up questions after speaking to his referral. I ended up using that referral company (who wasn't on the list) and had a great experience. Would definitely call Bryan again for further work/estimates.

Bryan is a true professional. He came out to provide a written estimate and showed us actual samples of the doors and hardware. He installed the door two days later. After researching several other companies, Bryan is hands down the best. He does not try to over sell you on something you do not need and he takes the time to answer all of your questions. He even followed up with a phone call a few weeks later, to make sure everything was working properly and that we were happy with the door. Now that is customer service. Bryan, thank you for your professionalism and excellent work.

Our garage door opener (installed in 1999) broke, we called the original installation company who no longer had our original work in their database. They couldn't come out to fix our opener for a week. Since we needed to get in and out of garage, I called Bryan (found him in the yellow pages) and he (1) fit us in the very same day; (2) had a replacement system that upgraded our original opener; (3) installed a battery back up for us at no extra cost because he had one available; (4) also installed the key pad and remote that we wanted, (even though he was fitting us in between appointments). He was professional, courteous, friendly, and did quick, excellent work. His pricing was very competitive, and we would definitely recommend him very highly, to others.
